Tips vid on how to keep a straight bow on the violin, I generally stick to Fiddlehed and Joy Lee for violin learning but Katy Adelson has the best video by far, explaining the technicalities of bowing and then suggesting her straw technique - I need to get myself a couple straws and try this!! I notice the bad violin tone from crooked bowing when I play and my bow slips and it drives me mad and this will force me to maintain proper posture :]

Agreed - ratings are arbitrary and too subjective. What a 7.0 means to me will be different to someone else's 7.0. I would prefer people just give their summarised opinion on something than slap a rating on it because a rating tells me nothing ultimately.

(Credit for this idea goes to @Acinonyx as they voiced it out loud to me a few weeks ago but haven't made a thread about this yet and I'm not so sure they will) The Ask a Pony section seems a bit... hmm, chaotic, when it comes to separating from member threads and character threads. Putting them all together makes for a confusing experience when you're interested in finding topics of other members so you can ask questions, and it's a bit strange to include member ask threads in the Roleplay World section because unless I'm interpreting it wrong, the member asks are for the real life people and not necessarily pony OCs/self inserts? Perhaps they should be organised into different subsections, or member asks moved elsewhere entirely into the Beyond Equestria section. I think the latter idea would be great for an easy way to get to know other members better in a section you may expect to see such threads.

There are some really cool ranks I've noticed like 'Dragon' or 'Evil Changeling' and I feel like when I have earned a rank I like, I'd feel like I'm getting a downgrade for overcoming it if I don't like the rank that comes after as much. Would it be a more rewarding experience for people to get a list of ranks they've earned and pick which one they wish to display on their profile? That way it still incentivises engagement if you have to earn them but you won't be 'punished' for posting if you go up a rank and don't like it. It'd also make profiles feel more customisable so the way I see it everyone would win? (I know forums have their limitations sometimes so idk how feasible this suggestion would be in reality even if people do like it, so my bad if it's hard/impossible to implement.)
