Here's a kick ass song I haven't heard from in a while by a kick ass band, with a kick ass video, album and a kick ass snare intro.

If you couldn't tell, its kickass!

You know what? I have a few things to say about this.

A ) Normally I like my metal more clean (if you know what I mean) but this song really drew me in. Maybe because it was a cover of a song I already knew? I dunno. I really liked it regardless.

B ) That growling is actually some of the best growling I've heard in a long while.

C ) I actually love the sound of the solo even MORE in this song than I do the original. I dunno what it is but the solo in this version is amazing the way it combines multiple chords like that.

I'm gonna say overall I like BTBAM's version more actually despite the fact that it's not as clean as the Metallica version. I don't headbang throughout an entire Metallica song ever, usually during solos I'll air guitar and sometimes headbang during a riff or two but the BTBAM version had me headbanging throughout and it almost sounded like it was gonna blast my earphones into not working but man was it worth it. Badass/10

I would recommend that entire album, then. BTBAM's The Anatomy Of is a full cover album, covering bands from Metallica to Pink Floyd, from Motley Crue to Soundgarden. It's my favorite of theirs, and that's saying a lot, since they are one of the few bands I've actually bought every album from, from the self-titled to the new Hypersleep Paralax EP.

So I think I decided that "...And Justice For All" is officially my favorite Metallica album

http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WdYt9VkVek

I've only heard this, Death Magnetic, about half of Master of Puppets and a few other songs here and there thanks to the S&M album but I think I'll have to agree although there are a couple off of Death Magnetic I like as much as Blackened and Frayed Ends of Sanity like My Apocalypse, Judas Kiss and when I'm in the mood for it Unforgiven 3 and That Was Just Your Life.

Reminds me though that I haven't heard Orion in forever. I should listen to that again, it's my favorite instrumental from them I think.

I really liked the idea of the S&M album and I wish they did more or other bands did something similar.

I'll have to check them out for sure. So I've added Coroner and now BTBAM to my list of bands to check out on top of still needing to buy the other Skeletonwitch albums and the new Disturbed album with the bonus songs on it.

I love Death Magnetic, I would say it's my third favorite album.

That's definitely one of my favorite Metallica songs ever. It's amazing!!!

BTBAM to my list of bands to check out

Just to save some time, here's some of their older/some of my favorite stuff. It's a bit grindy in the first part, but they break into jazz solos and it give me all the feels.

Can anyone tell me what everyone hated about the St. Anger album? I've never heard anything from it but apparently a lot of people hated it.

The drums sounded like garbage and half the album sounded like a bad Slipknot attempt. It wasn't a Metallica album.

The fact that it was a failed attempt at sounding raw and heavy like they did in 81? Most likely.

I'll have to check them out for sure. So I've added Coroner-

Stopping you there. You don't wanna know how much Coroner albums cost.

Sure I do, if I like something there is no limit to how much I will spend on it if I have to. If I want something, I will spend big bucks on it if I don't have a choice for cheaper stuff. :P

1 album - over $100. No More Color's almost 200$ fucking dollars! I've heard some rumors that they might be re-releasing their discography, and when they do... all my money. Gone.

I'd be all over it if they did but even if they don't I would still spend the money for it. Like I said: I will go to any lengths to get something I want as far as media and entertainment goes.

In that case, you are fucking nuts. Commendable though. Someone go critique this performance.

John Kevill, in a magician's costume, singing Motorhead. Bloody sweet.

Most I've ever paid for an album is $120, because I loaned the band 100 to help record and paid full price when it came out.

Loved Thrown Into Chaos. If you've seen the Ocellus teaser I've thrown up here before, it was some of those same members.

Not many songs make me do my bobbing headbang. I have three kinds of headbangs:

1) Normal headbanging where I bang to the beat consistently.

2) Super hardcore headbanging for the truly fast and hardcore songs/solos that I just can't not do this type for

3) Bobbing headbang, the kind of headbang where you bob with the beat but at a slower pace and it looks like my head is bobbing like one of those bobbing cranes. This doesn't happen often at all, not many songs have a beat unique enough to make me do that. This song achieved that.

I gotta admit I liked when he started singing rather than growling, it was creepy but almost felt like a lullaby at the same time. Really liked that.

Proud of it, my friend. I live my life for entertainment. Everything else is a means to an end to further entertain myself.

That was a fairly satisfactory cover of We Are The Road Crew. Only reason I know that song is because of Brutal Legend but I definitely like it though I think Motorhead's vocals fit better with the song.

Funny. I discovered Back At The Funny Farm through Brutal Legend. Also, there's a Three Inches of Blood AND a Coroner song in Brutal Legend, in case you didn't know.

More ear sex from BTBAM, Rare.

Jump on this. Starts classic, goes into a bit of heavy, another Jazz feel, but back into a classic metal progression.

Oh I know. I have nearly the whole soundtrack unlocked in my main file of BL. That's probably where I've heard the Coroner songs I know but I don't remember what they were. Gonna have to listen to it again to remember.

3IoB's Deadly Sinners is probably my favorite song on all of BL's soundtrack. :P

Jazz on electric guitar = amazing.

You wanna know how I learned that I love metal? I used to listen to things like Nsync and Backstreet Boys and I always skipped to the faster songs. Whenever they played a slow song on the pop stations I listened to like KISS FM 106.1 I would ignore them. I specifically waited to listen to songs like Headstrong by Trapt or Numb by Linkin Park. I know they aren't metal but that was basically the introduction of how I got into faster music and it eventually lead me to metal when I was unsatisfied with all of the slow crap out there.

Not that I don't like or hate any of the music that is slow or anything and I'm certainly still a fan of Nsync and the like, but metal will always be my genre of choice for eternity.

I won't lie... I grew to like N'Sync.

I have a tendency to like anything with a halfway decent beat to it. Nsync had that at least, especially with songs like Dirty Pop, Space Cowboys, Bring In Da Noise and Game Over.

Lmao, there should be more metal songs about mundane things like this, just for pure comedy's sake.
