Which headcanon do you dislike?

Oh. Well, I've seen several versions of how they died. Cart Crash, Rarity murdered them (Yes, I've seen that one...) eaten by timber wolves, I can't remember the others. Of course, they are usually ridiculous.

If Rainbow is attracted to Daring Do, then she's basically attracted to herself because Do is just a recolor of her. Wow...

To be fair Daring Doo does have a different personality than RD as seen in Daring Dont, but that is a funny observation lol

Personally I ship her with Applejack and/or Twilight but if Daring doo keeps getting reactions like that out of Rd than it may head into OTP territory.

The Vinyl and Octavia lesbian couple thing. We never really even see the two interact at large in the show, and unlike Lyra and Bonbon(who did a piano duet in EqG2) they did not interact at all. I just have no idea were the voctal ship came from, or why it is so popular.

i feel like alot of it is due to the cliche "odd couple" trope that you see. It just sounds like a set up to a really lame romantic comedy, "Shes a late night dj party animal, and she's a classy refined lady of the higher arts, but when they get together oh the shenanigans"

Dinky is the daughter of Derpy: While I do think it gives both depth, I never really saw Derpy as the greatest mother in the world. I prefer to see Derpy as your average mail carrier.

 

Derpy and Dr. Hooves as partners: Same reason as above.

 

Pinkie Pie has bad parents: We don't know if she has bad parents or not, but they certainly don't hate her. I prefer to see her parents as hard-working and exhausted rather than abusive. Should I also mention that in Cutie Mark Chronicles, Pinkie's parents loved the party Pinkie planned for them?

 

-Chysalis is just doing what she has to do to feed her people. She isn't evil.



If Chrysalis had a mustache, she would be twirling it constantly. She is so obviously evil, it baffles me when people try to make her some kind of tragic figure.

 

This. It's made clear in the show that Chrysalis is evil. I don't really like seeing obviously evil characters as tragic figures too.

Also true. I am hoping for more Rd and Daring moments in season five. Maybe Daring asks Dashy to have a little adventure with her.

 

As far as ships I have that are this side of canon, Cheerimac is touting a ton of evidence and I would not be surprised if they officially become an Item in season 5. Fluttercord has some pretty powerful backing as well.

Actually, my reasoning is not because her parents didn't show up. It's how she looks up to Rainbow Dash a lot and even sort of gets adopted as her sister. Rainbow said she would take Scootaloo under her wing, but I don't know how adoption works in Equestria.) 

 

 

 

For a headcanon I dislike: Fluttershy is transsexual. I mean I don't have a problem with X is transsexual headcanons usually (I'm guilty of them.), but people often show that Fluttershy is transsexual only because of her cutie mark. Yes, butterflies are a symbol of transsexuality. Transsexuality is not a special talent.  Would a homosexual character have a gay pride flag as a cutie mark? Well, if they are activists, then maybe.

Actually that was probably one of the only moments I found funny in FiW (the other being anything Sweetie bot, cause that was adorable) The rest was meh. Also they aren't related (in that version)...so its not *dum dum* creepy Edited October 4, 2014 by Buck Testa

The producers basically came out and said that Applejack's parents have died. That was the meaning of the two shooting stars seen in Apple Family Reunion. Hasbro didn't let them come out and say so in the episode and they haven't said anything about what exactly happened to them (nor should they, IMHO).

 

A headcanon I dislike is the notion that Twilight is interested in Flash Sentry primarily because his career and position parallels that of her brother, whom she is supposedly obsessed with. I know it's the internet, but seriously, where do these ideas come from?

I severely dislike this Lunar Republic vs Solar Empire nonsense. It simply has no basis in canon reality and is not interesting enough to have an alt hist head canon for it.

I tend to strongly dislike this idea that because Twilight is an alicorn that means that all of a sudden she is going to out live her friends, especially since their is no definite proof to back it up, AND furthermore if you want to get really nasty, their is actually proof to discredit it more than anything. Take for instance the fact that Cadence use to foalsit Twilight, she was shown in those flash backs to be much younger than she is currently is at the present time, in fact she actually appeared to look like an ordinary mare for the most part, other than the fact that she had wings and a horn. Now, get this, just because her appearance has changed a bit over time and she has become more skinny and slightly taller does not NOT mean that it actually had anything to do with Cadence becoming an alicorn. In fact the more likely scenario was that Cadence was actually fairly young herself and not yet fully grown.

 

 

 

 

Take this for instance, here Cadence appears to look like a normal pony only with both wings and a horn.

 

 

 

 

Now, look at this, Fleur Fe Lis is clearly not an alicorn, yet she has a body style that is comparable to Luna or Celestia....

 

Now, how could this possibly tie into anything regarding immortality? Firstly I just really wanted to get the argument that "becoming an alicorn automatically changes said ponies body" type nonsense.

 

Secondly, it is arguable that Celestia and Luna are a completely different kinds of alicorns, in fact it has been hinted numerous time that the two sisters have actually ruled for thousands of years, while when watching the Cadence Twilight flash back you get a certain vibe that Cadence is very young herself.

 

Aside from completely over thinking a children's TV show one of that major reasons that I believe that the immortal head cannon is complete nonsense IS.......
