Then why are you asking about exotic cars in the first place? "Sexy" is very often used when talking about the stylings of cars such as the Challenger, Charger, or V12. Go get yourself a Civic and rice it out with a fart cannon and illegal blue headlights if all you want is "ego stroking". I should elaborate that it varies state by state. It's not a federal issued license here, just a state one. And rules, ages, and types of licenses vary. It's pretty stupid honestly.

I think it's 16 here. I waited until 18 though so I didn't have to deal with a temp license that requires you to have a legal driver with you.

Well since we're all just a bunch of dreamers, I say neither. 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T has sexier lines IMO than the Charger.

Could also add that the game is on Steam. And again, my handle is @kitzel. -

A fleet topic would be great. Could even use it to plan events and stuff if we wanted. That way those interested in joining could see what we're up to and stuff, see if we'd be a good fit or maybe give them that push to join the game. -
technology Looking for a monitor that is: 1080p, 120Hz or higher, 24-inch [Monitor bought]
Puddlejumper replied to Luna the Great of all the Russias's topic in Media Discussion
I personally prefer Samsung or Dell monitors, but the Asus ones I've encountered were pretty nice. Admittedly that's only about 2 or so, but they're in my top 5 I'd say mostly because I've had good luck with their other products as well. -
Is Equestria Girls something I must watch?
Puddlejumper replied to Yummychickenblue's topic in Equestria Girls
It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It took me awhile to give in and watch it because all the flak made it sound like it was going to be horrible. I was bored one day so I figured "why not". It's generally got the same vibe to it as the show, just in a high school setting, and not ponies. I've actually watched it 2 or 3 times by now, mostly because I like to rewatch things to pickup on stuff I might have missed the first time through. First time I normally focus on the actual story of something, then I go back and just enjoy. Watching for easter eggs and stuff. I'll agree with @TenorSounds, it's a B/B- I'd say. -
Sadly I live on the other side of the country from Cali and too far from Baltimore to attend BronyCon or I'd setup a meeting. And I have a hard time understanding people on my phone half the time, plus the thing is just hard to have extended conversations on since it's so thin. If there was a Skype/Kik/similar option I'd be up for that, has anyone else asked about doing so that way yet? I'd hate to bother them with an email asking about that if someone else already has.

Been awhile since I've offered up my OC for something like this, so why not. Love the ones you've done so far, wouldn't mind a link to your DA if you don't mind sending it my way. Do I break the OC trend so far and request the Great and Powerful Mane-iac... Nah, I think I'd rather have something of my one and only OC: Puddlejumper More pics, bio, and all that can be found in the link (including details about what she looks like dry). Shortened Bio: She's kind of shy, keeps to herself usually, but can be very open and random when around friends. Loves rain and just hanging out on clouds at night, enjoying the view. No matter what, thanks for the chance!

general media How on earth do these folks get the cosplay costumes?
Puddlejumper replied to sampsoninc916's topic in Media Discussion
I started making Mandalorian armor a few years back, it's since moved to the waaaaay back burner, but I was making it all except the helmet basically. One year for Halloween I made an actual Freddy Krueger glove. Used one of those plastic costume ones as a template and went from there with a burnt/torn leather work/welding glove I had, scrap copper pipes, and sheets of steel we had laying around. You've just got to think smart. Buy what you can find at a store. Depending on the character, Army Surplus stores can be great. Antique stores, thrift stores, or other specialty stores are your best bet, and then make or hire the rest out. If you don't have the skill or don't want to spend the money, then go with a character like Booker from Bioshock who wears pretty basic clothes you could find at a thrift store probably. Something like a Xeno or Predator is just people who either have great skill and plenty of time, or a swimming pool of money like Scrooge McDuck. -
My uncle had that exact car growing up. My mom's family had some sweet cars back in the day. My gramps had a fastback Mustang and a Z28 Camaro I think it was. My mom had a hemi Challenger in hemi orange to boot. My uncle had that Trans Am as well as some other muscle car that I can't think of right now, and I'm sure I'm forgetting more. Too bad none of them hung onto any of them. My dad had a couple "Spirit of America" Nova's (or whatever that package was called) and I think he had an AMX.

