Fall of Andalasia OOC:http://media-cache-a...1177b9878e5.jpg

Powers(if any):
Pyromancer: Eleanor is a natural fire Mage - a master of her art. She can conjure, command and even breath life into fire. Such control extends even to being able to order fire to not burn her - a favourite trick of hers which allows her to fashion jewellery from nothing but flames.

Familiar: Eleanor has a curious pet - a fire elemental by the name of Nef.

Nef is a small, minor elemental which takes the form of a tiny, limbless dragon (or Wyrm), no longer than a forearm. Nef is made of fire - and as such can easily cause a nasty burn - though usually keeps to a low enough temperature to not start setting fires everywhere he goes: a heat best described as 'uncomfortably warm' rather than actually burning hot.

Nef can be summoned and dismissed, but is generally more of a companion than a guard - Eleanor is quite capable of defending herself.

Captain London

Age: ???
Country: Black Tusk Port, Ka'taan
Descriptionimg-2903504-1-Sketch28119134.png
Personality: Quick-witted, sharp-tongued and well versed in the art of deception. Sarcastic by nature but never one to be taken lightly. London is no push-over or simpleton but is still friendly overall. Fiercely loyal to her crew; sometimes putting their needs above hers. She loves men, women and anything in between. As long as you're fun.

I've a character I'd like to bring - a guest aboard the ship if you like: simply paying with her money and magic to be taken along for the experience.

I've actually thought of two, but lets see if I have the free time to keep up with one first of all :)

Name: Eleanor Fletcher

Age: 24

Country: Traveller - no fixed location.

Occupation/Class: Sorceress / Pyromaniac

Description: Tanned skin and thick, black hair, Eleanor has brown eyes flecked with marks of a startlingly vibrant orange colour. She has an average figure and hight, is not particularly athletic or toned and has an immaculately clear complexion.

Personality: Hotheaded and outspoken, Eleanor has an opinion on everything and will be the first to voice it, given the chance. She has a fighting spirit and won't even hesitate to stand up to others that are twice her size: she just doesn't know when to give up. With a strong moral compass and sense of self preservation, she is an idealist who always believes in doing everything in her ability to help anyone and everyone.

Eleanor has a powerful pyromania - she adores fire more than almost anything. Passionate and unpredictable, beautiful and dangerous: she models herself off it.

Bio: Eleanor was always a little unstable to the point that it came as a relief to her parents when she discovered her magical abilities: giving her a medium to exercise some form of self control. She grew up well - eventually leaving home to wander the world and 'find herself', not content with living in a small fishing village for her entire life.

She joined a Mage movement (or 'cult' as it would later be known) at the age of seventeen, before turning on them two years later when their objectives shifted to wanting to mount a full-scale attack on the order of the witch hunters - something she considered suicide. Held captive by the cult, she was later freed accidentally as a hunter slaughtered them: taking a position by his side to help put an end to the madness.

Over time, they came to appreciate each others company.

It wasn't to last - in order to save her partners life, she had to give the appearance of betraying him. Adrass was left crushed and believing his love to be both dead and a traitorous deceiver, while Eleanor fled into the world, alone again as a wandering sorceress.

Allegiance: Nothing more or less than doing what she considers 'right'. Note that 'right' is a relative term...

Weapon/Equipment: A long, flowing red dress, with a slit down the left leg. Embellished with gold thread.

Several pieces of jewellery, mostly gold and ruby. She has grown accustomed to losing things, so enchants these as necessary to give her a conduit for visiting spells - at the time of the RP, she will by focusing magic through an enchanted broach.

What's a Quatermaster?

Perhaps you've already gone and looked this up on your own, but what a Quartermaster actually is, is the member of the crew who is in charge of managing and distributing supplies. This may also include the acquisition of supplies, or that might be the captain's job. Depends on the ship. Basically, the Quartermaster makes sure everybody has what they need and nobody takes more than they're supposed to. Things like that. Understand?

