I don't think i've been to a place where i've loved the MLP series or the people of it. There's vast people here with different view and opinion. But i love hearing their thoughts and opinion. Its like everyone is one with all.

We live in strange times, don't we?

The internet is the greatest outlet for humanity to exact the freedom of speech and expression, and yet we have to sift through it's vast multitudes of bigotry, racism, trolling and insanity in order to locate it's more interesting gems.

Admittedly MLP is far from my favourite show, and I can think of many others that I prefer to it.

But what draws me to the forum is the fantastic community.

Each person here is different, yes, but together we are mighty and our kindness, understanding and creativity reaches out to others outside the fandom, and so we continue to grow.

This talk of how bronies are is just a bunch of negative people is just nonsense. Because we are able to reach out to one another never ceases to amaze me. I'm truly grateful to be apart of such a wonderful fandom, and it is a thing to be cherished.

Yay! This is a good forum and even though we all have different interests and opinions, we all enjoy MLP and get along well. Just like how the Mane 6 have nothing in common, they still remain close.

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I wouldn't say everyone has a heart of gold... :P

Being here is a double-edged blade. On one hand you get people who actually like the show and won't judge you for it but that's also this forum's curse. Opposing viewpoints (note: completely different from trolls who hate just to rile people up) often help us to understand why we love something.

Circlejerking isn't a good thing and there's way too much of it on this site, but that isn't any different from anywhere else.

I hope you enjoy your stay here. Never be afraid to throw an opinion out there even if it's the exact opposite of the common beliefs. Find a group or part of the forum you enjoy and ignore people who grind your gears too much. You'll have the best time in the world.

I have been with many different fandoms over the past decade, but I have never felt such grandiose euphoria for the fans or the subject manner, I would say it is more than just the ponies that have brought us together, it is the desire to express a gentle side in each of us. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind, or noble in thou deeds, we share our common link, by watching this incredible show, too good to be limited to be enjoyed by a specific group, so the fact that people from across the globe, in all walks of live, can discus and express their love for the ponies, and the fandom that has arisen from it, so we might have souls of gold or silver, what we do wish for one another at least, is to come here and say I love the ponies, I am a fan of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, and if anyone out there is a fan too, let us talk, and let us be friends, I haven't a friend in so long now I have many, and I feel so grateful to this intrepid show and the enthusiastic fans, I wish the best for all of you, thank you for your spirit.

I'm not sure what you mean by circlejerking... I really like seeing people so openly and warmly express such enthusiasm and camaraderie. There's precious little of that on the internet.

When people only pay attention to those they agree with I'd say that's one big circlejerk. It's great when people agree with you, of course, but I've seen people completely ignored because they didn't agree or had something different to say than what 90% of a topic was posting about.

I like that you brought that up. Do you suppose this could be more due to someone not wanting to be confrontational, or more attributed to people who prefer confirmation bias?

It could honestly go both ways. Everyone likes when people agree with them and the sense of validity it brings. It could also be an age group thing. A majority of our users are teenagers, many also depressed, so confrontation is the last thing they want. They come here to be happy, not be put under stress.
