  1. I chose my username because earlier in 9'th grade, we did a reading of Romeo and Juliet, and I got to be Benvolio. Of course, I had to make his voice really scratchy and kind of scary sounding, but it worked out nonetheless. "BennyBoy" just became a nickname for the character that I liked playing as. Same as there was Tyblit the Tablet because someone couldn't pronounce Tybalt's name. That, and Juliet was never played by a girl. Not once. It was always Gabe who played as Juliet, and another boy in the other class. Also, a dude played Mrs. Capulet as well. 9'th grade English was fun.
  2. I only ever cried at one scene in animation. The others listed I was pretty close, but Riki's death (from GnG / Hopeanuoil) was the one where I cried for at least fifteen minutes. And this was about... three months after I saw it. I don't know, the subject came up and I was pretty much on my last nerves at the point. But anyway, I thought that it was one of the more emotional scenes that i've seen in animation. Other than that, pretty much the entire movie "When the Wind Blows."
  3. I never have them without. Maybe I should try mustard one of these days...something different. Like a hot-dog in a hamburger bun, or cheetoes in mayo. You never know until you try.
  4. Spiders, definitely. At one point, it was certain images from "Mistakes are Forever." Deformed ponies, really. Especially that weird Rarity without her eyelids or lashes. I guess it was just one of those things.
  5. I love sheep! I just like the way they look and sound. All that fluffy wool! And there are many kinds of sheep too... there's even a Katahdin sheep (I only just figured that out - I wonder how many farms we passed by on road trips had those kids of sheep.) Either way, I would love to own a flock of sheep someday! A small one, though, maybe some pigs and chickens. Ducks.
  6. Anything by Phil Collins! But out of those, I like "Sussudio" and "Invisible Touch" best. "Land of Confusion" is a good one, too. Also, "In the Air Tonight" and "Another day in Paradise."
  7. Normally I wear gender-neutral clothing. Greys, browns, a red tee-shirt. Always t-shirts and sweatpants, a sweatjacket over that. It makes me feel warm and protected. I like it. Jeans are so tight and cold. After they stop being cold, you can't feel them at all! So I stick to warm and soft things instead, but nothing with a pattern and nothing that will make me stand out. Just something that can wrap around me, and nothing revealing. I really don't understand why girls wear strange clothing. I've seen it all the time, and I keep wondering if they're cold... So if that counts, than I do it all the time, every day.
  8. Leftover angel hair spaghetti from a couple nights ago. (It's still good!)
  9. The most violent film i've ever watched, I think was The Silence of the Lambs. The other was Rottweiler, but that movie sucked so badly! The violence wasn't the bad part, it was how horrible directed it was. It didn't go in any directions, I didn't know what even the "rottweiler" was or what happened to it, why am I following this guy around, HOLYCRAPTHATLADYISSCARY, and all kinds of other confusing and downright boring scenes. Worst Spanish film ever 0/10 burn all copies and the poorly executed nudity scenes from my brain.
  10. Johnny Ray sounded sad on the radio.

  11. I use a laptop! Sometimes, if I have to, i'd use my kindle (2011 and still running great - not that good for typing, but browsing is okay, pictures load well.) I don't really have anything besides that other than that. Someday I hope that i'm going to be browsing on a Dell e773c monitor and Dimension 2400 tower, running with Windows XP...christIloveouroldcomputer... But of course, i'll keep the laptop too!
