I think I'll upload a few albums onto my laptop before heading off to bed.

FUCK BED.

Also, you don't live too far outside my time zone, you're only an hour ahead. Neat.

Toronto, you said?

Born and raised

My dad was considering a transfer up there. This gives me more reason to push him in that direction.

It almost kills me that no one else has a song to dedicate to ex's. Do you guys just have that good of a relationship with them that rage isn't needed? If so, I'm jelly.

Never had a girl. Closest one I could think of was an sweet immigrant from Malaysia, and because I was laughing stock #1 at my middle school, I pussied out and said my final words to her (she was moving away) before heading home after graduation - didn't make any sort of move. Personally, I'm kinda jealous of those who've experienced good and bad relationships - allows you to have experience even if it hurts.

I do have songs dedicated to those who can go fuck themselves. Because I got quite a few.

Mainly this.

Oh, my boy.

You're going to have to PM me for details, because there are things I'll trust you with, but not the rest of the 5000 randoms here.

But I will let you know the bullshit.

These verses, my vengeance.

5000 randoms? (Checks total members) Wow... almost 5300. Damn. And looking at the lyrics sheet, those are pretty heavy verses.

Techie Death/Thrash with AC/DC/Annihilator esque solos. Odd, but I like it.

I approve of that.

This feels completely relevant with Misery Signals.

There is a big divide between those who like the old vocalist vs. the new.

That's one of my favorites from the old. This is one of my favorites from the new.

Don't get me wrong, Misery Signals is an amazing band regardless of which of the two are singing, but which do you prefer?

To be honest, I like the new vocalist a bit better. The old vocalist has a bit more of a frantic, pissed off tint to his... growling (I think its called) making the song a little more authentic, but I like my vocalists to have some depth when doing growls, and the new guy does it well, although he does come off as a bit... steady. Like... he doesn't FEEL fluid enough when you listen to him, unlike the old vocalist who has some room to make you feel his lyrics - if that makes any sense.

Can't get anymore 90's than this.

It does. But if there's a song to make you change your opinion, it's this one.

Not just the lyrics (which are about his best friend dying in a tour van accident), but the guitar tone at the end and the way the song curves around what he's saying. It's absolutely beautiful, in my opinion.

Now THAT'S what I mean. This is where the animation of his vocals make his lyrics come to life. If it's near and dear to him, it makes the vocalist shine much more than ever Evile's In Memoriam, Megadeth's In My Darkest Hour, Annihlator's Holding On). Very beautiful, top notch. I'd say now he's about even with the new guy.

One of my more favourite works from Padden - however, the intro/main riff sounds a bit similar to King of the Kill, which I'm not too impressed about. Good track though.

Also, its 4 in the fucking morning. Wat.

Way to be, early bird.

Here's some more, with one of my favorite lines from new vocalist...

"We're just rehearsing who we think we are."

Hopefully this doesn't bite me in the ass today.

Anyway, I'm uploading my Dream Theater albums. I think I'm getting over my Nine Degrees of Portnoy Turbulence... here's two of my favourites from my favourite album, Six Degrees.

Both long songs, so if you decide to listen, I suggest during times where you can spare it, so I'd recommend the first video. On record, The Great Debate was supposed to be called Conflict At Ground Zero, and the song that followed it, Disappear was supposed to be called Move On. Then they changed it. Why?

9/11. Funny, but in a dark, twisted sense.

Edit: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! My laptop isn't recognizing The Great Debate or Disappear! Now I has a massive sad. :(

I have the album, but I have to disagree.

Best Dream Theater came from Metropolis pt 2.

The way the entire album put itself together was amazing.

Baah, another Metropolis fan! I could never get into Metropolis Pt. 1, which is why I'm so hesistant about the album and haven't picked this one up yet. Parts of that album appear in a DBZ film though, for more useless trivia. The History of Trunks to be exact.

I haven't heard anything off that album. After pt 2 came... shit, in my opinion.

Welp, that's what you get when the founder and the co-founder get together on a night that no one posts.

Now, here's all three Unforgiven's, because fuck it.

If it's heavy, it's gotta be REALLY heavy, IMO. One of my all time favorites is this little bit of wisdom from Slipknot:

Eh, I don't think Slipknot is THAT heavy... But if you like the sound of Slipknot, then I'd recommend some early Mudvayne.

Mudvayne is another favorite of mine. I like how they included some of their early demos in the "For the People..." compilation.
