  1. I really like her colors. She catches my eye every time.
  2. I thought season five was supposed to focus on cutie marks, at least that was the buzz when it started.
  3. I remember the day I asked the question about why we don't see miracles in today's world like they saw in the Bible days. Miracles like parting of the waters, turning water into wine or blood, casting demons into pigs, feeding the 5000, things like that. The response from someone much more spiritual than me (my mom) explained that since the Bible came to us, God doesn't necessarily need to perform miracles in order to prove his existence or convince nonbelievers, or whatever His motivation was, whether by Him or through someone else. The Bible is miraculous enough, but its contents are designed to guide us and answer our questions, therefore the necessity of miracles to make a point has decreased. I believe this. Now, not to say that there are not miracles today. Every birth of a new life is a miracle, every cancer survivor, every car wreck survivor, every day that a meteor doesn't destroy the earth is a miracle. Todays "miracles" generally have to do with narrowly escaping death in some way. But the miracles of old, the ones that changed tangible things right in front of people's eyes, I believe those don't happen anymore. But maybe there are some interesting ones out there, Im interested in reading some of the links here. Very interesting articles. I would imagine there are a few supposed apparition occurances, each one its own level of spiritual awesomeness. sxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx my cat walked across the laptop and somehow edited this post to add the above content.
  4. Please dig up links! Not because im skeptical but more so excited to read something on modern miracles. I am driving but i want to reply later.
  5. Sure. I do believe that too. Cases where true God's miracles are apparent, i think those situations are happening less than before the time when people had the bible. Now that we have God's Word to help guide us, we need to make sure we are not just sitting around waiting and claiming God doesn't hear us.
  6. Oooh i see. Well my intention was for the person asking to be the one to pray and have faith(and be a witness if the friend has questions etc), which, my perception of that individual was that he or she was not in question about their own faith, only their friend's situation. Maybe i read the post wrong? I can see that just 'having faith and praying' can be a hard thing to do but sometimes its the only thing a person can do. And prayer is powerful.
  7. The best thing you can do is be a witness to him as much as you think is appropriate and most of all, pray for him. Of course you must realize that it is in Gods hands and when He feels it is the right time to work within your friends heart, He will. Have faith!
  8. Since you been gone, i can breathe for the first time... Hate that song. Somebody please shoot me.
  9. I agree. The only reason i use the word hate is because i think its hard to understand the more accurate description that God just flat out cannot have sin near Him. I think thats more difficult for a person to wrap their brain around, plus it sort of makes it sound like God has a limitation. So, hate is the simplest term, though definitely not the most accurate.
  10. I think people forget, or maybe they cant comprehend, to look at sin and the sinner as two separate things. I keep hearing the argument (not just here but everywhere) that God must be evil since he lets people go to the H word. But God does not want that. His design was for us to have free will to do what we please. He doesn't hate anybody. He is not evil. He only hates the sin they commit. Its like they can't separate the two because if they did, it would be indicative of them being responsible for where they end up so it is easier to just say God hates them and they cant figure out why. @steelaccord, sorry i edited that after your bh.
  11. I pour them simultaneously. Boom. Just kiddin. Cereal first.
  12. I would like to do a whole range of things but first on the list would be to visit each of the mane 6. Just no getting around that. If there were any leftover time, I'd want to go see Cloudsale I think. Its one of the more interesting destinations for me.
  13. My gma passed away at 55. I know how way way way too early it is. Prayers and thoughts to his family and the Nintendo family.
  14. So annoying. And I try to do restarts about once a week. Ok, as long as I'm not the only one.
  15. Is Big Mac the first male alicorn the show has had?
  16. I really like how in its full form, it took the shape of Luna as it marched towards the tear in the dream world. I thought that was very visually stunning, and cleverly designed. That really made the impact of it being Luna's monster and only hers. Very observant of Twilight to catch that it responded to her guilt. I just really think this was a well thought out concept.
  17. @batbrony or i guess i should say @writing staff, omg buff, spike, angel, and bunny nightmares? Stop it, you're fueling my already re-erupting urge to binge BtVS again!
  18. Yes that's true, and willing knowledgable acceptance of that gift. I personally dont like when it gets a little vague about whether just "being a good person" is enough by default just because the way is open.
  19. No, you're not the only one. And this isnt the only show to that. Bufft the Vampire Slayer writers did that almost every episode. The entire hour was struggle, plan, struggle, search, struggle, fight, then in the last five minutes stake a vamp or do a magic spell. Definitely could have been a two parter. It was fast paced, but a small price to pay for a great story.
  20. Holy crap. Wow finally a proper episode. This is one I can get into big time. I love that there is a large addition to Luna's overall character depth and story line, and I like how they incorporated a way to communicate her struggle and redemption to all of ponyville at the same time, which took a contribution on her part as well as admitting she needed and must accept help at the same time. Brilliant. Twilight did her part without being self centered and condescending. Spike even had a neat little surprise in him tho its too bad it couldn't have been a hero opportunity for him or anypony else. Im not saying every episode has to be that threatening of a conflict. But this episode was pretty enthralling as a whole.
  21. So I read this and it was a good post but it appeared to leave out the critical part about Jesus crucifixion being the only way to gain salvation. I just think its important to point out the just loving others is not the way or "one of many" ways to the father. If i read it or comprehended it wrong, I apologize.
  22. I like many things about this post although I disagree with one huge facet. There are not "many" ways to the Lord. The ONLY way to the Father is to accept him as Lord and Savior and to truly believe that Jesus sacrifice of crucifixion is the ONLY way our sins can be paid for in order to be in gods presence. There is no other way. "No man cometh unto the father but by me." Just being a good person and loving everyone wont do it, though it is commanded of us to love others, it is not a way to the Father. The salvation part is critical.
