Slenderman Stabbing

OG Blaze

Recommended Posts

I just saw this on my local news station, they even showed a picture of Slenderman and footage of the CreepyPasta Wikia.

The two girls are being charged with attempt of murder and have a half a million dollars in bail. They'll be there for a while.

Also the one girl said Slenderman watches her and can read her mind. Kids these days. They had the whole thing planned out for a long time and wanted to stab her in a bathroom stall in the woods so the "blood would go down the drain so no traces would be found". The knife wounds were extremely close to her vital organs but she's doing alright.

At least the town that his happened in is three and a half hours away from where I live, but it's not very assuring.

Seriously... This is just rediculous. Apparently, two twelve-year old girls who've been reading too many Slenderman creepypastas or something like that decided to go stab a classmate of theirs in cold blood in the woods so they could demonstrate their devotion and become his proxies at his magical mansion of Slenderness which they believed to be somewhere in Wisconsin.

My God, it's just a fictional character, made to entertain people or make them piss themselves; stabbing people in the woods isn't going to make him any less fake.

Fortunately, the victim, who was also 12, was found by a cyclist and is now in stable condition. The "proxies", however, will end up serving 65 years in prison for attempted murder.

And that's that. The victim's ok, and the two crazy Slenderman fanatics will be behind bars. I can't say I feel sorry for them; I mean, it's a bit sick in the head to go and stab someone because you believed that a fictional faceless Men's Wearhouse manequinn with arm and leg extensions and tentacles would accept you into his fictional cult of crazies.

My two cents on the matter. If you want, you could post yours too.

Parents these days have zero reliabilities in teaching their children to stay out of trouble, and one of the examples is that they LET the girls go stab another 12-year old that were oh-so obsessed with Slenderman. They get what they deserve, and I hope their parents gets slapped with massive amounts of fines for their lack of supervision to their daughters.  >_>

I really hope my son doesn't turn out that crazy at 12.  That is absolutely ridiculous.  And who's parents lets their 12 year old's go into the woods alone?

Irresponsible ones, obviously.

All or most problems start at home with the parents/kids. Their parents should've monitor what their kids access on the internet since there is a lot of weird and messed up things on internetland. The kids are probably messed up in the heads to try and do that. Since they demonstrated what they did, they pretty much RUINED the rest of their lives.

As i said. They could actually be proxies according to my fictional universe theory. On the other hand. If you think i'm stupid and insane(Which you probably will). I just think it might be an excuse for what they actually did. 8 Year old School children in elementary are stupid. They bully each other. They are Bigoted. And they will just do stupid stuff to gain attention. Because all they are focused on is fame. Those girls probably did it to get on the news. And were promoting Slenderman as a publicity stunt(Albeit a very dangerous illegal one).

Well, the game/mythos is going to be blamed, despite the fact that murder isn't required to summon Slenderman, I'm pretty sure...

People, man. These kids aren't mentally healthy and, coming from an obsessed and rabid fanboy himself, when your obsession harms yourself as well as others, you need to seek out help. These kids should go to a mental hospital for a while - I think they need a little bit of help determining the fine line between reality and t.v.

Wait, so is the media going to blame reality tv now too

Yeah, they need to see a mental health professional for sure.  But I don't think it would ever be safe to let them out on the street again if they're capable of murder (even if it was just attempted)

I heard about this issue. First of all I am disgusted that it even happened, but at the same time confused - did someone really think, that Slenderman is real? I mean, it's just random creepy story that somehow became popular after there was released a video game with slenderman as prime antagonist. I feel sorry for that poor girl that was stabbed ;/

And no, this is not fault of slenderman story itself. They were 12 years old. They should've not read this. Someone screwed up with their "parenting skills" - their parents. Internet is full of even worse stuff than creepypasta, no kid that is so young should browse it without any control. What if they ran into rule 34 pictures? Or into overly gory pictures? Or read a creepypasta about Jeff The Killer? Parents are who should be blamed for this incident, but I am afraid that news around the world will instantly blame computer game and will post stupid videos of parents crying over how it spoiled their kids. It's always like that - young kid plays for example gory game and everyone blames game, not the person who bought it. I don't understand it. Why should we do parent's job and keep away kids from such stuff by not making it? Their kids are their responsibility and I think parents should have some kind of punishment too, if they paid attention to what their daughters were browsing on the internet then maybe they would've prevented it.

And those two girls themselves? Prison for sure. But not only, therapist would be needed too. They might repeat it again if nobody will look into this. Unless they will just grow up and realize how stupid is what they've done themselves.

This is sick! That poor girl who was stabbed is going to be traumatized for the rest of her life. She will probably end up being  a hermit living in the woods with 10 cats because she won't trust anyone ever again! :(

Those idiot "friends" are  to blame. It is their fault. They are responsible for their own actions.

To the media that wants to blame it on anything else:

The internet is no place for a child. A small portion of the deep web contains child pornography, snuff films, hitmen, and drug dealers. It's simply awful what kids are able to access.

OK that was over dramatic. But what the problem is. is that American Parenting in general is bad. Mainly because the southern states are too bigoted and stupid to notice. Their Kids are well stupid. Michael Morones attempting to hang himself because children of bigoted parents threatened him just because of his sub-culture. People are taking the blame on Video Games, Furries, Bronies, Heavy Metal, Fast Food, Literature and all other sorts of media. Which is stupid. They say Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were inspired by Doom. And that attorney Jack Thompson says Video Games should be banned. In my country back in the 80s they had a debate on whether Space Invaders caused ''Childhood Deviancy''. All i'm saying is. Why is everyone blaming the media? It's Parents and Children's fault!!!

