Am I the only one who finds the fast time-passing disturbing?

When I was 22 I used to say "No worries, there are still 7 years to go before I turn 30", Now there's LESS THAN A YEAR REMAINING!!!

I see people on the Internet who I remind they started their teenage years in 2009... NOW THEY'RE 18 AND LEGAL!!!

I met some friends at cons when I started going in 2009 when they were 19... NOW THEY'RE 25!!!

When I started therapy my psycologist said: "You're just 22, you just started your 20's", NOW i'M 29 AND ABOUT TO FINISH THEM!!!

Am I the only one disturbed to see how quick the time passes?

No, you aren't the only one. In fact, I only just remembered that we're in October at the moment since I thought it was August or something.

Time flies by when you do something you love, doesn't it?

It probably doesn't help that for some reason a lot of people (myself included) have a tendency to unconsciously skip over 2000-2009 when thinking about how long it has been since something in the 90s happened. The Matrix coming out, Kurt Cobain killing himself, the Simpsons being funny, that was all less than ten years ago, right?

The reason time passes quicker when you're older is because it takes up a larger percentage of your life. So, if you're, say, 10, and 5 years pass, it'll feel like a long time because a third of your life passed. If you're ten and ten more year pass, it's like you're living those previous ten years again. It stops becoming three years out of five, it becomes three years out of ten, three years out of twenty...

Have the courage to think and act on your own. And have the courage to disobey.

You can see this in two ways. One way is you looking back all those years and feel like your time is running out...

Or you look forward on whats goinig on in your life right now.

It's better to chatch they day than to live in your memorise :D

time goes way too fast :P unless i'm waiting for something.  haha

i still feel like a teenager and i just turned 23  :o

I hate getting older, but i see a lot of older people who act younger than i do, so maybe after i get over that dreaded 30 years lump, i'll just accept it and start having fun with life.

The really frustrating thing is time seems to go by fast when I want it to slow down and go slow when I want it to speed up. It is a frustrating problem but one that just goes to show how important it is to enjoy the time you do have as much as you can and try to take advantage of as many opportunities as you can. I am not happy with where I am in my life but I also recognize that sitting here feeling sorry for myself is not going to change anything so I am taking charge of my own destiny. I have recently been presented with a huge opportunity at work to become a Receiver (back room manager) and I am taking it not because I want to do that for the rest of my life but because it will solve my knee injury problem as well as a few other ones and make my remaining time in the grocery industry until I implement my other plans much more bearable. I can't change the past but I can and will learn from it and use what I have learned to shape my future.

Well, as you age, time seems to pass by faster every year, so, you're not alone. I'm 23, and it seems like time speeds by.

I know how you feel. I am extremely anxious as I am turning 18 next year. I feel as if I am losing my Childhood, my memories include that of going to the seaside, watching Teletubbies and Come Outside, playing games such as Daytona and Wipeout. And going to the old motorcycle shop with dad, that shut down. I miss that smell of petrol in the shop. The bakery which I used to buy Biscuits at is also reopening. I just wish the motorcycle shop was still open. I feel as if I am already in a mid-life crisis.

Oh yes I do. It's 5 weeks into the School term for me, and it only feels like 2 minutes ago when I was enjoying my Summer holidays. I thought "Ah... Still have 2 weeks till school starts..." Now it's 7 weeks later, yet it feels like I said it yesterday. I am pretty worried where time goes, but I guess we just have to make the most of the time we have.
