Pretty much thats the major problem with the original idea there, Luna already suffered enough. She doesn't deserve with what the leaked idea had in store for her. She at least deserve to experience life even more and maybe strengening her bond with Celestia and recover more from the tragedies that happened. The show making her retiring it still iffy to me since she didn't rule for much long since she got back, they could have at least make it into a conflict of Luna being torn between ruling for a 1000 more years to make up for lost time or give all that up to be with Celestia(who would be touched that Luna would decide to choose to give up ruling just for her, leading to a tearful moment) I feel like they needed more than that flashback, in fact I think the NMM personalty was already influencing her during that which lead to her snapping. Iirc I think I read somewhere that Faust mentioning that NMM is the result of Luna's jealously/negative emotions all bottled up. And even I think Jim mentioning that NMM is less of a symbiote(Nightmare Forces) but more of a split personality or something. Not sure where that twitter post is though. Basically the darkness within her heart became a split personality due to Luna kept it all underwraps. In fact I wished they touched more on NMM in general and the potential with Luna's darker self. No, not how the comics went "oh, she got possessed by some outside entity due to her negative emotions".(I liked the Nightmare Rarity arc but that bit there is whats messing it up for me. At least say the Nightmare Forces were spawned from Luna one way or another. One change there and I would have love that arc to death)

Apparently someone found a leak showing a original draft of what season 9 was going to be about. Or specifically its some small outline of what was going to happen. Not sure if its true or not. But if it is, then what was the original plan going to be would have bothered me more on how it would have happen with the royal sisters.

Honestly he shouldn't have been allowed to decide the trio's fates like that. Before someone saying the royal sisters would have killed them, I am pretty sure they wouldn't do that. Since I am pretty sure Celestia's nature(and by proxy Luna) would not allow her to horribly kill someone like that(or otherwise she would have destroyed Discord's statue to end his threat for good or killed Tirek instead of sending him to Tarturus. Unless its stated that Discord is too powerful to be killed by breaking his statue to bits, then I am assuming Celestia can't bring herself to kill him like that when he was like that). They would have most likely just beat the trio up and send them to Tarturus. Discord should go through what Sunset did in Rainbow Rocks, dealing with the ponies angry at him and not trusting him. I can definitely see at least the Crystal Ponies wanting him dead due to him bringing back the very monster that practically scarred them for life(and they are most likely now no longer feel safe with the fear of Sombra might come back AGAIN even though he was supposed to be gone for good). Heck, I can see Cadance and Shining Armor FURIOUS at him because of this. And he has to work to gain that trust again(at first he tries to not care but the fact they might start blaming him for everything now if something pops up would surely make him bothered by this).

spoiler Is anybody else tired of the whole "villains reforming" concept?

I am hoping the season 10 comics touch on how badly he screwed up with this plan. The consequences such as everyone's trust with him got damaged big time. If I were one of the characters that is friends with him, I can't help but have the doubt of "How do I know he won't pull something behind out backs again?" echoing deep within my mind.

Speaking of connection, I wished they touched more on the Royal Sisters' connection to the Elements that they had lost. Like explain more about it and the consequences. Like would Luna felt guilty and blames herself for this bit. Maybe even an episode where the tree gives them a chance to restore this connection or gain a harmony-related power. It bothers me that since they lost their ability to use the Elements, that is it for the sisters. They get NOTHING. Nothing to acknowledge their significance of finding the Elements first and their cutie marks being on the tree. It apparently means nothing since they are no longer allowed to use the Elements. Not even get to be included in the final rainbow laser. As for Cozy Glow, the question for her Cutie Mark raises be how did she get it. Like does it means she is manipulative? Like she is "destined" to be like that?

Honestly I am not sure if Silver Shoals really is a retirement home or not since I think in that Point of No Return episode, Twilight and Spike went there to try to find Dusty Pages but couldn't. The pony they asked couldn't remember the name of the place she went to but he remembers it was called "Silver", which led the two to check Silver Shoals but couldn't find her. If it was a retirement home then she would be there but she wasn't. (Then again my memory is fuzzy so forgive me if I got something wrong here) I got this from the wikia and I think it also said Silver Shoals appeared in that boat episode from one of the recent seasons. Honestly I kind of wished the royal sisters don't coup up in some retirement home(doesn't matter if there is fun activities there, it doesn't feel right for me of seeing majestic alicorns going from princesses too.. just living in a place full of old ponies.)

Write your own Season 10 synopsis leak!

