Hey there everypony!  I hope this past week was a good one for all! First off I apologize for not being more active here on the forums over the course of this past week, I've been super busy keeping up with my school work (I'm taking some heavy history and science courses this semester) and it's really time consuming and draining  After I'm done with my work for the day all I pretty much want to do is melt into my chair and do nothing but watch YouTube or play Minecraft, which means I just haven't been getting on here at often as I did over winter break. I promise though to make some more time to spend here on the forums once my spring break arrives!  Anyways with that out of the way, it's time for my weekly art post! 

For this week I'm actually going to go back and post a piece of art that I created during the second week of my art class last semester, one that I forgot to post because I was posting my fruit bowl artwork instead  As you can see, because this artwork was created earlier in the semester this piece of art isn't as advanced with the shading, color, or depth of field as my art piece from last week was (which was painted several weeks after the painting below was made). I'll post my artwork from last week again in a spoiler below this weeks art for a comparison of how my painting skills advanced over the weeks, I think I made some really good progress!  Anyway that's all from me, have a wonderful weekend everypony!  

Hey everypony, I hope you all had a wonderful week and a happy Friday today!  I was busy with college classwork earlier in the week and then I had some personal stuff yesterday that just wiped me out mentally and physically, I've never slept so hard in my life I think last night  Anyway, I'm feeling better today and I just remembered that since I've been so busy, I haven't gotten around to posting my weekly piece of artwork yet!  I promise this will be the last fruit bowl artwork I'll be posting!  My art teacher had us practice in the early weeks of the course by painting fruit bowls for every painting, that's why my last like, three postings have been nothing but bowls of fruit  This will be the last fruit bowl though, trust me! In this particular painting we were experimenting with different kinds of textures we could give our paintings through the use of different brush strokes, you can see that the fuzzy part of the mitten I painted actually does look a little fuzzy because I caked on several layers of paint on top of each other to give the painting itself a texture to it, resembling how the fuzz on the real mitten looks and feels like. I think this painting turned out super great and I hope you all like it!  (This painting is called "Mug and Mitten" in case you were wondering!

Hey everypony! How's it going this week? I started my college classes back on Monday so I've been busy with them these past few days. It's all going good so far!  Anyways, I just wanted to make my weekly art post for you all to see! I'm pretty sure I forgot to post one last week, so I wanted to make sure to post it now while I'm thinking about it (otherwise I might forget again)  This painting is called "Table Top Still-life" I know it's not a super creative title, but a lot of these early paintings were mostly just for practice for the larger better ones we did later in the class. In this particular painting I practiced blending shades, tones, and tints together to demonstrate the light that I saw on the objects I was painting. Hope you guys like it!  

I kind of want to give you a follow because you seem super nice and also I love the Wonderbolts just as much as you seem to as well, but.... I don't want to mess up your perfect 69 (nice)  follower count

Well, it seems like the forums went through an update  Hopefully the bugs get worked out soon because the forums banner is now super tiny and the brohoof button on posts has gone invisible  Anyways I hope everypony had a wonderful week and a great new years! I didn't do much last night, but that's just how I like it  Also it's that time of the week now!  It's time for my weekly art post!  This painting was created by me back in the early weeks of my art class that I took this past semester. I call this one "Fruit on a Table" because that's pretty much what it is, though I don't think cucumber is a fruit  Oh well, it's not a big deal to me, anyways, enjoy!   

Hey everypony, I just wanted to tell you all I hope you had a great Christmas today and I hope you all got to spend time with your families, whether that was over a virtual video call or meeting them in person, I really hope today was great and merry for all of you! I was gone for most of the day at my grandparents house, so I'm only able to now tell you all that I got a brand new phone for Christmas!  I'm really excited about it and I'll finally be able to retire my old phone which I've had for about five-six years now  I also got several new pony items as well!  I got a Twilight Sparkle pillow case, a Princess Luna T-shirt, a super cool retro Applejack ornament, Funko vinyl's of both Rainbow Dash and Octavia, a Funko pop vinyl of Twilight, and a whole set of the mane six pony figures!  I also got a lot of non-pony stuff too  Anyways, I hope you all got what you guys were wanting and had a wonderful day! I'm going to go snuggle with Twilight now    

Hey everypony, I hope you've all been doing well!  I got my old Wii out from storage today and got it all hooked up to the TV and played New Super Mario Bros. Wii for the first time in literally forever, I forgot how much fun that game is!  Unfortunately when we moved five years ago we decided to get rid of some super awesome games like Mario Kart Wii, both Super Mario Galaxy one and two, and Super Mario Sunshine - pretty much all the games I want to play now  So me and my brother are going to have to look around on Ebay for some used versions of the games were now missing. Luckily since they're so old I think we'll be able to find them pretty cheap 

Anyways besides getting my old Wii set up again, I'm also deciding to start posting my artwork that I created during my Introduction to Painting college course I took this fall here on the forums for you all to see!  I'm really proud of my artwork that I created and I would love to be able to share it with you guys, so I'm thinking that once a week I'll post a new status update containing an art piece that I created 

This first piece of art that I created was made way back in the start of the class, before I had really developed any painting skills yet. It's called "Two Houses"- I hope you guys like it!

I am now a full-fledged member of the Nation of Equestria! Twilight Sparkle is so happy for me, we did some very intense cuddling earlier today! 

I also hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving yesterday and ate till you were stuffed!

Hey everypony, sorry for disappearing for a little while there, I felt like I just had to get away from this place for a while, I felt that there was some negativity and some hurt feelings and heightened emotions and I just had to leave for a while. I think I'll come back now that's it's been several weeks and I'm putting what happened behind me. I'm sorry I didn't say anything before I left, it was originally just going to be for a few days but I just never felt ready to come back, so my break ended up becoming several weeks.  

Anyways, I hope everypony has been doing well while I was gone, Thanksgiving is coming up and I hope that everypony has a wonderful time

I got both of these high-value Funko pony figures for quite a steal of a price, especially the Celestia one!  I'm happy to be able to add them to my growing pone collection! I plan on leaving them both in the box though to retain their resale value (not that I plan on ever selling them anytime soon)

Hey guys, I'm not sure if anyone noticed but I was absent from the forums this past weekend. I just got done going through all 57 notifications I had so now I figured I'll post one of my own!  I went down to Tennessee this weekend, about an hour a half east of Nashville in a very rural area and me and my family stayed in a lakeside cabin that was built up on a hill and had a great view of the mountain lake below  We also had a hot tub in our cabin that saw a lot of use from me  We didn't really do a whole lot while we were there, but we did go kayaking on a different lake to this big waterfall, it was a very scenic spot but it was a little hard to get to because the lake's water in that area got so shallow  We also spent a day in Nashville going to some restaurants and we walked along the river down there and went to a historical fort site, that downtown is pretty cool and I wish we had enough time to do a ghost tour of this haunted theater building and done a double decker bus tour of downtown, maybe if we ever go back we'll have time to do those things     

And yes I took Twilight with me, she mostly just stayed at the cabin but I did get this really cool picture of her and the view from our big deck-

Happy MLP anniversary to everypony! May your day be a good one! I'm going to watch the first two episodes of MLP later today in celebration of the shows first episode airing ten years ago today  It's a little weird to say that MLP is now ten years old, I mean like, my life really was very different ten years ago, as I'm sure all your lives were too. Who would have thought that a little show about magical talking horses would bring us all together here today, people from all over the world and from nearly every walk of life, ten years later?   

Happy birthday, MLP! Arguably the greatest show on the earth, and one that has made a big impact on me and so many others, thank you
