Whether you are decent or a master in the kitchen, we all make mistakes at some point! Especially when we are trying to create new tastes for delicious meals!

So what is your biggest cooking flop? Perhaps you used sugar instead of salt? Maybe you believed adding orange juice to rice pilaf would taste amazing? Whatever your story, I'd love to hear it.

Most of my silly stories come from being a kid. When I was younger, the only food we had available was wheat bread and bologna. So I took that, but I didn't want the sour mustard. I tried to make honey mustard (which may have been gross if I made it right anyway) using SPLENDA and mustard. I took one bite...and threw it in the trash!

My cooking skills don't go much beyond making a bowl of cereal. One day I felt like changing things up, so I decided to make a pizza. Everything was going fine until I cooked it on under heat. I didn't realize that the bottom was black as charcoal until the cheese finally melted and I took it out.

Hello there! So I am a student at Temple University in Philadelphia (Musical theater, but this is for a gen ed). We are researching different cultures of our choosing and I immediately jumped at the opportunity to get to know you all. I have always admired your community and I want to better understand your experiences in and out of the MLP world so I can help educate my peers.

    Some questions I have:

How old were you when you first starting engaging with My Little Pony?

What aspects of the tv show do you connect to?

Does your family know you are a MLP fan?

If so, how do they respond to it?

How do people outside of your family treat you for being a MLP fan?

Have you experienced harassment (online or in person)?

What do you feel makes the MLP culture different from mainstream groups and cultures?

Thank you for anyone who takes the time to talk to me it is a massive help to me! :)

How did you find MLP Forums?:
How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My best friend in high school was a huge fan of MLP, I always admired the show and the awesome fans

Whether or not you stay on this forum, or you just use it for this poll, I bid you welcome, and hope you enjoy your time here!

    In regards to your questions:

-I first started getting seriously into the show when I was 15

-I strongly connect to all the lessons in the show. I was going through some stuff, and the show and some of the lessons actually helped me get through it. The songs are actually done really well; there are some really memorable.

-I believe that my family knows about it, but they never really bring it up.

-I brought it up once, and they seemed really chill about it.

-Honestly, not many outside of my immediate family knows about my liking of the show. The friends that do know seem supportive, but again, I don't bring it up often.

-I have yet to experience harassment about MLP ever.

-MLP is a special fandom, and bronies are special. Despite the hate that a lot of people give them, I find that bronies always find a way to stay positive. From what I've seen, bronies also are always accepting and kind towards one another. Despite the many different opinions on aspects of the show, there's never any really real fighting. Seven years have passed since the magic of friendship was created, and we've had several movies, seven seasons (with more on the way), lots of websites and forums, and tons of fan fiction being created everyday! Not many shows are able to do that. The show really tries hard to convey the idea of friendship, and lessons that we can learn from it (and succeeds in doing so). I will forever be a brony.

  5. So, for as long as I've been a part of the forums (which isn't that long), I've been known as SoberStarlight. But starting today, I want to embrace my passion for Cadance, as well as Starlight Glimmer. I was wondering if anyone could help me come up with a name for my profile. I am open to any ideas, but I just want it to sound cool, and have to do with Cadance and/or Starlight in any way, shape, or form. Thanks