I got a couple of more I think. Overshadowed: Due to the Pillars not consulting him for strategies or help before facing off against Tirek and ultimately getting left out in the final battle, Stygian is left bitter towards them. But a unexpected but familiar voice from within speaks to him. All Tarturus Breaks Loose: A mysterious attack on Tarturus has caused its prisoners to break free to wreck havoc on Equestria, now the heroes and Royal Sisters must round up the dangerous creatures while facing off against the attacker who has unleashed this chaos. -

I wished they explained Spike's origins for real instead of trolling us. At least explain how did his egg ended up with Celestia's school since eggs of sapient beings don't just pop up from thin air and into the possession of ponies like that. And I wished they explained more on the alicorns. Like where did Luna and Celestia came from, why are there only 5 actual Alicorns(2 of them being originally regular ponies). Are there anymore alicorns out there? Stuff like that.

How do you like adult Spike's design?

Kind of wonder down in the line if he's able to transform into a different form in someway. Like switching from "humanoid" dragon to "big" dragon form like what we saw in Secret Of Our Excess(minus the going out of control part). I am not sure how to feel on his form here, guess I am fine with it though the chin is.. iffy(at least the chin is not bad as how he envisioned his handsome form during the Diamond Dog episode and the Tantabus episode) -
That whole bit there is one big thing that bothered me about his plan. Or at least the impression I am getting. Such as what would have happen to the trio if Discord's plan went off without a hitch? That thought there bothers me. Really.. I am disappointed on Chrysalis's fate. And the fact its ultimately Discord's fault of what happened to her just.. ugh. Before someone says "But she rejected the chance to reform in Frienemies, she choose this path and must pay". I am pretty sure she is in a pretty bad mental state at the time to make rational decisions(and sounds like its going to take more than the Frienemies scenario to help her). And also its still Discord's fault regardless, if he didn't pull this plan then Chrysalis would still be alone and most likely be a nuisance than an actual threat with the state she was in, along with she wouldn't have gone off the deep end further and ultimately ended up statued. I guess since I am just fond of Chrysalis and didn't like the fact she's a statue there(and how no matter what, Discord is responsible for that). I don't care about Tirek nor Cozy Glow(though I do acknowledge the controversy with her. Honestly the writers did not think things through when they came up with Cozy Glow due to how split some of the fans in the fandom had been due to issues with her) but I did care about Chrysalis alot. If the writers wanted to leave the trio's fates up to the fans, don't freaking turn them to stone. There are better ways on having their fates be left up to the fans than the statue bit. Chrysalis is a great villain but I rather see her reform(at least try to make the reforming good) than her suffering a horrible fate like being turned to stone(especially if the iffy plan of a certain chaos spirit is ultimately responsible for..)

Honestly a easy fix for Discord so he won't break the story into two with his reality-warping powers is introduce weaknesses too it so he could still use them but won't break the story. Like say due to how "unstable" his chaos magic is, being in the presence of powerful dark magic(especially too long) ends up causing his powers to be "uncooperative". As in messing up on him so he at least won't fix everything with a literal snap of his fingers and render the villain's threat artificial. That way he could still do some stuff with his magic but is prevented from breaking the story into two with a literal snap of his fingers.

My Favorite Theory About Grogar
nightshroud96 replied to Flash-Magnus's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I think someone mentioned about Luna saying "magic don't just disappear" or something in the season 4 finale. Implying magic can't truly be eliminated, be it good magic or dark magic. Perhaps Grogar's magic went back to him upon the trio losing it or said magic is still within the trio(although weakened at the moment) and then the bell just moves on its own to get the magic back. Ending up freeing the trio from stone while seeking out its master and if he happens to be dead, perhaps giving his magic back to his remains ends up reviving him. I mean, I heard his G1 counterpart was a necromancer so I bet at least his magic can bring him back to life if it returns to him. -

I kind of got another one on what happened so far in the bunch of episodes I thought up. The Two Faces of Chrysalis: While Chrysalis is still hospitalized and comatose, Luna decides to enter her mind to see what is happening within her. What she will find within Chrysalis's mind would reveal something shocking about the former changeling queen in a form of conflict. -
I feel the same about the royal sisters in the finale too. Especially Luna.. Was disappointed how she(and Celestia) didn't properly battle at all but just lose their magic and only just distract the trio(and that moment got overshadowed by Starlight vs Chrysalis thing). It really stung with Luna's case there for me.. Back to Discord, they could have introduced some weaknesses to his magic without outright nullifying/stealing it so he can still do something but can't freaking break the story in two with a literal snap of his fingers.(My main issue with reality-warping characters pretty much..)

Pretty much a problem I have with Discord. Due to how "op" his Chaos magic is, it can render the threats of any villain artificial(one issue I had with the season 9 premiere is how he made a fool out of Sombra there). They need to introduce ways of how his magic can be BEATEN without outright getting cancelled out by stuff like Chrysalis's throne(or at least execute the nullifying part right) or getting stolen via some magic stealing thing(if you catch him off guard). And as in without the Elements of Harmony/magic of friendship to beat his powers.. Its getting pretty tiring seeing people saying Discord can easily fix everything and screw the villain over by literally snapping his fingers and how "OP" he is.