  12. In the case of schoolgirls - I suppose with some authors or creators, it's because they're not schoolgirls. If you're an older male writer (or even college age), I can see where you'd struggle to write school-age girls as either - 1 - You've graduated a while ago 2 - You aren't a girl and thus grew up not doing the same things or going through the same experiences that a Japanese schoolgirl would, the same as normal highschool boys don't sit in circles and whisper about who they like (I think) or worry about their hair or clothing. (I'm just going by the general idea of highschool, I don't mean to offend) Plus, girls have things that guys don't, including stereotypes, which are ever-present in most schools. (They were in mine -we were still a very accepting school, but we still fit into boys and girls personalities.) 3 - Making schoolchildren do accurate schoolchildren things isn't on the top of their list. In most "highschool" animes, from what I see, they don't make Haruto worry about getting his Physics homework done or follow Haruka's adventures in eating cafeteria food, going to band lessons and listening to Foreign Language lectures. Most times they go on daring journey's fight the bad guy and look awesome. I'm not saying that there can't be any well-rounded women - and maybe someday, there will be a balance between the boys and the girls where they both go about normal life, but in an entertaining and satisfying way (which I would totally watch). It's just not here yet. As for other anime, it might just be for the same reasons, plus, the audience seems okay with what they have now, but if someone does make a new manga with a well constructed female character, i'm sure they would buy it from interest as well as something new and entertaining, whether the characters are normal or have some sort of other-worldly power. Also, just as a note - big eyes are a staple of anime. Not all have it, but it's hugely popular for the girls (and some boys too) to have large and shiny eyes because that's how it's been for a long time. There are lots of exceptions, but i'm just naming the bulk.
  13. I am completely in love with music from the 80's! There's this playlist on youtube that I listen to a lot, and almost every song in there, barring one or two I love! It's about two hours long, but well worth the wait! Several I keep humming to myself - Come on Eileen, Tainted Love, 99 Red Balloons, Land of Confusion, Cruel Summer, I Ran, and plenty of others! But... I just checked - it's gone. Blocked by WMG and SME. Last thing I knew, there was a site with the list of songs in it, so It might still be possible to watch them in that order.
  14. I have an eleven year old Bichon named Chloe. We got her when I was young, and I grew up with the dog I begged for day in and day out. Now, I have a tank full of fish - three of them glowfish, two danio and one tetra. I named them after Phil Collins, Luke Skywalker, and Shikamaru (from Naruto). I used to have a red betta fish named Louise, but he died this morning of age. I plan to bury him this afternoon in an old tin, covered in a small pair of hospital socks and a fancy handkerchief. I believed that he deserves to have a nice parting gift, as all pets should, even small ones like he.
  15. Thank you for your support! I'm sure i'll get along great here!
  16. Persepolis, because of it's good light on the Iranians. True, the people were from a different era, but it's nice to have a movie, especially a cartoon movie, that doesn't mock or attack normal people living in Iran or Iraq (and half the time, she's in France). It managed to be both funny, dark, emotional and entertaining, especially with the whole, "Eye of the Tiger" scene and the documents of Marjane's travels (and what she learned).
  17. How did you find MLP Forums?: I decided that i'd try and have a side hobby. I decided that i'd rather spend my free time in a notably friendly forum rather than picking through questionable sites. So, whenever I decide I just want something to do when i'm bored or want to just relax, i'd come here. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I saw it a few years ago after a church yard sale. Me and my sister were hiding in the car, and I mentioned the show to her, saying that we'd watch it when we got home. Well, I didn't right away. But she did - and later, I watched the whole thing with her. That was years ago, when there was only season 1, and now i'm not into it as I was before, so i'm just trying to get back into the swing of things. I'm here because I just wanted something nice to do in my downtime aside from writing and drawing. I don't want to be traced back to my real self. I keep truthful, but I just don't hand out personal information unless it doesn't say anything that will immediately say, "me." (Which is why I don't have any social media accounts). I don't have any MLP stuff. I do, however, have a nice Schleich horse figurine. He's a clydesdale. I always thought they were admirable beasts, with their awesome size and strength! The slanted nose makes them look cute, and the feathering on the large hooves looks cool. I might not be online a lot of the times, because i'm busy doing other things. However, I will try to check in as much as I can, and be as active as I can. Not promising anything. I do happen to be a major procrastinator. But I hope I can re-integrate back into the fandom - without any obvious mistakes this time.
