And the fact some issues that led NMM to happen wasn't exactly resolved either in the show as well.. This episode shows there's still problems for sure.

If only that was the case. But nope.. Heck, this same issue repeated in season 6, got 2 episodes or so on himself(and shined quite a bit in the premiere) but he got robbed HARD in To Where And Back Again. The season fell flat on its face in the end in regarding to Spike.

That actually aggravated me alot when it turns out Peewee got released off-screen like that. Spike deserves to have his own pet(and one who is essentially similar to his origins, as in a egg hatches among a different species and such). Before someone goes "phoenixes are not meant to be pets", Celestia goes "Is my Philomena a joke to you?" They could easily say Peewee imprinted on Spike(due to being literally the first thing the little birb sees upon hatching) and/or the other phoenixes don't accept Peewee back in or something. In fact I think Spike getting experience with his own pet would have helped him out in this episode. If Twilight forced Spike to let Peewee go due to believing he can't handle it, its pretty much hypocrisy to think he can handle 6. If him insisting on he can handle Peewee got disregarded, then how come his insisting on handling 6 pets worked??

Spike is actually kind of older than a kid than he appears there. And the fact he clearly does stuff that "kids" wouldn't do such as doing all of those checklists, all that stuff Twilight needs. And the fact often times he's left alone to watch over the library(a rather annoying reason overused on him being left out alot, being made to stay behind to watch over something). You don't leave a "kid" alone to handle something like a library(or even alone to watch over a home) like that.

Spike is not a freaking pet. He's flipping sapient there. As in talking, acting, etc. as the other sapient/sentient beings.

Definitely hoping for Luna there.

Or just capture the Royal Sisters since sadly they just most exist for Worf Effect or as a Maguffin at times(as in just holding something the bad guys can use more than them like Tirek taking their magic). Luna and Celestia kept getting taken out too much, easily or not its still bad especially for Luna.

From the looks of it, Luna is still not getting the amount of appreciation even with the dreamguarding stuff. So she must have had it pre-banishment too given how it didn't make the ponies equally appreciate her as Celestia there. And the fact it makes it even more awkward if she did got it after NMM due to she didn't get to do it for much long before the writers made her stop. And it hurts alot for Luna's case due to she didn't get to enjoy her destiny for much long. Heck, Celestia literally raised the moon longer than Luna due to the lost 1000 years thing. Its bad enough Luna didn't get to rule for much long, but making her give up whats her Cutie Mark representing would make it even more worse.

Actually Cozy Glow would have more personal connection to the Student Six since they were the ones that foiled her. Same for Chrysalis for Starlight's case(unfortunately, despite Spike is the one that caused her to lose her hive by befriending Thorax. He got robbed big time..) Tirek is the only one that has a more personal connection to the Mane 6 due to he was foiled by them DIRECTLY.

Her backstory is missing some pieces of info I think. And she kind of suffered from that due to how fans reacted to her because of it.

Pretty much she snapped and lashed out pretty badly. The mess there was pretty tragic.

When her night is finally loved and she ruled for some time, she is going to realize she misses Celestia once her the bitterness and jealously in her heart cools down. Its only a matter of time.

Most likely give NMM a bunch of years and eventually her bitterness might go away and ends up missing Celestia.

Discord should have been called out for that last part. The villains were still living beings, its wrong for Discord to use them as disposable pawns like that. He should have been past this by now, as in learning to treat others as beings like they are instead of just essentially toys/objects to him. That's what got his sorry flank turned to stone in the first place, having no regards over other living beings as he lets his chaos screw everything up while essentially seeing other ponies as playthings to him. He should have learned by now that its bad to view other beings as objects/things.

My thoughts exactly for NMM's case there. Pretty much she wasn't doing it for "evulz", she just wanted her night to be loved as much, if not more, than the day due to how she suffered and such. And the timeline thing showed she thought things through with Eternal Night given how she was ruling for a few years and Equestria looked completely fine. And the fact Celestia wasn't there for her to notice her suffering in time and the ponies of Equestria are guilty too for taking Luna for granted there and overpraising Celestia over her. Everyone was at fault for Nightmare Moon there, not just Luna alone. The whole mess was a tragedy there pretty much.

Still really bad though. In fact it would have been nice if the sisters DON'T do that due to how this threat is literally not from their world and the fact a actual war could be brought onto Equestria. Heck, more than the Mane 6 had to handle the crisis there so.. the sisters would have most likely not sit back. I think at least for Luna due to she clearly wanted to help like in Crystal Empire(but Celestia basically forced her to stay out of it).

Most likely the Royal Sisters would get left out.. From the looks of it, they didn't freaking appear at all in the Transformers crossover despite they were in that artwork there. I wanted to see how would they, the RULERS of Equestria, would handle the situation of transforming robots from another dimension have had their war end up in the land of Equestria there. But nope, Luna and Celestia don't appear AT ALL.. Which was seriously disappointing.

If that's the case, Celestia seriously screwed Luna greatly here. Does she realize Luna's reputation/track record is pretty damaged due to the NMM mess and losing a 1000 years of ruling?

Then again this is probably the problem Wallflower had, the students will not remember her if she kept erasing their memories. The ponies are most likely still freaking out due to they act like this is their first time dealing with this. If they properly known about this, they wouldn't freak out alot due to experience. Like they get used to it and adapt to the danger. If SMILE was behind how Equestria essentially forgotten about Luna while she was stuck up there, I want to see her tear that organization a new one big time. I mean.. if I were her, even I did something awful, I would feel even WORSE if I ended up being forgotten by everyone there. It doesn't matter if its for Luna's "protection", if Equestria didn't forget about her then they would be more prepared about her return. Like sympathizing with her due to what led to the NMM mess was tragic but also they would try to convince her to stop. In fact, having everyone forget about Luna/NMM while she was up there would be dangerous due to Nightmare Moon might get FURIOUS that she was forgotten there and most likely Celestia would be in even more danger with how NMM would most likely lash out at her for this. If they meant like covering up the whole Nightmare Moon thing in general, they failed badly due to Luna Eclipses shows everyone is aware Luna was Nightmare Moon and are afraid of her and such.

Apparently they erase the ponies' memories there. As shown in the book where the changelings attacked a party the Mane 6 were in and afterwards the agents erased everyone's memories there.

I hope they address the issue about spike being a dog instead of human. Maybe even have him become human. Since him being a dog really screwed him over in the long-run in EQG.

Celestia sure did not think stuff though such as how Luna would get the short end of the stick big time..

Too bad we didn't get the real Grogar though but a certain chaos spirit pulling a very iffy plan instead..

Pretty much Flurry Heart was used as a way to sideline Shining Armor and Cadance in the finale there. Honestly Twilight didn't realize that Flurry Heart is too young to save anyone and by the time she grows up, most likely everyone would be dead by then due to the huge mess the villain had done.
