    They had a pretty big civil war immediately after WW2 which lasted until about 1949. Like all civil wars it had a huge impact on the country wayyy after it ended. Don’t think they had a non-authoritarian government until the 80s.

    Vaguely related to the video but I’m always amazed at how light of an accent Swedish English speakers seem to have. I thought the guy was just a funny sounding Canadian at first. Gotta wonder what life is like for that one kid still living there (presumably) with their family, no one else around your age, no local schools, literally nothing but burning coal. The adults willing choose to stay there and suffer but poor kid doesn’t have a choice, that sucks.

    Independence Day isn’t a sad or heavy song but Fourth of July absolutely is, so just a warning.
