Priestess halted her movements. She was quiet for a moment, considering her next action. "...Stand...down." All the drones looked to her, then to each other. She may be the second in command, but she still wasn't a Queen, and her orders could still be questioned. "Stand down. But keep on guard. Most importantly, keep your Queen and her children safe. Get yourselves and them out of here if need be." She returned her attention to Luna. "Be warned. Cross us... cross me... and not only will there not be enough of you remaining for the guard to investigate, there won't be a royal guard left to launch one." She forced herself down to the ground though the spell. "Your move, regent."

Dyr slowly got back up, though very slowly. "I have no intention of staying for long but that Prospector is unexpectedly more slippery that I first thought. I guess I don't have much of a choice..."

 

She then closed her eyes and held up a white rose that was hidden among the red. She started to chant in a language that was unknown and the flower was started to flash and glow while the air and earth around the two of you started to move violently, causing a small gale and a minor earthquake.

 

"Now... Sole, with this white flower, I propose a contract. One of mutual benefit and trust. I, Dyr, propose that we create a connection of our souls. I am willing to accept conditions if you have them, speak and or forever hold your peace." Dyr said in a formal way, very different from her normal way of speaking but it is part of the spell.

 

The flower had released an orb of light from its center and was connected to the both of our hearts though a strain of light.

Syo was just watching the whole thing from the corner and had silently pulled out a large bullhorn in case anyone was going to start a war. After seeing the two of them somewhat making up, Syo sighed.

 

"Oh thank goodness, now I don't need to use this big thing. Let me just go over there to put it back." Syo said as she comically carried the extremely large (to her) bullhorn past the tense situation and into the dark corner where she set down her bag and started to stuff the bullhorn back into it. "Oh, in case you were wondering what I intended to do with this... I was going to blow everyone's eardrum's out if it got to it."

Barrel replied to Frost with absolute no surprise in his tone, "Hey mate, how ya goin?"

 

Barrel had a quick thought in his head, The actual... err... whats the word I am looking for...? Eh I dunno, But the actual something is a special some pony? Some pony important he must be then eh?

 

Meanwhile....

 

"Ahh there we are... I have finally found you.... Barrel. After many years of looking for you." Edward said to himself as he came out of the rift near the three ponies unnoticed. "It's time to set things right..." Edward thought as he readied his tazer.

 

Edward came from out the bushes and tazerd Barrel to the ground. Barrel couldn't move at all.

 

Edward looked up at the other two ponies, "I am so sorry, I really have no time to explain. I have a universe to set right and I need Barrel to help save it. Thank you, and goodbye." He said as he dragged Barrel into the rift and closed it off.

Seamore left the room again, going back to his sleeping bag in the other room. Luna lowered the spell, except she did not release her hold on Serenade. "This will only be for a moment, I must ensure that they feel safe while I'm gone. I won't take long.," she said, then teleported away. She returned shortly after with a purple unicorn with blonde hair wearing light blue scrubs and a head mirror, then she released the siren from the spell. "I assume this is the patient?" the unicorn to Luna, looking over toward Priestess with a friendly smile. He walked over and put his hoof on the stick, not moving it at all. When he did, his disguise dropped, revealing him to be a fairly average looking, though slightly taller than average black changeling with orange eyes and the same orange 'mane,' tail, and wings as well as the same red-orange back piece as the form that Charlie had chosen, although none here would be aware of that. "Interesting. It's a good thing you chose me to do this Luna, I've been trained to work with Everwood, but you already new that, right?" Now directing his attention back to Priestess, he began asking questions, one at a time, waiting for a response each time. "Can you feel your rear paws? How about the tip of your tail? Have you been coughing up blood?"

As the chaos erupted around them, and Dyr spoke the formal request for a contract, Sole couldn't help but grin. This was so cool. "No conditions. You need my help to stay in this dimension, and I need your help to track down that Prospector guy. Dyr, I agree to your contract." He stated confidently. "Who knows" he added "we might even become good friends after this"

Frosty stared in horror as Barrel got tazed. Once the mysterious pony was gone, he exclaimed: "...What. Was. THAT?!"

He shook his head, and decided that whatever was going on, it probably wouldn't have any effect on him. He calmed down a bit.

He suddenly realized that he had no idea what Summer and Blitz were going to, so he asked Summer what was going on: "So...What were you guys doing before...all this? Because I have no idea what's actually going on. I just wanted to know what the fancy lights were about."

Last thought about saying something when the other Changeling suddenly got there, teleported by her majesty, but it wasn't worth it. There were a stand-still right now, with both sides ready to duke it out from the sound of things - especially Priestess - and reassuring the vixen that if she sent any drones to kill her they would not return, or ask Princess Luna why she had so easy access to a Changeling, was not going to do anything good here.

