This movie looks amazing and this trailer is the only thing keeping me sane this morning.

I'm not sure why Dragon Tales is trending on Twitter, but I'm glad that it is because I remembered just how much I loved it growing up!
-
Congratulations to the Academy for getting it mostly right this year!

While I would never wish this fate upon anybody, I can't exactly say I feel sorry for him.
-
I hope you're in high spirits.

Headcanon: Rarity had a goth phase as a teenager.

It always amuses me when people on the right accuse the left of being easily offended snowflakes when growing up, all I heard about and saw were parents (almost ALWAYS Republicans) attacking media like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Harry Potter because they were "satanic".
Or how Conservative Christian groups boycotted and protested music groups like Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, etc because they were "satanic" or they "promoted devil worship". Hell, they STILL do that.

Sorry if I sounded angry a minute ago.

Which fandom is worse: DCEU Snyder cultists or Star Wars?

I've seen several instances of people going on about how everyone is a Star Wars fans going on about how they're all united on one umbrella and they should appreciate the Star Wars experience, and then attack people for enjoying the prequels. It's one of those things where I love the franchise but I really want to distance myself from the fanbase
-
@Megas Man, I'm right there with you. I saw it first hand when everyone was badmouthing the prequels 7-8 years ago and saying that George Lucas "raped" their childhood. And it's happening with the new stuff. Say what you will about the new movies, but none of the cast/crew deserve death threats or harassment.
-
If certain sections of the Star Wars fanbase had their way, then saying ANYTHING positive about the new movies would become an offense punishable by death.
I mean, if you don't like it, then that's okay. But, don't clown other people for liking something that you don't.

Wanna know how you can tell when people dislike a movie/show irrationally? They don't shut up about it.

@Megas Hell, Im guilty of this, too. I stewed over how much I disliked Batman v. Superman for a while. But it stopped being fun pretty fast and I moved on once I got over it.

I just thought of an interesting headcanon for what happened in between S2 and S3.

It takes place a week after the events of "A Canterlot Wedding". Twilight is having recurring nightmares about not only the invasion of Canterlot, but also the night of the wedding rehearsal. As the nightmares get worse, Spike becomes increasingly worried about Twilight. She repeatedly insists that she's "fine", but Spike doesn't buy it. He secretly tells the rest of the Mane Six about how odd Twilight has been acting and they stage an intervention with her at the Library.
Twilight again tries to alleviate her friends' concerns by saying that she's fine. However, she relents and reveals that she's still upset with all of them over how they abandoned her at the wedding rehearsal. She then hallucinates that the rest of her friends are Changelings. Fortunately, she snaps out of it and after she tearfully describes her nightmares to the Mane Five, they contact Princess Celestia.
Unfortunately, Twilight has another hallucination about Princess Celestia being a Changsling when she arrives and Twilight takes shelter in her room. Later, Shining Armor and Cadence also show up to visit Twilight after their honeymoon. Spike accidentally reveals what's going on with Twilight and what happened at the wedding rehearsal, and Cadence is none too pleased. Twilight snaps awake from another nightmare and her loved ones later agree to take her to seek help in Canterlot.

I wonder if I should do a scoring poll for Season 9.

I think that more and more people will come to appreciate The Last Jedi as time goes by.

I enjoyed the new Star Wars movie. But I think I'm going to wait out the discourse in my bunker.

I enjoyed it a lot myself. Fantastic plot, good acting, and exciting twists. They seem to always find a way to keep it entertaining/suspenseful in every minute of the movie. None of those boring dialogue and pointless scenes that we see in some movies nowadays.
QuoteNow give it at least years until fans of the OT, PT, and ST start praising the sequels and complain about the 2022-2026 trilogy....
I wouldn't get my hopes up. If hatred for the prequels hasn't died by now, then hatred for the sequels probably won't die anytime soon. If I recall correctly, there are even a sizable subset of fans who are still not happy with Return of the Jedi. But I digress.

You nailed it right on the head, there!

If life has taught me anything, it's that there are 3 topics that will cause heated debate:
1. Religion
2. Politics
3. The Last Jedi

Knives Out might be the best movie I've seen all year so far. At least in terms of how much fun I had watching it.
-
The more I watch Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the more I love it.

Pete Docter has come to save cinema once again! https://youtu.be/4TojlZYqPUo

Fluttershy would be traumatized by the first 5 minutes of Finding Nemo.

Grafting the jock personality onto Supergirl and forgoing her love of science doesn't really work or suit her.
