Honestly though, has Disney really done anything to the Marvel Universe that bad?! (Aside of the Superhero Show that sucks as both Marvel and a kid's show!)

Actually that show was from way before Disney purchase.

Pinkie Pie: Give it time...

^ Not even being overly serious lol; just had to post that.  Had.  To.

I'm glad for you, and I'm honestly not being sarcastic (in case it sounded that way ^^; ).  Ideally, I would like to like as many things as possible; thus achieving maximum enjoyment / comfort / satisfaction.  And the stuff you said about boycotts and letter writing was good, but that doesn't sound like stuff I would do lol.  Also, pretty sure I already buy about zero Disney anything.  Though, darnit, they're the North American distributors for some Hayao Miyazaki films...

Well then you can't really complain about not being represented if you don't represent yourself now can you?

Oh those are great! I LOVE Princess Mononoke!

Best song in "Frozen" was - and this is absolutely 100% fact and therefore inarguable lol - "In Summer."  That song had the biggest laughs in the film.  I mean that escaped from my face.  I identified big time with Elsa, though.  Aversion to touch (sort-of), social awkwardness, seeming agoraphobe and shut-in...  Me. xD  A lot "hotter" than me, but me nonetheless.

Oh . . . well regardless, it's a bad show. It takes everything that makes Marvel good, relatively human characters, grey morality, societal repercussions, and kicks them in the head! Reducing it all to cutsie play dolls fighting goofy Muhahahaha! not really dangerous evil guys!

Princess Mononoke is my second favorite film of all time (second only to Akira)!  Also loved Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro...  I'll stop before I list practically everything Miyazaki.  And you'd be surprised what I can complain about lol.  I also have this pervasive feeling of smallness in regard to things like this.  It's a wonder that I even voted in the last presidential election, I tells ye.

Those are all fantastic films.

I'll tell you one thing though, you have much more power in regards to the private sector than these crooked elections.  >_> Look at us for instance. We've affected the show! In small and big ways. Our love and devotion can inspire loyalty and change in those who create for the purpose of making art.

I've read enough posts to put this out there and have it make sense.

Let's be fair and honest Disney has NOT always been a clean cut company

But they have not been without their share of great times.

I haven't made it to the season 4 finale yet for FiM but from the

Sounds of things it's best to assume Hasbro knows what's good

If they listen to us Bronies on our ideas about fan products they'd

Be living not only a good life but a good idea into our mindsets

For what we like.

For me, keep Hasbro OUT of Disneys hands. Just because it's

What's best for business

Those aren't Hasbro's decisions. Studio DHX are the true creative minds behind this masterpiece. Hasbro is primarily a toy company, they will always prioritize the merchandise over the shows if needed to choose between them.

Disney, on the other hand, is at it's heart, an animation company. If anything, I would trust them with MLP more than Hasbro, if nothing else with a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude which Hasbro can't seem to get.

Whew, read the title, you almost got me there for a minute!

Nope, can't say I like the idea considering the company's past and how anti-fan it is.

Also, for those wondering how it would affect FiM, if Disney were to Hasbro FiM would be cancelled after purchase. Whenever Disney bought a company any shows that were running at the time got cancelled shortly afterwards. To use some examples: Spectacular Spider-Man, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Star Wars: Clone Wars.

Comic and Movie wise? No.

Show wise?....

I don't really think it's possible to tell what would happen if Disney bought Hasbro... I like to think that nothing would change and the show would go on the same as it is, as normal. I think either that would happen or the show would just be cancelled altogether, or the show would go on as normal but Disney would suggest (and by that I mean "force") for the show to go in a different direction, and it might change in an undesirable way. Worst case scenario: the show goes on but the whole crew gets replaced by Disney animators and Disney producers who take it in a whole new, crappy direction and are way faster and harsher on cracking down on fan-made content that makes use of copyrighted material. Now that would suck.

Why? Hasbro doesn't control DHX too tightly now. Otherwise Derpy's infamous scene wouldn't have seen the light of day, let alone be broadcasted.

My theory is that Disney would just say to DHX, "just keep doing what you're doing." With maybe a toy tie in with Celestia and the other princess. (Oh the toys right NOW are any more accurate to the show!)

Why what? I think it's very plausible that Disney would let them keep doing it the way they're doing it.

Oh you're original scenario sounded quite damning. I apologize for misreading it.

That's okay :) . I was just trying to give a couple different scenarios, since I don't really have any idea what would happen if Disney bought Hasbro.

"What are you trying to accomplish, putting yourselves in danger like that? Trying to see "justice" done? Is that really justice, though? Aren't you just doing this because you want a little spice in your boring lives? What's the difference between that and a criminal who gets his kicks by murdering people? You see what I'm getting at? There's still a lot of time left. Give it some thought."

Idk, I don't dislike Disney or anything, they make some great stuff of their own, but I don't think I really want them taking over Hasbro and causing all kinds of change within MLP.

I think it's safer that things stay as they are and Disney doesn't get Hasbro, because it's iffy to what might happen. And I have no quarrels with how the show is currently really anyways.
