Can Unicorn horns grow back?

I don't think horns are made from the same material as nails, but our inner bones instead, so, no, I doubt a horn would grow back if it's broken

Seeing as horn filing is a thing, the answer ought to be yes - horns do grow back with time, otherwise saloons/spas wouldn't offer procedures to shorten and reduce them.

I imagine it might not grow back if you lost the "root" of the horn (kinda like with nails), but considering it's atached to your forehead, horn growth is probably least of your worries if the root gets yanked out and you are left with a hole in your skull.

IRL, deer shed their horns every year & grow a new one.  Unicorns do not seem to do that.  Given that the average EQ unicorn is amazingly ignorant of non ponies, they might be surprised to see a deer lose a horn & have one later.
