Champloo has been one of my favorite shows for years, but I just started watching Cowboy Bebop recently. I told my cousin about it and his reaction was "Why bother? It's the exact same thing as Champloo". I've seen about 20 episodes in to bebop and I'm just not seeing it. I understand that they are roughly the same "type" of show. I also have created a loose connection between Mugen and Spike, simply because the look similar and are voiced by the same guy (sounds like it at least). Anyone know what he's talking about without ruining anything for me?

I do. I remember being obsessed with a terrible anime called Shinzo that came on Jetix. Beyblade came on there as well I think.

For me, the question is extremely vague. What do I think of people from the UK? Well, as a general principle I don't like/dislike them for being from the UK. My grandad was over at my house just today actually. He always likes to talk about his experiences during WWII, but it never gets old. I'm afraid I don't have the right terminology, but you know those landing boats that would ride up to a beach and drop off the soldiers from the front? Well, he drove one of those. He was also not far off the coast of Japan when we decided to drop the bombs instead of invade. Had we invaded he would have been in the first wave, and I likely wouldn't be here. When I was much younger, he would show me his Japanese rifle he got after the war ended. He never really used it beyond shooting fish over the side of his ship after leaving Japan. It's really a nice rifle. He seems to show some slight prejudice towards the Japanese. I hate it, but I suppose that's just what happens...

*Sigh* Yes, graphics are a very important aspect. But i think the difference between the graphics of a pc and the graphics of a console aren't as dramatic as you imply in your metaphor. Oh yes, there's a difference, but not a matter of heaven or hell as you seem to say. And while you were at such unrest trying to get your Skyrim game looking real shiny (which I commend you for) I was, nevertheless, perfectly content with my Skyrim experience as I was already slaying dragon and looting dungeons. Are you going to say I'm wrong for that? So what if you spent ages trying to get Skyrim to look good? What's that got to do with me? Why are you even bringing that up? Are you trying to impress me? Look I don't care what you play on. I'm more curious about why you have the attitude you do. Am I as a primarily console gamer just making things that difficult for you?

No, we aren't talking about 'graphics and gaming'. We are talking about gaming specifically. My OP never mentioned graphics. Where is all this about "creating rather than consuming" coming from? As an avid Photoshop user I get exactly what you are saying, but that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with gaming. Neither is giving these people in bad countries hope. I'm not saying this isn't important, I'm just saying you're getting off topic. Anyone with a pc can do those things - and I imagine everyone here has one, right? You don't have to be a gamer to help someone like that, or create things with photoshop. "I'll stop there to give you a faint hope of a chance". See, THAT is the attitude I'm talking about. There's nothing practical about thinking that way. It is as if you can't just enjoy your pc as it is, you have to MAKE me realize that console gaming is inferior - which is sort of a jerk move if I say so myself. Maybe I'm just misreading you though. What can my console do? It plays games, good sir. Yes, games - the most important aspect of gaming which many of us seem to have forgotten about. Everything from my NES to my 360 does what I want them to, and that is simply to play games. Nothing more, nothing less. And, heaven forbid, I am perfect content with that. Now, having said that..... I'm sorry that this thread derailed into a huge argument. I should have seen it coming. If I said or did anything that legitimately offended you, I'm sorry. And to the rest of the people here: I want to ask if there is any hope of us just leaving it all behind us and just accept the fact that some people prefer what they do for reasons that we sometimes can't understand ourselves? I mean where is this discussion going to get us...? No one's opinion ever get's changed like this. Everyone just leaves frustrated, defending their point all the more. Again, I'm sorry.

Wow, are we really bringing up graphics? Please provide a better argument. I mean if you all say that PC games are being "held back" by console games (Not our fault by the way) then there really doesn't seem to be that much of an advantage going with a pc in the first place.

I'll just go ahead and say that I too come from a background of both pc and console gaming. Why not petition for more PC exclusives? I mean it's not the console gamer's fault that pc games are held back. Take it to developers.

That actually makes sense. But it isn't the player's fault. I just despise elitists of any sort really.

Is there actually a practical reason for this? I mean generally all i see in these sort of discussions online are overzealous pc elitist jerks who are wildly frustrated with console gamers who are perfectly content with their PS4. I mean do people preferring to play a console take away from the experience of the people on pc? I don't want to start a war over this. I just want to know if there is any practical reason for this attitude I keep seeing.
