About the blood-test I have to have done tomorrow, yuck.

Coded for Windows, mainly has to do with the popularity of the platform and Microsoft wanting control over their own video games. There is truth in what you say, however Windows 11 received some negative press not just because of its strict hardware requirements and mandating TPM 2.0 on its release years ago and not guaranteeing compatibility with older gen I series Intel processors, but it uses far too much memory. I'm not a programmer myself however I do use my PC for gaming, and based on past experience I cannot say what Windows 11 uses on idle post installation is a good thing, a pagefile may be faster on an SSD than with a hard drive, but it is still considerably slower than RAM is so the amount of RAM Windows 11 uses on idle which is often in excess of over 8 gigabytes while using prefetch cache to justify this does not make me confident in it. Some of the stuff being prefetched isn't needed to begin with, if you're using an SSD, your system is likely already fast enough to load those programs without prefetch involved, all Windows is doing at that point is wasting RAM and depriving other applications of the RAM they may need later on to function. Ubuntu works differently it would seem as it only keeps things in RAM if they're needed at the time.

I like what Magma says in Batman Beyond episode Terrific Trio "No, I am an accident, with heroes they make a choice, I never did." This hits home the duality of choice, and the important distinction between what heroes are and are not. Without autonomy there is no heroism.

I don't speak for anybody else here, how this affects them is a nuanced issue and their own subjective experiences are within their own right to determine for themselves, not mine. But as for my experience with depression? it's a curse, one that has brought me to ruin many times over and one which I've had to seek therapy sessions for, and I have a feeling it probably won't be the last one. And it does not help to exist in a world that brings that pain either, I did not come here to burden anybody else or make enemies, but it only takes one misunderstanding for people to mistreat us or vice versa, and I've been at wits end about it on separate occasions, how do you recover from something like this? maybe some others are stronger than I am, I don't know, like I said I can only state my own experience with depression, sometime days I can cope with it, other days it gets so horrible I cannot sleep. Next time I see a GP I will ask them to extend my prescription of diazepam, at least when I am dreaming I'm out of it. It's part of the reason why I daydream, I don't hallucinate about beings who are not there, and I don't have a religion, however I am beginning to understand more deeply why some people would want an imaginary friend, considering that their imaginary friend appears to bring them more comfort than the real world does, or at least, they imply it, but hallucinations are still a sign of something going fundamentally wrong with a person's brain, and a fictional person is never a good substitute for a real person who you can relate to, it's one of those conundrums of the psyche, people seek refuge even in places that are only temporary, but in the end, what needs to change is how we treat each other, that is the only hope the world has in recovering from the mess it is in. -

I have not thought about this, I've been single since I was in school. I am single, have no intention on finding a date, not in person or on the internet. I have difficulty getting close to people as it is, worry about the pain that comes with that if it goes wrong, and to be a friend is enough for me, whether they agree with my opinions or not, and not all of my friends do which is fine. I have friends who don't even like My Little Pony, and it's whatever, that does not define their character as it does not define my own. But as long as they respect me as a person and don't belittle me or anybody else for this, I find them to be likable. So far, I have not encountered a friend who did this so I've had luck with that one, it would probably work out the same in a dating situation, however, I understand some people have been made fun of for their preferences in life which can affect their relationships with other people. Apparently adults get mistreated for not conforming to societal norms though, you know how that goes, the stereotype that adults must only watch horror films or do things considered "mature" like going to the bar or smoke tobacco and just as it was in the 80's this problem persists today, but quite frankly that is their problem not mine, and I think smoking is not mature at all, it is a destructive habit that puts a strain on our healthcare system, and they set a bad example for children. Which leads me to question whether or not people would date someone who smokes cigarettes?

They did have problems, Ponyville has not really seen more bouts of aggression overall than our world has seem to however, and while Everfree Forest has Timberwolves, in the real world we have mosquitoes, who infect people enough to be considered one of the most dangerous animals on the planet and which I remind you, Bill Gates invested in vaccination programs to address. Shark attacks on humans are not common, but things like getting bitten by snakes depending on where you live, is common, even if a snake is non venomous, a bite from any animal can still lead to infection if they penetrate our skin, pandemics are common also, we've had Ebola, Sars and recently COVID19 because of a disease from infected wild bats in China. All of which make Three's a Crowd episode look like nothing happened, now we have a potential outbreak from bird flu to be concerned about. Even in Applebuck Season episode where Applejack's mishap caused Pinkie Pie and other Ponies to become sick, does this mean food poisoning does not exist in real life? no, we know this, and this is a subject matter that gets brought up about food safety. Don't get me wrong, if I were in that fictional world, I'd be scared if I got lost in Everfree Forest, I mean, dealing with a Cockatrice would be risky as it was for Fluttershy, but this is why it is important to study and learn about the world we live in, knowledge is power, with knowledge you find solutions.

A common criminal who does armed robbery gets held up by police and ends up doing prison time if convicted in court of law, as they should be and often are, that's obvious, what I'm talking about is our two tiered system that allows convicted felons to be left off just because of their social status or favouritism, the double standards in our system is the problem. At least in Equestria they tried to address this problem, even with their own set of flaws and inconsistencies along the way like in the case with Starlight Glimmer, who clearly did not have a smooth recovery like Princess Luna did, Nightmare Moon is no more, and while Luna can still use this transformation, she does not do so for the sake of aggression anymore, an eternal night had ecological implications for Equestria so it was in their best interest to put a stop to that, and they did. Starlight Glimmer on the other hoof, did not recover so quickly and her emotional problems persisted into the later seasons, in one episode if I recall, she killed Discord, before using her magic to restore him to life. Magic or technology, who cares, they're both tools of destruction if left in the possession of the wrong people.

