@Splashee Steven Universe for is barely C-Tier for me.
-
@Woohoo Completely understandable. Steven Universe's creator was obviously trying to get her message out there on Cartoon Network of all places, making is rather feel forced.
But then I walked by a house randomly one winter, seeing Cartoon Network playing Steven Universe in there, and thought, if it reaches that many young people, sure it might have some kind of impact on the world, one way or another.
The show has its moments.

In my honest opinion, if MLP:FIM ended at Season 4, it would've been an S-Tier cartoon in my eyes.
Unfortunately, it continued on too long. Now I view it as a D-Tier cartoon.
Personally the first half(S1-5 minus the S5 finale) and the second half(S6-9+S5 finale) of the show might as well be two completely different shows

As soon as they started using Calculus, it was out of my league...
I find it weird that it is possible to do these things with our current technology. Question is, when should I start doing AI myself?
Because I am good at programming, but I am not good at math, and Calculus is too difficult, BUT there are still value in making things "simple", I don't have the answer yet...

@LCpony417, @Rainboomer Zap and @DPBOX
The MLP Forums Pony Dev Jam has been completed. I never decided on how to choose a winner. Any suggestions how to figure out a winner?
If you all got to decide for yourself, by reviewing each entry, we could add up the entry who seemed to be the most liked?
The theme is "Glitched Pony Game". Finding glitches is not something you can easily do. I would suggest that you all describe the actual glitch in your entry and how to obtain it, unless it is very obvious.The glitch in my entry happens when you move Tetris pieces towards the left hand side wall (while the piece is slowly going down). There is also glitches in the ghosts of Pac-Man where they get stuck in walls, but I don't know exactly when it happens. I think it happens when they go frighten mode and turn direction.

The Chaos World after the Discord statue in my game is an illusory glitch world created by Discord as he's about to wake up in the beginning of Season 2. My whole game is a dream Luna created of her past memories in order to make herself stronger and there will be 2 more levels. Her Tantabus Mk 2, based on this fan fic, https://www.fimfiction.net/story/316104/tantabus-mk-ii hasn't quite been perfected yet and doesn't animate and glitches out when you pause as a result. That's a real glitch, though.

It is complicated. I wonder if I will find the solution to this annoying bug once the competition is over? The code for this game is quite small, and while it is easy to understand, it is the time based nature that makes it difficult (it is the challenge I wanted to go for). Basically, ghosts and player walk the distance of delta time instead of a fixed step, so obviously, collision detection/response will be a horror to do right.
Ah yeah, it makes things a bit more tricky, but it shouldn't be too hard to prevent them from getting stuck in a wall, given they can only move in 4 directions at constant speed. At worst, perhaps you could put a simple check to see if they constantly collide with a wall or if their position changes - if it wouldn't be changing with time, it would mean they're stuck, so you could center them back or something in these scenarios. Well either way, imo them getting stuck is a convenient feature, because there's nothing to complain on when they get stuck and stop bothering you lmao. Plus, it's the "glitchy" part for the theme, so don't fix it, tell everyone it was made on purpose.
QuoteKeyboard is not supported because touch screen and smart phones are priority for the future. I am trying to best ways to get both desktop and mobile users happy. I feel a little bit like Windows 8.1 here.
But I had a hard time even on mobile. Also lack of physical controls automatically makes desktop users unhappy, I soooo dislike virtual controls, because they're extremely unreliable. ;-;
I'd still prefer to have gamepad for mobile games.
QuoteYou should see my next game I am working on. It is going to be incredibly buggy if I start running out of time.
Ponesweeper? Ponitaire? Space Pony Pinball?
edit: nvm I saw; lol didn't expect that one

I'm getting to a point where I can probably start writing the games for this thing. Try it out here:
