By the way, sucks about the whole The Chariot farewell tour thing. But if it makes you feel any better, it's not even coming anywhere near my continent ;_;

Damn, I thought I had it bad since they weren't coming towards my country, fuck. It sucks for the both of us I guess. Well I hope that there'll be some more good concerts coming up.

So this is a thing.

If the teaser is anytihng to base the album on, it feels alot more groovy than anything they've done before. Then again, they haven't done anything worthwhile since Rareforms.

I seriously cannot get enough of these guys. They can be so dreamy and melodic, while they can still come around like a freight train.

It's amazing they can release music of this quality every year, and I hope they can keep at that next year.

Another Sludgy Powerviolence album

Besides the excessive amount of feedback in this album, I really like it. It's rather memorable compared to most Powerviolence albums. They got the potential to create something classic, so I'm looking forward to their next release

So this looks promising.

Side project of Wes Hauch and Ryan Glisan, from The Faceless and Allegaeon respectively. They will be finding a vocalist and not shit-production drums like in the demo.

My favourite Depressive Black Metal band, Austere, are re-releasing their debut. It's not anything new as such, but seeing as they split up quite a while back, at least it's something.

Oh, so I saw on Facebook that Between the Buried and Me is playing near me in a few weeks, and they are gonna be performing Parallax II: Future Sequence in its entirety. I would be crazy not to go, that sounds so awesome, plus the tickets aren't that expensive. Only like $21 or something.

If it wasn't for the feedback, I'd go crazy over it as well. Extremely solid release nonetheless

HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHY DIDN'T I START LISTENING TO THIS ALBUM EARLIER???

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE REC ME THIS??

my entire life is starting to make sense now

I'm listening to The Great Misdirect right now, I never really gave it a proper listen. I was listening to The Silent Circus again, and I think the vocals are a teensy bit too harsh for me, so maybe I will like The Great Misdirect better, I'm not sure. I remember listening to the song "Obfuscation" a few times before and I couldn't really get into it, but maybe it will be different this time. I'm on the first song right now, so far, it kinda reminds me of Colors, so that's a good sign.

Allagaeon's pretty sweet. Not sure if I'd group 'em with melodeath like Scar Symmetry, but they're definitely melodically motivated. Nonetheless, good music.

YOU'RE PLAYING GOD IN THE NAME OF GOD FOR THE LOVE OF GODDDDDD

Or just completely disregard all the times me and Treeboy have posted that one why don't you?

They have the same guitarist do the rhythm and lead parts live, which is pretty fantastic if you ask me.

I apologize for my lack of presence on this thread lately, I've been busy listening to a lot non-metal (mostly emo) stuff. Anyways, right now I'm listening Morbid, AKA the band Dead was in before he joined Mayhem.

Awesome stuff.

VoM are okay I guess, not bad for a deathcore band.

Have you tried Cynic?

I'm not really a fan of deathcore, but VoM along with Rings of Saturn are some of the better deathcore bands.

I never got into Rings of Saturn their music doesn't do much for me, have you checked out VoM's full album yet? It''s really worth giving a shot if you haven't already.

I don't know why but whenever I listen to a metal song... or just any song in general, I always pay attention to the drums. :okiedokielokie:

Nicko is awesome!

So earlier in the week I listen to a TDWP album, it was decent at it's best, definitely better than the other scene-core bands out there, but still nothing to get all excited over. Their vocalist wasn't the best, but that's the only major criticism I can make against these guys.

I've been listening to some more Young and In The Way lately.

They've got a pretty laid back feel, I can just kind of zone out while I'm doing something with them on.

Commie thrash, fuck yeah!

It is sad as hell that the Youtube video actually sounds better than the files on my computer.  Even sadder that they're lossless files and they were the only ones available.  If I can ever score a copy of this on LP I'm ripping it.

Though, considering it's low-budget commie thrash to begin with, there may not be much of an increase.

Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.
