  1. Unless a villain knows the right words to say to keep pushing Celestia there. Since we didn't know Luna was essentially inflicting self-harm(mentally) with the Tantabus till season 5, who knows what issues might be going on within Celestia. She might be really good at keeping issues of hers underwraps to keep up the whole regal look. In fact she and Luna might be too good at keeping stuff underwraps at times(which led to NMM happen with Luna bottling up her negative emotions according to one of the writers). (To actual post on here) I can see Daybreaker happening from multiple factors. Like with how Nightmare Moon was born of Luna's negative emotions, Daybreaker might happen due to the stress and guilt Celestia had to deal with for a 1000 years of ruling alone and what happened with Luna. Probably anger inside too of her being mad at herself for the NMM mess, mad at Luna for said mess and mad at the citizens for taking Luna for granted(which factored into her fall to darkness as NMM) and probably many stuff the ponies had done. And probably with all of this and how she wouldn't use that possibly destructive inner power she has for so long, it might cause said power to gain a will of its own to MAKE Celestia let loose and use that power. Along with how often Celestia had to keep up with that regal façade, Daybreaker might also represent Celestia wanting to run wild and not be hindered by others' expectations(like the citizens going "Princesses aren't supposed to do this/that/etc."). I can see some bad guy just pushing Celestia's buttons and making her crack with whats going on internally. Just to make her snap.
  2. They're freaking sapient though. As in still think and talk like other beings such as ponies/donkeys/diamond dogs/changelings(all of the mentioned getting to be humans). As in the level of those, not the lower level that is wild animals/creatures.
  3. Spike's identity of being a number 1 assistant doesn't mean he has to be demoted to a dog like that. In fact him being stuck as a dog would greatly hinder his ability to "assist" Twilight. Yes, there's some things a dog "can" do but that is ultimately outweighed by the things Spike loses out on due to being stuck as a dog. And the fact still remains he's ultimately Twilight's sibling, not a pet. Having him be a dog is essentially saying he's ultimately a pet to Twilight not a being of equal standing with her. And the fact Spike is clearly sapient, the fact the HW labels him as meant to be a non-sapient pet is just demeaning.
  4. For me, I think my most fav shipping is Spike x Princess Luna(throw in Nightmare Moon for a 2-in-1 deal there). How they interact just seems so interesting. Like clicking so good. And how both have a bit in common with both are siblings often ending up in the shadows of their older siblings, often getting left out, both succumbed to jealousy at one point Transforming into something terrifying and such. And how both are "out of place" in a way(Luna in a temporal sense with the 1000 years being lost and Spike with he's a dragon among ponies).
  5. I wished they touched more on Luna and Celestia in general. *cough*especiallylunaforme*cough*
  6. And the whole Flurry Heart bit didn't disapprove that theory due to they were talking about no new baby Alicorns were born after Equestria was formed(till now). The fact Luna and Celestia couldn't understand was going on is probably due to the scenario of the parents are not both alicorns. That and maybe they didn't get to know everything about their own kind before something happened to their parents/the rest of the alicorns from their past.
  7. I heard Faust wanted Luna to appear in season 1 and explore her but Hasbro didn't allow that due to she was a "villain". She even wanted to touch on resolving Luna's bitterness about being in Celestia's shadow and the banishment stuff. Like how to get out of Celestia's shadow truly. And touching on the themes of darkness with Luna. But sadly Hasbro didn't let that pass. The whole retirement bit for Luna just bothered me so much. She didn't rule anywhere near as long as Celestia did and she's still in Celestia's shadow in a way. About the submissive part, I am starting to think the Elements did something to Luna aside from "purifying" her. Big time Being able to interact a bit more with the subjects isn't the same as directly helping against some threat attacking Equestria sadly. It hurts more for Luna since how she "failed" Equestria big time by succumbing to her darkness and left Equestria hanging for a 1000 years. With making Celestia handle the burden of protecting Equestria alone. Her not being able to truly start making up for that is just.. making the scars she has ache worse.
  8. Doesn't help that Diamond DOGS are humans there too. I like EQG but Spike not getting to be human is one of my huge gripes with it.