...I want so badly to make a "what's a paladin?" reference, but odds are nobody would get it.

@@RunsWithSquirlz,

Speaking of which, is this (the Thread) a pirate ship? I'm rather unclear on that. Because I'm probably going to have to adjust my character slightly more depending on the answer.

...Forget it. I'm an idiot. Also, character sheet incoming.

Name: Marcus

Gender: Male

Age: 28

Country: Lives where ever he is needed

Occupation/Class: Assassin

Description: A bit pale like most assassins, due wearing his armor most of the time. Stands at six feet, high, has an athletic and toned build, with a slim figure. Black hair and brown eyes.

Personality: He will talk and is overall friendly with others, but at the same time he can become very hostile when threatened. His moral compass is very broken, but when he revives a contract of some sort he sees it to the end. He is also quite good with building things going as far as successfully copying a blade design that another assassin named Indicus showed him years ago, along with other prototypes of different weapons.

Marcus enjoys the heat battle, when in battle his demeanor is cold. As an assassin he dose not believe in honor, using dirty tricks and otherwise pressing his every advantage including killing a enemy from behind, killing his foes quickly and efficiently but he can still hold his own in extended conflict.

Bio: Marcus, grew up as an orphan on the streets in the capital of Illia, at the age of ten he was a pretty good thief never getting spotted in no small part to having shadow magic that he learned how to do a few things with it after stealing a book on it at the age of eight the same year when he found out he had it.

He was eleven when he tried to pick pocket a strange man in hooded armor with a cowl around his face, as soon as Marcus cloaked himself in shadows and was about to take the mans coin purse but the man turned around and said, "Hello there child, I have been watching you for a time, and I must say your ability for one without formal training is impressive, and so is your sneaking, I am part of a group that takes in those like you, and trains them to be better. Do you want to join?"

Marcus nodded after the initial fear, he was surprised that the man did not yell or attack him. He was also happy that he had the possibility to have a home with a guaranteed source of food and water.

Since that day Marcus became very good in his studies, and did very well on his initiation contract that he received at the age of twenty. Now eight years later one of the assassins betrayed the guild, bringing guards to kill many of the members of one of the smaller branches, including his former mentor and father figure. He was tasked with hunting the assassin rouge known as John Case.

Following a rumor he found that John is now a major player in the Merchant Militia, and that a woman known as Captain London has had run ins with the group, and even a reason to have a hatred for them, better yet she was looking for a crew.

(Will be there to fend off boarding parties and fill in other needed positions on the ship.)

Allegiance: Owes loyalty to the Assassins Guild alone.

Weapons/Equipment: Daggers (Normal and throwing) Bow and arrows, Experimental weapons, Collapsible blade (with a button to collapse and extend the blade instead of just flipping it like the original but still can be flipped if the button dose not work correctly)

Powers: Skilled in Shadow magic, and limited skill in other types of magic.

(Will change if needed this character will take a bigger role in this RP then Indicus in the other one.)

So this character sheet is subject to change as far as minor details and possibly some parts of the backstory, but I wanted to get something up tonight before I forget. As I said before, I'd like to be first mate.

Name: Edward Glade

Age: 22

Country: Defected from Illia several years ago. He is no longer welcome there.

Occupation/Class: Soldier and (hopefully) first mate

Description: Tall and lean. His body is toned from constant training and has virtually no fat on it. Has brown hair and sharp facial features. Eyes are green. Always seems to be on the lookout.

Personality: Discipline, loyalty, and duty are his guiding principles. He dedicates himself to training his body for combat and generally to being the ultimate soldier. He always follow orders to the letter and expects others to do the same. While he realizes his discipline and dedication are exceptional, he expects a certain level of discipline and devotion from others as well. He generally doesn't show much emotion. However, his personality completely changes around women. Having grown up without a mother and spent most of his life in military institutions, he isn't used to dealing with women. Generally, if they don't act differently, he tries to treat them like men, however, if they act flirtatious or exceptionally feminine in any way he often becomes flustered and uncomfortable, and his normal confidence and lack of emotion vanish. As a result, it's not uncommon for him to be teased by women. It doesn't help that he's generally considered very attractive, and more bold women sometimes hit on him.

