Naw, I agree with you there. I wish we had more exploration too. We've been getting a lot of Canterlot and Manehattan. I like the episodes there but I don't want to be stuck in these locations forever either. One idea of the map is to take us to a tropical beach or the ocean. Maybe feature seaponies! Given some of the previous episodes, I might agree. Actually, given Rarity's prominence in this and the last season, I think it would have been better if another character had gone with Pinkie. For example, Rainbow Dash. Even though it meant she'd be out of her element given the city location, it might have made sense. She's proved to be a conformist with the Wonderbolts and she the type to rush to change things in the restaurant to quickly solve the problem as she sees it. That's my own opinion though. Pinkie sucks plate. Also, the return of Oinky Pie was much appreciated.

So much what I was thinking! Yeah, I would have given Rarity the benefit of the doubt due to fashion trends if she didn't have such an intimate experience with this situation in Canterlot Boutique. There is the chance she could still fall to conformity but I don't think it would be in this way. Also, I do think some people might indeed take the wrong moral. The issue was not with criticism or review. Heck, that's what WE are doing RIGHT NOW. The problem was that the critic was using her opinion to control other ponies and the restaurants. She was forcing others to conform to HER preferences and that's not right. Also, for the record, control has never required brute force. There are many ways that one person can control another that does not include physical aggression.

I LOVE songs! And remixes. When was the last time we had Shy and Dash for a song? The pet episode? How we deal with family can be worlds different than how we deal with others. Some people can go so far as to seemingly switch personalities entirely. Fluttershy was clearly accustomed to her brother's patterns and knew to be firm. I personally used to act very differently with friends than I did family, but not so much anymore.

We seem to have some indication as to why Rainbow might not have mentioned him before. So much me. There may be things I don't like that happen in the show but it's rare for me to really be upset because I don't get rubbed the wrong way when they do something that goes against my preconceptions. The few times I am upset by something it has to do with some episode moral I don't think was right or perhaps was just not well executed. And that's perfectly natural. *pets* But we did get a cool new word for this episode. "Peeved." Just be sure not to use it in the presence of young foals.

I really don't see this personally. Compared to previous episodes and seasons, the conversations all felt just normal and in-character. It wouldn't surprise me if AJ was a workaholic. But she did seem to honestly look forward to the spa stuff.

That's kind of cool though. Getting a mini comic no matter how short would make the movie super memorable and be a priceless keeper. Kind of like my special ticket I got for Rainbow Rocks. It actually had a black/white photo of the EqG girls on it. Hasbro really should understand that the smallest things can make something super special.

I'm on permanent shore leave for this one. That's why I criticize the way he was portrayed. If they hadn't made him disrespectful and destructive then it would have been far more obvious he had run back to the parents house out of fear and the moral of the story would have felt more natural. Personally, I also think it would have fit the Shy family more if he were a timid character afraid of failure rather than a pushy narcissistic one.