  9. Honestly Spitfire does enrage me at times. Such as when she yelled at Scootaloo in the Washouts episode. I want to smack her and go "Congratulations, you just turned her further away from the Wonderbolts and factored in what got her to join the Washouts and end up putting herself into serious danger". Other than that, I am just meh about Spitfire.
  10. Sadly this issue already happened with EQG where Spike isn't allowed to be human because of how apparently dragons(despite being freaking sapient as other creatures like ponies) are dogs(that are freaking non-sapient for the human world counterparts' case) instead of humans in the human world.
  11. Honestly I hated how the writers handle the Royal Sisters for the sake of Twilight there.
  12. And it hurts worse for Luna's case since she doesn't have what Celestia falls back on. Making her look worse than Celestia in comparison. Since Luna's return from the moon, she never got to properly and directly succeed in protecting Equestria from a villain not even once. Either she gets sidelined or gets taken out and/or forced to rely on the girls to save the day. (No, the Tantabus doesn't really count if it somehow does for some people. It was a problem sadly she caused) And then there's the.. not-so-good sendoff she and Celestia had gotten as rulers due to what happened in the finale.
  13. How would it go for the Royal Sisters during the final battle or is it just the sisters would be just statues until after the whole thing blows over? Still hurting on how the writers shafted Luna like that..
  14. I wanted to enjoy the movie but how the Royal Sisters got shafted like that really hindered it. It stung so badly seeing it happen to Luna in her case there.. The movie is a once-in-a-lifetime thing but the writers just shaft her badly instead, hence why it hurts so much.
  15. A shame they didn't touch more on the lore about alicorns though.
  16. Its a waste that EQG doesn't try to make it up to Spike for making him a dog there..
  17. And if Human-world Twilight couldn't have a owl, she could just have a plushie of it like how human Pinkie Pie had a plushie of Gummy. Apparently why Spike is stuck as a dog for the sake of the whole "talking animal mascot" that magical girl shows had. That's.. just stupid. EQG can do without the "talking animal mascot" bit.
  18. It actually said he can tank the friendship rainbow lasers of doom? Guess that explains why his bell survived a triple one and worked perfectly fine afterwards.
  19. Kind of a shame that aside from Tirek and Cozy Glow, the only other "prisoners" we see there is just other non-speaking creatures. Making Tarturus look more like just a edgy zoo/animal-control place rather than a actual terrifying prison for evil beings.
  20. Pretty sure he would end up messing up many dreams of ponies there due to his magic. And with what he pulled, there's going to be major trust issues. No way Luna would let him anywhere near those dreams.
  21. Yeah, if he could make something that can literally survive a TRIPLE rainbow laser and still worked fine, that is some power. In fact I bet his dark magic still exists within the trio, just weakened. Probably even going to regenerate soon and end up breaking them out of the statue.
  22. I didn't know that the castle was actually built long before the Pillars planted the tree. Felt like it make more sense for the sisters to built the castle after the tree was planted. Kind of wonder what would Grogar had done about Nightmare Moon and such if he returned for real?
  23. Apparently they are fine with the pony-up bit but not the whole "talking dog" from the looks of it. He doesn't seem like going around talking to other humans regularly aside from the girls, the only other human he(specifically dragon Spike) talked to from what I remember was DJ-PON3 and that was due to a crisis pretty much.| He can't interact other characters properly if he can't talk to them. Like really restricting interaction there. Pretty sure the writers actually confirmed that Spike is part of the main cast there. Problem is in EQG he's basically demoted due to being a dog there. As for Spike being a boring human, him being Sci-Twi's adopted brother would not make him boring.(In fact him being a pet in EQG is awkward now since FIM ultimately confirmed that Spike is more of a brother to Twilight in her family) It would have led to interesting relationships and see what he could do and interact with the girls. As for the whole "whats a group of magical girls without their talking animal mascot?", its simple. They would be just taking a different direction as in not following all of the stuff magical girl groups typically have. Spike doesn't deserve to being reduced to being a talking animal mascot there.
  24. If they wanted to reference the negative side of the fandom, I am surprised they didn't reference anything about Celestia getting hate in the early days about Luna or something. Like the whole New Lunar Republic thing I've been hearing about. Well.. I've been hearing Celestia did get some flak in the early days, right?
