The worst movie I ever saw was The Last Airbender. I watched on Nick like 2 years ago and it was the most dissapointed I've ever been with a movie. I'm not looking forward to the sequel. M. Night Shamylan should just stop directing.

Hmm... that would take some time.  I could probably do better picking a worst per genre, and work it out that way... maybe...

...or how we define "worst."  If we slightly change it to "biggest disappointment," it would easily be the first Tomb Raider movie.

Hmmm worst movies worst movies... I don't watch many movies to be honest. But I agree with you the Last Airbender movie was terrible. I guess The Purge is one of the movies that I hate because of the wierd following it has. I didn't think ti was that bad when I watched it but it's fans just ruined it for me. Good thing all you bronies are pretty awesome.

Cheria (right) is a small town girl who was afflicted with a terrible sickness when she was very young. Meeting Sophie changed that however. She recovered almost instantly from her illness due to Sophie's magic and gained an undeniable talent with her own, and what does she do with this magic? She acts as a healer for her small town and helps the militia keep the hostile border safe. Seven years later, she's started a nation-wide relief organization after her adventure with Sophie and Friends, a great connection to the element of generosity.

The Purge, if only because the movie tries too hard to be scary, and it just comes off as funny.

The worst movie I ever tried sitting through was Dune. It's based on a classic science fiction novel said to be one of the best ever written. But the movie was just creepy and weird and boring as heck.

BUT the worst movie I have heard of PERIOD is Food Fight! It's a ridiculously awful, ugly, offensive, racially insensitive, fetish pandering, product placement bombed disgrace to the art of animation. And that's putting it mildly. There is no animated movie that is worse!

Probably Swordfish with Donnie Darko coming in a close second.

Swordfish made no sense and it seemed like the movie was trying way too hard to show you how cool and edgy it was. Plus it's always painful watching John Travolta trying to play a "bad guy".

Donnie Darko is basically a bunch of lines and scenes that the director thought were funny or clever, and then just crammed together without any rhyme or reason with a big helping of pretentiousness scooped on top.

I can tell you exactly what the problem with that movie was: David Lynch. His movies piss me off for all the same reasons I said that Donnie Darko pissed me off: a bunch of random pretentious bullshit crammed together.

Plus with Dune he was totally out of his element: Making a movie that had an actual plot.

World War Z and anything with Pauly Shore.

Probably Swordfish with Donnie Darko coming in a close second.

Everyone and their mother recommended me Donnie Darko, like it was some sort of Cult classic, can't say I saw it as trying to be overly impressive, but definitely overrated.

Who you jiving with that cosmik debris?

Actually... you're right about Donnie Darko but I don't think it's quite that bad. The director was aiming for a surreal movie with lots of cryptic messages, and I think his greatest flaw was leaving it to the audience to reach their own conclusions (another way of saying it lends itself to be dislikes if people don't get it). But actually, the fan theories behind the movie and its premise are the most interesting part. Stuff about parallel dimensions, changes in time and the meaning of life are some very cool stuff. But like I mentioned, the director didn't really make a movie that was terribly compelling on its own.

... except for Frank. The movie did not have nearly enough juicy creepiness.

Chicken Little - Way too mean spirited and the plot pretty much goes all over the place.

High School Musical - It's like they're TRYING to be a generic High School movie on purpose. Even the title is "High School Musical" :P

Thomas and Friends: Misty Island Rescue - Irritating dialogue and lack of realism EVERYWHERE.

Super Mario Bros Movie - Nothing like the original games, plus stupid dialogue and poor acting.

I'm the kind of person that can get enjoyment out of "bad" movies; rarely am I ever so disgusted with a film that I'll walk out of the theater. That exactly what happened with the steaming pile that is "Doogal", though. Seriously, that movie is terrible.

Nazis at the Center of the Earth. Usually I can at least get a laugh out of a really bad movie, but this...
All of the Nazis' weapons were repainted Nerf guns, but it wasn't funny.
One of the main cast members was Son of Busey, but he wasn't funny.
The premise itself should have been funny, but the movie blows it off.
But I really think the main problem with this movie was that it tried to take itself seriously, even right up to the final battle with Mecha-Hitler. You just can't make a movie about Nazis having a subterranean camping trip and then take yourself seriously, it fucks it up.