They have finally arrived! and there was much rejoicing. Photo Finish Queen Chrysalis Celestia & Mane 5 Zecora EqG Anyone else planning on picking any of these up? I kind of want Celestia but no one else from the collection, anyone buying it and would be willing to part with Sunbutt? Or would anyone be interested in buying any of the others that come in the set? Anyways... Ponies in stockings. Not even Hasbro could resist.

Well other than texting on my phone, I don't do Skype. The PC versions are problematic and has horrible UI design choices. Not honestly sure how much communication is needed in this game, guess we'll have to see. -

Skype is not very viable in-game, so we should use Steam or in-game. I've never been in a fleet but I'd assume there is "guild chat" like any other MMO. -

I kind of agree, I should have added Brony to my list of don'ts above. We should do Starfleet Wonderbolts (or Shadowbolts). And @NonCreative, if you need any help or anything feel free to shoot me a message in-game. My tag is @kitzel I believe. -

I'm available all weekend, will probably be in-game too. Fleet name: Trixie is Great Description: Was there ever any doubt? Actually they don't matter much to me so long as it's not NLR, Dash, or Pinkie related. :comeatus: Something just MLP in general would be best if going that route, otherwise something better fitting ST has my vote. -

If only this had been a month or two ago I'd be all for it, but with college starting back up soon I wouldn't have much time. Been interested in this since I found out about it not too long ago, sounds like fun. The easiest way to go about learning it would probably be over skype or something where you could actually talk. As for the rule book, it's just a PDF. Any Android device can load it with Adobe Reader, and I'm sure it's on iOS as well (or some non-Adobe PDF reader). Just click the download link from the link provided above. -

The search function is broken currently I think, been that way for awhile. Same with looking at topics participated in and stuff. A lot of duplicate topics popping up recently though with the search glitches going on. I cheated when I reported the duplicate topic since I had posted in this one before, I googled it exactly. -
technology i think there's something wrong with my computer. Help?
Puddlejumper replied to Espurr's topic in Media Discussion
The first course of action would be to check and make sure you have everything up to date from the Adobe website. I've never run into this issue so it can't be completely unfixable. I do use adblock plus though, so maybe that keeps things in check by not allowing the ads to play? -
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is my all-time favorite Mario game. Wish they would come out with another, and port the original to the 3DS. The music in it... oh the memories.

Maybe you wouldn't daily drive an old car, but I have and would do it again. I had all the modern tech I needed in my '74 Gladiator (power steering, power disc brakes, A/C), these things were offered as far back as '63 on the Gladiators, these aren't "modern" things that came out in the past 20 years. They even came with front independent suspension back in '63, it wasn't very popular though and was done away with only a few years later. All the other features of modern vehicles, I was honestly happy to be without. The less electronics to break, the better IMO. More importantly though is that you seem to be missing the point of owning an older car. All those toys you listed are nice in their own right (I'm more inclined to buy a V6 Camaro/Mustang/etc because of fuel mileage, they have plenty of power, and you'll never legally use the V8s power unless you are into track racing), but they lack the allure of some old school muscle. The main draw to old cars though isn't the power, it's the character, which very much is something newer cars lack. Sure, there are some exceptions like the Camaro or RX-8 that stand out in stylings, but even then you've got glaring flaws like hard to see out of, lack of power, built out of horrible materials, or unreliable components to name a few things. Cost is another big factor in owning those toys you listed, not just up front, but down the road as well. Even just a light bulb is expensive on those BMWs (I owned a '96 M3, I should know), and chances are any work needs to be done at a shop. Older vehicles are great for those of us willing to get our hands dirty and really learn our vehicles. You named off a bunch of straight up toys in the car world, how about some examples of good styling and allure in other areas? A lot of people are drawn to the Bel Airs, Eldorados, Furys, CJ-7s, FJ40s, etc. and I can guarantee it's not because of the power.