 

Frankly, she'd have followed Seamore now into the other room to make sure there was some guard over him if it wasn't for said threat that made her sure she had to stay here. Just in case something started to spark a fire.

 

"It can do that?"

 

Omen - not really noticing the tension and having seen that the bug-ponies spoke already so she couldn't ask them questions - had wandered over to Syo after being released of the ice spell. She didn't think to ask how Syo could talk, as it seemed like if the large cat over there could then it was normal enough, but she did wonder about the item the cat had stood with. A horn, that she had said could blow out eardrums.

 

While she didn't know or think about if it would work on her, the item still caught her curiosity. Her kind were always interested in stuff, and even a thing as simple as a feather could take them in sometimes, depending on if they could remember the kind of feather, or if tehey had even seen one at all before.

 

In this case, Omen had seen horns before, but not like this, and not what could do as Syo said, so she had wandered across the figuratively smoking battlefield and gone over to ask, and perhaps see it a bit more. Though, it would be anypony's guess how Syo would react to the silent *pony* standing over her and looking down at her whilst the whispering words went through her mind.

Sapphire had been strolling around, searching for new roots and plants to add to her collection, as she so often does. It had been a generally normal afternoon before she suddenly stumbled onto somepony stuck in the brush.She approached cautiously, not sure what to make of the situation. 

 

"H-hello..?" she said raising her eyebrows and cocking her head.

It took a little after that, but eventually Blitz managed to wriggle herself free of the bush she was stuck in and pop around to look at the originator of the voice she had just heard. Thankfully it was not her tail included this time, as it was usually the bulbous thing that had the hardest time getting released from the branches. Likely because it was larger than her mane so there were more to cling to. Although getting her bag with her out made up for that time currently, and she wasn't gonna leave her salvaged parts behind like that.

 

"Oh hey, who're you? I'm Blitz Boom, I'm going to the crater. Are you here for the crater too? Got lost? Hunted by wolves? Looking for fireworks?"

 

The stream of questions from the enthusiastic foal might not seem like it made a lot of sense, but those were the reasons she usually heard when other ponies were out in the woods and she ran into them. Or well, like with now, where said ponies ran into her.

Sapphire smiled softly, ears laying back at the onslaught of questions. "No, no, none of that." she said.

 

"I'm an alchemist- My name is Sapphire Snow." 

 

Sapphire nudged her saddle bag open, showing a few plants she had collected so far. "I'm out collecting various ingredients for.. something.." Her voice trailed off as she suddenly recalled one of Blitz's questions.

 

"What's the "crater"?" she asked. "And why are you going there?"

 

"If you don't mind my asking..." she tacked on at the end.

To the first question, priestess stood up on her hind paws, bent over back wards, and preceded to cartwheel onto her front paws and back to a standing position. She then looked over to her tail, curled it in front of her, the whipped it across the floor in front of her, causing a thin gash in the stone. "As for the third question. Hmmm." She pondered. "No. But I've been tasting strawberries for 3 hours. Does that count?"

"Heeey, I know that one. I use it for colour."

 

Truth be told, she used a Lot of plants out here, but the shape of one of the plants Sapphire had shown had been pretty telltale, especially with the colour it had. A few others she had seen that looked sorta like it, but not close enough to make her think it was Actually something else.

 

Blitz visibly bounced in place with an increasing grin on her face at Sapphire over that. it wasn't that many besides Zecora that was going for the same plants she did out here, and it was fun to see others taking an interest in the same things, even though she wasn't sure what an alchemist was. Was that another word for potion-maker?

 

"What's a- No, crater, right. I'm going to the crater with new friend and new, new friend to show them were I landed a month ago. Then we were gonna do something in Ponyville, and I was gonna show them some explosives and Yay!"

 

More or less how it was, even though now that she thought about it... Barrel and Summer wasn't here yet. Had they gotten lost?

Sapphire's smile brightened a bit as Blitz described one of the plants she had gathered. She always loved when otherponies had knowledge about the things she was most passionate about. 

 

"You say you're going to end up in Ponyville? Is that right?" 

 

Ponyville was her initial destination, but she couldn't resist the forest and the opportunity to collect plants. The crater had peaked her curiosity though and she wanted to tag along.. She wasn't sure how to ask exactly. 

 

"I'm kind of... looking to go to Ponyville myself." she said, hoping she could get an invite to tag along.