Bio: Raised by a very strict father, he always had exceptional discipline. He began military training at a young age when his talent, discipline, and sense of duty made his future as a soldier obvious. However, after serving in the military for a while, he began to question his country. While he wanted to believe in it, he saw poverty and injustice that he couldn't ignore. Eventually he deserted from the military, leaving behind only a letter explaining that he could no longer stand to support a government that wouldn't look after it's people. He has since been looking for a master worth serving, and he believes London may be just that.

Allegiance: Formerly incredibly loyal to Illia, before he came to the realization that they were no longer deserving of his loyalty. Now he serves whoever he believes worthy, and does so with unwavering loyalty.

Weapon/Equipment: A rapier. That's all he really needs. He also wears a thick leather jacket for protection, but mostly he counts on not letting his opponents land a solid hit in the first place.

Powers(if any): Technically none. However, he's a master swordsman. Like, almost unnaturally good. Most people wouldn't even be able to touch him if he was serious. There's pretty much no way he'll lose in a fair fight. However, his biggest weakness in this regard is that he has very little experience dealing with magic, and will be at a significant disadvantage against any magic-using opponent.

Name: Rondra

Age: 16

Country: Unknown

Occupation/Class: Bomb master and Pyromaniac

Description: Skinny, brown hair tied up into two pigtails, brown eyes with a tint of red, wearing a long sleeved vest with multiply pockets where she holds her ingredients, Leather pants with multiply bombs strapped to them, always wearing goggles, finger-less gloves and knee-high boots.

Personality: Child at heart, while she's 16 she acts like a six year old child. The craziest fire-mage you're ever met no one knows what shes thinking, all she wants (like any child) is to have fun, Short-tempered with a shot attention spam. She also easily distracted and will sometimes not go with the plan.

Weapon/Equipment: Smoke bombs, regular bombs, scatter bombs (they explode into tinier bombs), she is a master bomb maker and if she can think a bomb she can probably make it, she also loves guns and has two strapped to her waist one fires a grappling hook, while the other is a regular gun.

Powers(if any): She is a very deadly fire-mage and can't be burned, what makes her dangerous is she thinks like a child but that is also her weakness.

Bio: Not much is known about her past and what lead her to be who she is, and when ever asks she always tells a different story.

Allegiance: who ever is fun.

Name: Blake Cathus

Age: 20

Country: Unkown

Occupation/Class: Gardener and Master Bō User (Staff fighter)

Description: Blake has shaggy, shoulder length brown hair. He has milky white eyes but that is only because he's blind. He usually wears a green tunic with a yellow vine insignia on the right side. He also wears brown slacks and usually carries a staff. He doesn't wear shoes of any kind as he feels it that shoes hinder him from 'seeing' the world around him./b]

Personality: Blake has a rather cynical outlook on life in general and won't laugh at jokes, even if they're genuinely funny. He would stare blankly at anyone that speaks to him but he would usually respond in a calm way. People aren't really used to dealing with blind, capable people so they generally give him a wide berth whenever he walks down the road.

Bio: Blake was born in a fishing village. He was born blind and once he was old enough, tossed out of his family and on to the streets. Not many people like blind people and his family was no exception even though they were family. Over time, he fended for himself and developed a heightened sense of hearing, touch, smell and taste. He used his heightened senses to keep away from guards and even stall keepers whenever he stole food. When Blake discovered he could control plants, he was about 16. He was running away from a stall keeper when he tripped and fell into a garden of poisonous plants.