That would be a teaser, in my case it would be mockery of my desire to be a citizen in Equestria, because it would be short-lived and caused by somebody who does not want me to get my wish. So in this case, it would not be enjoyable, it would be humiliation. But it is in character of Plankton to do, so there's that. He is a naughty one!

I don't use high end electronics either, even my gaming PC can be only classed as mid tier at most, but Linux generally works better than Windows regardless of the fact because of how efficient it is, and as stated by somebody else, it is only because of unintentional coding that games would perform worse on Linux, with all things equal, Linux should be superior because there's less going on in the background. I'm not partial to either Debian or Ubuntu, I use Debian on my Raspberry Pi 5, Ubuntu on my other system, but my experiences with them have been good and I discovered games on Steam work on Linux through Steam Deck which is good. It seems there will one day come a time when incompatibility with Linux will be a thing of the past, for anything DOS related, use DOSbox, I can now play Sim City 2000 on my Pi 5 if I wanted to no problem, and it doesn't crash as long as I don't go too extreme on overclocking. Vulkan may be problematic in some areas but it obviously won't matter in simpler or less graphically intense games like Streets of Rage 4 when the frame rate is already at a stable 60fps, I use Vulkan on my system and not had a single issue from it.

I don't have a month I hate, however if I were to have a month which is my least favourite? probably January or February, though December is the darkest month in northern hemisphere, the coldest months in UK typically begin shortly after that. Not saying I particularly like heatwaves in July, however we don't get them all of the time. One good thing about winter though, is it's not too hot to sleep at night, and my duvet is usually enough to shield me from the worst of the cold weather thanks to insulation in my home. I appreciate the snow in winter sometimes, but it does not snow very often here either where I live.

I don't feel like our world is ready to understand the nuances behind this type of story telling, people too often forget the damage that trauma can to do people and it can manifest itself in different ways like this. Nobody here is saying it is an excuse to do harm, however it explains their behavior, losing a friend can hurt a lot, feelings of jealousy and isolation don't just happen out of thin air. Instead people focus too much on tit for tat instead of helping individuals recover from this, so we're caught in the catch 22 of people wanting to solve a problem, but continue methods that do nothing to fix the problem.

If Starlight Glimmer hadn't of intervened, Luna and Celestia would have failed to cooperate with each other on important matters in Royal Problem, and from where I'm sitting, unleashing the demon Daybreaker would be the last thing Equestria would have needed. Family squabbles should never be left to chance, and before anyone acts high and mighty, cannot do wrong about this, these situations can happen to anyone, it does not matter how well "disciplined" or "competent" people think they are, people have their breaking points, and when people snap, there is a potential for something to go horribly wrong, sometimes violence is the result, this is why it is imperative to break up squabbles instead of letting individuals argue and belittle each other constantly. In every profession there needs to be staff on duty for security, the same is true for royalty. We don't have magic in real life but that does not matter, people did not even need magic in real life and they still get away with malfeasance on a regular basis, people who don't change even if they get pulled into the criminal justice system, sometimes wealthy and privileged individuals get nothing more than a criminal record for felonies, and are allowed to walk the streets. Yes, people who are more dangerous and manipulative than Starlight Glimmer. Compared to that, I'd take living in Equestria any day of the week if I could, but I cannot.

We have wildlife in real life which can be considered dangerous as well, people swim in the ocean knowing full well the risks of riptides and sharks which could eat them, and while sharks do not typically attack humans, there are still recorded instances of this occurring, there's always a chance. What I am saying is, no matter where we are in the world, nature is not perfect. As for Ponies in Ponyville from MLP fiction, they're already aware of the risks of Everfree Forest I think, but they have to live somewhere and it may be one of the few areas in their world with fertile soil for all we know. Sometimes survival means we have to take risks, even if they are not convenient. Ponies are aware of the existence of predatory creatures in their world such as dragons and they do fear them, at the same time though, what can they do? they can defend their territory, sure, they are well within their right to do so, however they know there's a line that shouldn't be crossed because other creatures in their world have as much right to exist as they do, it's why they accepted Spike, knowing full well that he too is a dragon and will one day become an adult. As for the problem of agriculture, better to grow farmlands there, or at least in parts of Equestria where Applejack works in Sweet Apple Acres which is close to Ponyville, than to attempt to do it in a winter wonderland like the Frozen North which would kill a cropfield in an instant. If it wasn't for the fertility of the land from the lower latitudes it's likely Crystal Ponies would not even exist, I'm not as familiar with them as I should be, however I am sure they are not immortal. As noisy as Ponyville would be for me if I could exist in that fantasy world, obviously cannot, but for sake of discussion, if I did, I'd rather take my chances there, than risk hypothermia in a polar region. If I lived in Ponyville long enough I could probably adapt. The availability of food in that region is a considerable advantage, and getting to know Rainbow Dash could make weather somewhat predictable.