"If you're tasting strawberries I would assume that the tree this branch came from exploded? It must have, and fairly recently, too. That's actually good, the branch would therefore be charged with positive magic energy, which can help heal the wound. The procedure will be a bit simpler than I expected," the changeling said while inspecting the wound, pushing the fur out of his way using telekinesis and pulling the head mirror over his eye a couple times to get a closer look. "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Doctor Miles Xeno, but you can just call me Doctor Xeno." Luna just watched the doctor go about his business while she waited to either help if needed or bring him back to where she had brought him from.

"Oh that reminds me. Someling bring me my kids!" A drone buzzed over carrying the saddle baskets in maw and gently setting them next to Priestess. "Arigato." She undid the latch and peered inside. "How you hanging in there, Pete?"

Damon the human came out from the rift just outside of what was Barrel's home. "Alright Barrel, where are you...?" He pondered as he burst through the back door of the tiny, smelly garage. Pointing his double barrel shotgun infront of him, checking corners. As soon as Damon realised he wasn't there, he lowered the gun. 

 

"ARRGHH..." Damon was quite frustrated but he knew he had to keep going. He took out his mini recorder and began to say... "Attempt number... ergh I have lost count.  Still no sign of Barrel... But I think he was close this time. I can... smell it. Erghh it reeaks in here. I'll update when I can."

 

Damon looked around and found a weapon of interest, The Wunderwaffe. "Barrel must of had a little memory left over to make the Wunderwaffe Dg2. I'll take it, it might come in handy for whatever may lie ahead." Damon picked up the weapon and put it on his back holster.

 

He went back outside and noticed a fresh trail leading outwards in the forest, Damon trailed the track and quickly hid behind the bushes as he spotted two of what seemed to be ponies. He didn't want to freak them out so he remained hidden.

Charlie continued to play with Brittle on the playground for what seemed like a whole day, though it would only be about an hour or two in the real world. Then Brittle's dream started to seem like it was fading away. Charlie walked over to Briar, leaving behind a copy of the little bat-filly he had been, which continued to play with Brittle. He changed back to his changeling form and explained to Briar, "It seems she is drifting out of the dream state. She's not waking up right now though, so don't worry. She'll probably drift back into the dream state in a while. But anyway, it's time for us to leave now." Charlie opened the door leading back into the hall again and waited for Briar to follow.

summer stared at barrel when all of this happened, but shook her head and said: 'i have no idea what that was, but let's just ignore it' and she turned around. she really wanted to go to blitz crater now. 'come' said summer to frosty as she walked from one color to an other. when the colors got closer she even didn't want to touch the normal grass anymore and jumped around like a little filly. then she saw blitz, she was talking to an other pony. 'hey blitz!' summer said and waved her hoof. summer was in a really happy mood now she had frosty with her. but she calmed herself down and walked calmly to blitz 'nice crater you have here' said summer 'and who's that new pony you are talking to? is she one of your ponyville friends?' summer asked, she was always happy to meet somepony new. as long as he or she was not to much older as summer was. but this pony looked okay. suddenly summer remembered what happened in the forest and said to blitz 'blitz, i want to introduce you to midnight frost, my special somepony, and don't ask where barrel is' and she smiled like nothing happened.

Blitz was about to say something when the sound of Summer behind her got her attention and she swung around, tripped over her own hooves and stumbled to the side, rolling a couple of times down in the small crater that looked like the sort that would be there if you uprooted a tree.

 

"Ehehehe, spinny."

 

It took her a few tries to get up right as she had gotten a bit dizzy, but when the world stopped moving she had more steadfast ground, picked up her bag, pushed in the right, metallic wing that had gotten spread out slightly, and looked up on the others.

 

"So Barrel gone, Midnight here? Hehe, okay. Hi Midnight!"

 

She waved at Summer's special somepony with a happy smile on her face before making her way out of the small crater she had rolled into. She did wonder a bit on the way where Barrel were, but not much. Ponies came and went out here all the time, so she had sorta gotten used to one just vanishing. Usually she saw them again later anyway, so no problems she guessed.

 

"This here's Sapphire Snow. She's an Ale... Alshy... She finds plants. Sorta like Zecora."

 

The word Alchemist hadn't stuck around enough to make her remember it completely, just a vague notion of how it was supposed to be said, and it kept changing around. Only thing she was sure off was that it started with an A.

 

"And this isn't the crater silly. It's just from a colour-bomb I tried and it sorta bounced around before exploding here. the crater is over there."

 

Blitz points in the direction behind her, where a couple of hedge-height bushes were covering the way. If they stuck their heads through it, they'd be able to see a scorched piee of ground, 5 meters deep and 15 meters wide, free of any vegetation. The trees that were still standing around it were either scorched, damaged, bend, or a combination of several of those terms. And though she had gathered all the metal and stuff she could back then, you could still see a few scraps in the trees, and an imprint of what looked like three large wings in different designs, though it were mostly outlines.

