S07:E01+02 - Celestial Advice/All Bottled Up
qwerE replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 7 Discussion
Celestial advice: I liked it, although it wasn't something special and epic like the previous season premieres. Watching how Celestia cared for Twilight in the past was really touching. The fact that Celestia also has moments when she feels worried was interesting, and made her feel more like a relatable character. All bottled up: I actually liked the lesson a lot, but the story was incredibly boring. Trixie was so annoying and made me angry as well as Starlight. I know that she's supposed to be annoying, but her way of annoying Starlight wasn't entertaining at all. Discord is annoying to other characters but can be fun for viewers to watch, and I think he would have been a much better alternative to Starlight in this episode. The flaws of the story aside, I think the moral in this episode is something that can be relevant for everyone, even adults. I'm glad there is an episode about anger and talking about it to your friends: it's a very important part of friendship. If you don't like something about your friends, you should tell them so they can fix it. Confronting your friend about those things is hard, but it's a inevitable step in keeping your friendship. -
I gave it a try... Use it if you want!

S06:E25+E26 - To Where and Back Again
qwerE replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 6 Discussion
A really nice finale featuring secondary characters! Considering how Starlight has been playing a huge role in all of the recent 2-parters, it seems like the writers are really pushing Starlight as a major character. After her first appearance in season 5, she has been the core part of the story in all the 2-parters. At this point, I think she might be a more influential character than some members of the mane 6. I liked the story, especially the ending. I found the begging a bit boring, though. Watching Trixie and Discord have meaningless quarrels felt like a waste of time. I wanted to see the mane 6 do something this episode, so I would've preferred a scene about that instead. Hooray for the new leader of the changelings, Thorax! I wonder how they'll change as a species. +By the way, why didn't crysalis use the anti-magic stone back in season 3? -
I didn't like this episode. Sure, the two new ponies had great chemistry, and were really cute. However, I didn't like the overall story. Sky's flying abilities improved so easily and it didn't make sense at all. Wasn't the Wondervolts a group that was extremely hard to get into? Sky just practiced for a day and got in, easy as pie. I know everything can't be realistic in a show- it's fiction, after all. But in this story, it actually hurts the moral. Somepony who was arrogant about his skills and didn't practice gets into Wondervolts, just because he practices hard for a day. He wasn't supposed to be talented, either. I think it would've been better if Sky did improve, but not enough to get into Wondervolts. After that, the episode can show him actually practicing hard to achieve his dreams... which is what you really need in order to reach your goals.

454746 Looks like I'm a bit late, but I'm doing fine, thanks! As for mlp, I've almost finished watching season 6. I can't wait to watch the season finale! On the other hand, I have a test on Thursday. Looks like I'll have to study for that after watching the finale.

This episode was quite funny. Seeing Applejack's lies get out of her hands was interesting, and I liked learning more about Applejack's past. I didn't like how she looked when she was a child, though. It's not that she looks ugly, she just looks the same as her current form and not like a child. Unlike Applebloom who's properly designed as a filly, Applejack was just the same pony with weirdly thin legs. That was exatly how Fluttershy looked as well, and it just doesn't look right. I hoped to see some new design, and was disappointed. The story itself was great, though!

Hi! If you've been watching since 2013, I guess you'll know a lot more than I do since I just started watching this year! Anyway, welcome to the herd!

S06:E21 - Every Little Thing She Does

I didn't like this episode. I would rate it as one of the worst, but I get that there are lots of people who liked it too. I don't hate Starlight, but she was too evil in this episode. How could she not think of canceling her spell even after things went wrong? If she didn't have the ability to undo the spell, did she cast a permanent spell that she cannot even cancel on her friends? However, I won't hate Starlight for it because I consider this episode to be breaking Starlight's character. I don't think she would actually do the things she did in this episode. She is actually one of my favourite characters, and I liked her episodes with Sunburst and Trixie. I'm not saying that I only like the good side of hers, it's just that Starlight here didn't feel like the Starlight I knew from previous episodes. Of course, it is possible that she was actually like this and the show was showing her real self. I still wouldn't consider this a good episode even if that were the case, because it just made me feel so terrible viewing it. This show is a story of fiction, made to entertain the viewers. I felt so bad for the characters, and was so upset at Starlight that I couldn't enjoy the episode. I think I wouldn't have felt as bad if there were moments Starlight showed any sign of remorse while using her friends, but there was none at all. -

S06:E19 - The Fault In Our Cutie Marks
qwerE replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 6 Discussion
This just became one of my favourite episodes! I loved Gabby's optimistic character, and passion for helping others, although she was a bit annoying at times. I also loved watching CMC try their best to help Gabby. This episode tells that you can find your purpose even without a cutie mark, and even gives Gabby an alternative to a cutie mark. The CMC letting Gabby become their member was unexpected, but it made sense and I loved that as well. I hope we get to see how Gilda and Gabby change the lives of Griffons later on! -
This episode was quite interesting. I liked the fact that Rainbow Dash grew to accept that Fluttershy may be better than her in some sports. Watching the sport itself was also entertaining, with all the action going on. However, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy felt out of chatacter a bit. There were some moments when their actions for some reason didn't feel natural.

I've never played DnD before and isn't that into fantasy stuff, but found this episode really fun to watch. I liked seeing Discord improve as a character, as well as watching him make new friends. This episode actually made me want to try out DnD, but I'm not sure if my friends would be interested...

S06:E16 - The Times They Are A Changeling
qwerE replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 6 Discussion
I love this episode! Everypony, even changelings should get a chance, and this episode delivered that message well. I also liked the fact that Spike got a song in this episode. I don't think Spike sung before, and it was interesting to hear. His pitch was a bit high, but his voice was great and I still liked the song a lot. -
I think Sunset Shimmer as a human would be the best. I never considered her as my favourite character, but she just feels like the niceset character in the show. Everypony or everybody has their own flaws and sometimes causes trouble because of it, but I don't think Sunset has ever done a bad thing since she was reformed.

I'm quite surprised that many people found this episode unenjoyable. I liked the episode, and even considered it one of the funniest episodes. I thought pranking Rainbow Dash back to teach her lesson was clever and entertaining to watch. Rainbow Dash's pranks at the beginning weren't that funny, but that was okay since the moral is that you shouldn't pull pranks on anyone. It looks like a lot of people felt that RD was treated unfairly. Others seem to not have liked seeing RD being a jerk. While I kind of agree with both opinions, I still found the last part entertaining. I guess everyone has their own tastes.

I used to draw for fun, but for the past year or so I didn't because I couldn't find anything interesting to draw. However, after recently finding out MLP:FiM and watching other people's OCs, I got my interest in drawing again. It just looked like so much fun! I don't consider this OC to be a representation of myself. I just drew what felt interesting to me. Character description Name: Whirlwind Ability: Corrupts files in your PC

S06:E13 - Stranger Than Fan Fiction
qwerE replied to Ashen Pathfinder's topic in Season 6 Discussion
This episode was hillarious! I loved the new kind of humor here. Quibble was really annoying at first, and later on as well, but he made the whole episode so fun. The fact that he could actually be really useful made him feel less annoying, and funny at the same time. This was definitely one of the funniest episodes for me. -
