What gaming console of this gen has been the most disappointing? Was it PS4 with it's somewhat barren starting lineup, Wii U for absolutely horrible sales, or was it any other consoles? Vote in the poll and explain why YOU think the console was disappointing.

Easily the PS4 for me,the games were and still are lacking for me. And playstation doesn't have one damn exclusive i care for,and the only reason i have one is for the slightly better performance on the multiplats. :okiedokielokie:

 

Atleast the XB1 and Wii U have games i actually want to play in the future that aren't 3rd party.  (Halo 5/MC Collection,Zelda Hyrule Warriors,SSB Wii u ect)

Ps4 why? because at launch it lacked any good games and most of the game are just ps3 games with enhanced graphics and for the love of god sony stop making remakes of the same game and trust me this is coming out a sony fan and i brought the ps4 at launch ugh it sucked hard

Its all very subjective. I don't care a bit about any of the Xbox One's exclusives, so I guess I'd say Xbox. Some of Ps4's look good, like Infamous, but not enough for me to want to buy a console. I actually own a WiiU, but its been only recently that games have been coming out for it that I want. Overall, I'm just very "meh" about this generation so far.

it's a bit early to decide though. I mean remember when the 3DS was thought to be a joke and that the Vita would completely stomp it?

 

I voted Ouya because even though I had 0 expectations for it, the thing is dead and will never come back.

It's impossible to determine whether a console is underwhelming or not at this point.

 

I could talk up the Wii U really good right now, due to how much fun I've had with Mario Kart 8. However, then I think back with the Wii. Mario Kart Wii was an equal blast, but the Wii ended up being the most disappointing console yet... Mario Kart Wii was just a one time case.

Hardware aside, they've all been about equally disappointing for different reasons. The main reason why I already own two of them and plan on getting the PS4 soon is the coming potential.

I'm finding the PS4 highly overrated the more I hear about it, I mean, just almost every game it's getting is showing up on PC and Xbox One, and most of it's exclusive games aren't coming out until 2015. For a lot of issues the Wii U and the Xbone have, at least their line-ups look promising

The PS4 By FAR is the most of a let down. My only expectation for the PS4 was: GIVE ME FREE ONLINE. And Sony removed that. So, yeah. Sony, you have well and truly screwed yourself, I'll stick with the PS3.

I own a PS3, but I haven't the slightest interest in ever owning a PS4.  I mean, owning a Wii and PS3 kinda made sense.  I loved my Wii for the VC, first party stuff, and the versatile new controller, and PS3 was a blu ray player and my ticket into the realm of HD gaming.  But now...  All three major consoles are HD and have exceptional graphics, imo.  I'm not that big on graphics anyhow, but there just isn't anything home console or portable that looks bad to me (and I still love me some pixel-rific 8-bit and 16-bit).  And really - the PS4 and Xbox One both strike me as increasingly (as PC specs steadily improve) underpowered gaming PCs; I'm having trouble this gen differentiating between those two and a PC.  If power and 3rd party support is what they're emphasizing (or what fans of the respective systems tend to bring up), then neither really impresses me.  To be fair, there aren't any for-reals exclusives for either platform that are must-haves for me.  Nintendo, on the other hand, is all about exclusives and offering a different gaming experience.  And that's a big draw for me (I also happen to really enjoy many Nintendo franchises - and have for years).  I hope none of this reeks of hate; I just get what I want for my gaming needs from Nintendo this gen.  And Xbox, PS, and PC seem as though they're fighting almost the same exact battle.  I might get a gaming PC down the road if I find that I absolutely can't live without some titles that will be giving the Wii U a miss.

The generation is only a year old (since the releasing of all the big consoles) and you think we can properly judge how things are gonna turn out? There hasn't been enough time for the PS4 and Xbone to get a good variety of games while the 3DS and Wii-U, which have both been out for a good while now, have a good head start with a bunch of great games though most of the great ones seem to be first party. There's not a whole lot to say about any of them right now when none of the big-hitting games have even been released yet.

I agree with a lot of the other guys. It's too early to decide, though, I don't plan on ever getting an Xbone, because Halo is terrible (better than CoD, but that's not saying much) and I'm not interested in any of the Xbone's exclusives. I got a PS4, and I'm perfectly happy with it. I'm getting a Wii U next, because of MK8, SSB4, and Zelda.

I don't buy consoles, I just use my laptop (Although I do have a 3ds for pokemon.). Wii U is the only one I'd consider getting because of the exclusives, although I've heard about a successor to demon's souls on the ps4. Considering most games I play are either from the 80's/90's, pc exclusive strategy games, or indie titles, I don't need a console for anything but pokemon and fire emblem.

the WiiU and the most disappointing thing about it is that it has so much potential, i played batman armored edition, and the Wii U is awesome with that type of game, the game pad offers so many possiblities, but due to nintendos bad 3rd party relationships, their refusal to make games for it, and now the law suit with Phillips, its depressing

 

the biggest problem with the xbox one is microsoft doesnt know how to market their console,