 

"You should've seen it when there was still metal all around. it looked sooo Cool. Hehe.

 

Oh, and Sapphire wanna know if she can come with us around. Can she? It's more fun when there's more."

Sapphire flinched as she saw Blitz take a tumble. She hurried over to where Blitz was, glancing at the new ponies that joined them. She gave a slight smile as Blitz easily brushed herself off from the fall and went back to her cheery self, greeting one of the new ponies as Midnight. She gave a small shy nod to them when Blitz introduced her. 

 

"An alchemist.." she tacked on quietly as Blitz described her occupation. She didn't even officially have that title, she just used it because she was hoping to officially claim it one day. She hoped to be tutored by Zecora and become her apprentice in due time, but for now, she just practiced her studies and collected all of these ingredients she could... Even the darker ones, which she admittedly dabbled in when she was just a foal and new to potion-making. 

 

Her ear pricked up as Blitz mentioned her tagging along.

 

"I promise not to be any trouble." she said, offering an innocent smile.

Briar had almost forgotten that this was a dream during the time that went by in the idyllic place before things started to feel odd around him, and Charlie said it was time to move on again.

 

Though it was a pity, Briar lifted himself from the ground and followed the changed shape of Charlie, the feeling of air going through holes in the body making him think that the spirit had chosen a Changeling form. Perhaps the one he had desired that the demon was going to shape? It was a good assumption but he wasn't sure.

 

As they left he stopped briefly before going through the door, hearing the laughter of the carefree foals who had resumed their playtime behind them unaware that they had even been there anymore, before picking up the pace and rejoining Charlie in the dreamhalls once more.

 

"Perhaps not the most productive time to spend, but I'm glad that we took the time for this in any case. And from the sound of things, you seemed to be happy with the time spent there too, yes?"

 

It was more a rhetorical question than anything, as they had both heard him giggling along during at least some of the games the little ones and him had played. Sure, it could just be living into things, but he had his doubts that it was this simple. If it was, why did they not leave sooner after all?

 

"That aside for a moment, is there further places we should wander towards, or shall we begin to approach our respective end goals, so to speak?"

Damon moved up quietly as he could to follow the others, it lead to even more ponies meeting up. This time there was a small, brightly coloured pony and a blue pony with a flower on its head. Damon listened in on what they said, wondering if they had any clues into Barrel's whereabouts. Two of them mentioned his name and he knew he was close to finding him. Damon had to know more, he then decided to follow them.

 

Damon then felt some heavy wind coming from behind him... Then a slight growl. He turned around and to his surprise it was a timber wolf, ready to attack Damon. "Oh lord please help me no..." Damon stated to himself as he froze up.

"'Someling'... I haven't heard that word for quite some time, not since I moved to Canterlot to further my studies in medicine and magical healing. It definitely brings back memories," he said remembering a time when he lived with his hive. "Anyway, is there something wrong with the child, too?" he asked, concerned for Pete's wellbeing.

"I wouldn't say it was entirely unproductive, she had a great dream she may be able to remember in the morning, one that should leave her feeling more refreshed when she wakes up. You should feel more well rested tomorrow, too. Your mind should be clearer as well, since you've been kept in a dream state so long. That's why some go to the Everwood grove to meditate in their dreams. Being outside your own dream forces you to remain in the dream state. It's only harmful if something forces you awake too quickly, and even then it just leaves you with a mild headache that only lasts an hour or two. But for now, I think it's best we return you to your dream," Charlie told Briar as he stepped out into the hall.

 

Just then, Seamore was leaving a dream which had Big Mac's cutie mark on the door, accompanied by another Everspirit in the form of a blue rabbit. "Oh, hi Charlie. I wasn't expecting to see you yet. I see you've chosen a Changeling as your dream form then?"

"Well, he was linked to his "father", speaking for him, well her,  while she was maintaining the disguise. Then little miss grand duchess of the flankhole confederacy went and bounced a point blank rainbow tree discharge straight to her face, scrambling the connection while Petey was still hooked up." She looked into the box and saw Petey softly whimpering with paws over his head, his two siblings laying next to him, trying to comfort him.  The downcast look on Priestess's face was unmistakable. *sigh* "Must feel like a bomb went off inside his head."

@@Seamore Sandwich, after the freeze spell cresent eyese began to hurt again as well he decided best to close them. feeling the blood of the changling he slashed he looked at it "sorry mate you know when training kicks in" he herd a huff from the now scared changling and herd his blood walk away saying something about batponys. Cresent shrugged hoping it'll work better then karma hitting him later....knowing his luck it will.