People with psychological disorders that manifest in violence will always find a justification for their actions. If it wasn't "Slenderman" it would be something else. Millions of people of various demographics are exposed every day to urban legends, violent video games, movies, and a myriad of other stimuli. You can't blame society or society's creations for any of it. The only true cause of this sort of thing is mental illness.

Also, I hate to bring up religion here, but there are thousands of crimes every year in which the person claims religious motivations. Some are minor crimes: theft, bizarre cases of disturbing the peace, etc....but they all claim "god told me to steal the sign from that McDonalds lobby" or "Jesus wanted me to drive my car into the lake while screaming." Several cases of mothers killing their children have ended with the mothers claiming that god told them to send their children to heaven. Now, obviously god didn't tell them to do these things, mental illness did. Richard Ramirez believed he was killing people so god wouldn't send earthquakes to California. Yet when these things happen, all anyone suggests is mental illness. No one suggests banning religion. Because religion isn't the cause, it was the excuse. Crazy finds a way. If you are mentally ill, a video game seems like a great reason to shoot a bunch of people. If you aren't, it never occurs to you, which is why millions of people play them and don't immediately turn into Charles Whitman.

Lmao it's soooooo incredibly FUNNY when people blame movies, music, games, FICTION for ridiculous/crazy actions done by unstable people. Basically, people will blame everything "but the innocent 12 year old kids".

Well, let me tell ya: I read the articles and that shit was PLANNED OUT and they KNEW what they were doing. Most people in society know the difference between fiction and reality.... so the few who DON'T obviously had problems. So how could you blame anything else BUT their own mental problems? It's not like everyone or even the VAST majority of people subjected to Creepypasta are psycho killers. Right? Right. Therefore, I put the blame on the kids. 12 is damn well old enough to know right from wrong. I'm pretty sure they're mentally unstable or just evil.

Yeah, they should be locked away. It seemed blatantly premeditated, thus leading me to believe they're twisted enough to hurt people again.

I recently read an chilling article about a stabbing that went on in Wisconsin about none other than our friendly neighborhood man, Slenderman.

Apparently two girls at the age of 12 are crazily obsessed and or fascinated with Slenderman and decided to take it upon themselves to make an appearance with him. They choose to make an appearance by inviting one of their friend to a sleepover, a girl the same age as the crazies. The girl suspected nothing, but when she was drawn out by her friends in the morning after the sleepover to the middle of the woods she was stabbed multiple times.

The article claims that the crazy girls thought that by attempting to murder their friend, Slenderman would make an appearance to them. The young girl was able to make it out of the forest, cry for help, and is now recuperating in a hospital.

The two crazies were found and now face charges as adults.

What do you think about this? Should the Slenderman urban myth/ video game be to blame for this? Or should the parents or blame go to mental conditions of the girls?

Personally I think the girls are to be blamed for this horrific action, and to no toll should the urban myth of Slenderman be judged for this happening.

Look at it this way.

If the slenderman myth was never revamped, those nutjobs would probably have attempted murder in another way, possibly succeeding.  You could say that "slenderman" prevented a death.  Luckily, the stabbed girl is making a full recovery.  I guess weak 12 year old arms can't push a knife through..

If religion was banned, I wouldn't truly be free in this country.  I would definitely leave..

Well there goes a portion of my faith in humanity again  :okiedokielokie:  Seriously? Trying to summon a myth by trying to murder your friend? I just... ugh... I don't even know what to say.  They should be blamed for it because they were crazy enough to go through with it! Sure they did it off a thing that says you do this Slenderman appears but IT'S THE FREAKIN SLENDERMAN!? WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SUMMON HIM?! The stupidity and craziness... I don't even... I really hope they get what's coming to them.

"Dear princess Celestia, today I've learned that it is not a good idea to take my friends into the woods and murder them.  It's not very considerate of other people's feelings.  Your faithful student, Twilight sparkle."   Bleh

Woah just evolved into pheonix

Felt like Glados typing that.

Whaaaa?? Honestly! People do some crazy things nowadays!

I don't think it's exactly right to blame the parents, obviously there is a point where one realises that murder is wrong.

I don't think the game is to blame for this either. Though it's not the first time I've heard this kind of thing. I've also seen someone accuse MLP for similar things too...  :eww:

Lucky the girl survived though. It would be terrible for her parents to go through that too!

Funny because my Eevee just evolved into Umbreon xD..

TWILIGHT NO! STOP TRYING TO SUMMON THE SLENDER MAN!  :(

This seriously brings up the question "why?" though. Did they get obsessed over the myth, did they think it would be cool to meet the thing that can bring your demise, did they think they would get popular by getting video footage? What in the world..  either they were going through some crazy times to do such a messed up things or they were just crazy to begin with. What I hope doesn't happen is they blame the Slenderman Horror Game. That's the last thing that needs to be on the media again. Video games. Which of course is a different topic but I would prefer they don't jump back onto the video games are evil band wagon again if they decide that is what caused it.  :okiedokielokie:  The girls and the media are hurting my mind... they're hurting my ideas.

That is just like that Binding of Isaac game. And also. Is that why Muslims like Al Qaeda are doing those attacks? Because they thought that they were doing under God?

This, so much this, by the time you're 12 years old you're damn past the age of being influenced to murder, these kids are obviously disturbed and if not for slenderman they would have done it for the devil or some other kind of creepy related thing.