Thinking it was a hiding place, Blake ran in further into the garden and when the keeper just walked away, Blake sighed in relief and walked back out. He didn't even realise it was a garden full of some of the known world's most poisonous plants. Blake's staff came into his possession when a random stranger walked up to him and presented him with it, saying that even blind people can do great things. The stranger then proceeded to teach him the ways of Bōjutsu or fighting with a stick. Blake became adept at this by the age of 19.

Allegiance: Himself, his Bōjutsu master, Agliy, and his pet hawk, Pluto.

Weapon/Equipment: A staff which is primarily used for walking but can also be used as a dangerous weapon. He sometimes wears armor over his tunic but finds that it weighs him down so he doesn't usually wear armor.

Powers(if any): Plant magick. He is able to make plants grow from any suitable material. Be it dirt, wood, water or even rock (Yes, even rocks have life on them even though said lives are infinitesimally small). He can create trees, flowers, vines, and even poisonous ones for his enemies. He can touch a poisonous plant and not have any ill effects from it.

Pet: Blake has a pet hawk named Pluto. Pluto and Blake met when Pluto flew down from the sky to try and get a worm for breakfast. Not knowing it was Blake practising his plant magick, Pluto pulled the shoot out and tried to eat it but it didn't tasted disgusting to the bird. After spitting out the shoot, Pluto cawed and slowly walked up to Blake, who was the only other living thing in the area, thinking he was a worm stealer. Blake heard the bird walk towards him and then take flight to try and peck him. In a panic, Blake lifted his arms up to shield himself and ended up hurting the poor bird with a sudden vine catch. Feeling sorry for it, Blake took care of the bird until he healed and they've been together ever since.

Add another women :yay:

Name: Mary-Anne (Goes only by Anne now)

Age: 27 (stopped aging a year ago)

Country: An'eport (pronounced Any-port ) Ka'taan

Occupation/Class: Sailor, Adventurer, Thief

Description: Wavy blonde hair cut short, deeply tanned skin, athletic body, white and easy smile, seafoam green eyes with a dead dispassionate stare.

Personality: Madness defines Anne. When caffeinated she is tolerable, even sometimes bubbly; otherwise she seems to have a deep angry rage against many things. She has a tendency to stare or to drift off into silence during conversation, she talks to her weapon (usually a dagger) often.

Bio: Mary-Anne hasn't had an easy life, being raised in a Ka'taan port is never easy but she survived. Eventually she even got out of the port and took to the sea like she had always belonged there, at age 12 she ended up on Captain London's ship Needle and served as the cabin girl to Captain London until she was 18. When she was 18 she meet Milo, a charismatic a Air Mage who could literally steal her breathe away and won her heart. For over 8 years they sailed the ocean first on a ship they shared and then on one they managed with a small crew, they travel the world plundering unexplored lands and raiding ancient ruins. It all ended after a particularly profitable haul... He took the gold and ship, he stranded her on an abandoned jungle island with absolutely nothing. But in the temple she found something they had missed, hidden in a sealed room behind stone walls she had beaten for months in mindless hate of the temple that had taken everything. It was an ancient rusted short sword, and when took it as a sign to end it all she opened her wrist with it; what she could never have known was the weapon held a sealed MALEVIAN. (A race regarded a myth, this world's devils. Legends are common but remain legends. Please don't recognize the weapon as anything more than unnatural). She sold the thing her eternal service for the guarantee that she might kill her once lover with her bare hands. Just over a year later here she is looking for work and the chance to find the man that spurned her.

Weapon/Equipment: Malevian Weapon, an intelligent pure evil spirit trapped in an inanimate object. It can shapeshift into any weapon (mimicry based off Anne's knowledge), most often a dagger for connivence.

Powers: Her powers come from the Malevian she made her deal with and sealed as it is she can only benefit from them when the weapon is on her person. It can give her an unnatural strength and speed, can numb her pains to nothing, can rapidly heal her wounds but the Malevian is cruel and lazy so it responds only as much as it wishes. Essentially however as long as she has the weapon she is ageless and deathless, so is Milo the air Mage because the deal is he must die by her bare hands. Without the weapon she is nothing more than a skilled sailor and fighter, skilled but human in all ways.

@@RunsWithSquirlz,

I don't know that it'll come to that, but if it gets to a point where there are far more women than men, I can add another character. I still have the one I almost added to the other RP. That's assuming you're okay with me having two characters, of course.

How would Blake act as Quartermaster?

Since Blake is cynical, he would have a natural distrust of others motives and if those motives prove true, then he would punish them accordingly, depending on the severity of the motive. He can keep track of things by feeling the weight of the ship, if it gets lighter or heavier. Since the ship is wood, he could feel the weight of it by sensing how much pain the dead wood is in. It may be dead, but he could still feel the latent life in it. As for back-talking the captain, then he would say what he feels is right if he doesn't agree with her decisions.

Aaaaand... here's my other character! I'd rather not use them both, at least to start: maybe just keep one in reserve while I see how much time I have to post and possibly bring the other in later if permitted... but here he is to look over!

Name: Arellion Wavebreaker

Age: 26

Country: None.

Occupation/Class: Swashbuckler / Duelist

Description: Tall, lean and with a mess of windswept blond hair, Arellion sports a perpetual cocky grin and foppish demeanour. He has blue eyes and wears expensive, brightly coloured clothing.

Personality: A classic gentleman rogue by day, Arellion is forward, well spoken and enjoys company, conflict and coin - in that order.

A womaniser by nature, though he is always (mostly) respectful, even if he doesn't specifically act like it - he knows the type of cliches that he resembles and takes great pride in acting up to them.

He is a keen dualist and very quick with a sword, but his real talent lies in his resourcefulness - the world around him becomes a weapon and his fists are more of a weapon than any blade he might use.

Bio: Born at sea, Arellion was raised around constant drunkenness, comradely and bloodshed. He grew to live the sea and everything about it, but wanted more than to simply sail with pirates: he loved to fight but lacked the bloodthirsty disregard for life. Instead, he became an escort - a bodyguard and mercenary.

Arellion has... something of a long standing drinking problem. He grew accustomed to nightly brawls and eventually learned to react instinctively while under the influence. He can fight when drunk, but looses all inhibition and becomes even more forward (if that is even possible).

Allegiance: Company, Conflict and Coin.

Weapon/Equipment: Ornate Rapier and Fine clothes.

Powers(if any):

Pugalist: Arellion is a skilled swordsman, but his real talent lies in his fits. He moves and dodges, weaves, blacks and strikes without even consciously doing so. He might not look particularly refined while doing so, but there is no doubt as to its efficiency.

When drinking, this becomes doubly so - he doesn't even think: just fights. Over, under, smash the chair over that guys head... If a bar brawl was a natural environment then Arellion would be a true force of nature.

Sea dog: Arellion is a keen sailor - acrobatic and completely without doubt in his actions. He knows life aboard boats far better than life on dry land. He is reckless and terrible as sticking to orders - tending to lose focus, get distracted or feel the need to show off.

Looks like nearly everyone else is here. I might just leave this RP alone then, might want to give some other people a chance to experience this world other than us "regulars."

I look forward to reading what these pirates  scoundrels  perfectly reasonable people have to offer.

"Q'sal, a singular, labyrinthine mind composed of a billion conflicting, paradoxical wills. Have you ever seen the swirling Aetherstorms in it's atmosphere? Smelled the shifting perfumes of intrigue upon it's people? Tasted the gluttonous banquets of ambition permeating from the Sorcerer-Technocrats? Heard the exquisite lies and thoughts of an unknowable population? No Slaaneshi pleasure I have indulged in comes close to that feeling, only in the embrace of Apotheosis could one aspire to find anything greater."
