That show was my childhood! Clockwork was my absolutely favorite character on the show. He was soo cool.
The show was amazing, but the last episode made me unhappy. Mainly because I didn't like Sam as a character.

I haven't seen it in forever though, I keep meaning to go rewatch through it some. But I haven't.

Good show, it was one of the more original series from Nickelodeon. I've heard it's acquired something of a cult following since it's cancellation.

I think it was and is one of the best

USA cartoons that came out in the

day in well, the creativeness it had

and the whole human-ghost thing

they did and well,  Danny!

Loved it but didn't care for the best friends falling in love storyline. I rather would have like to see him gotten the girl he wanted Paulina. Also I could watch Danny's mother all day long.

In any case, Nickelodeon would be better off if they put more creative effort into their newer shows like they had with Danny Phantom. That's not to say they don't have some decent ones lined up though. TLOK anyone?

Why I certainly didn't expect too many replies, and not long after the topic was made too. Well at least it's pretty great to see others remember and enjoy the series as well. It's pretty obvious who my favorite is. In fact she's my fave of all of Butch Hartman's female characters. The male favorite isn't from this show. I gotta say though I wish it had gone on just for a few more episodes. I felt like there were a few things they could've worked with at the end of the finale.

This was definitely one Nickelodeon's best shows in my opinion. It had so much to it that felt right. Characters that were kinda stereotypes but they were not overdone at all, that is something special. They could have really messed up with the gothic girl (I cannot remember any names now. ) but she was surprisingly a good character that had good synergy with Danny. Plus, I love how they changed things over time. The movies in particular were also pretty epic, I remember the huge hype train for the second one. That was everywhere on Nick at the time. I am actually surprised it was the Fairly Oddparents team that did this, considering the big difference in tone.

 

I need to rewatch this series. I now realize this.

This show to me personally is better than Hartman's other works, it had more originality than the others. Granted fop had originality but eventually it became stale and rarely ever caught my interest for too long, and used plot elements that had been done numerous times on numerous shows. The only characters I actually enjoyed were. You know I think I should probably make a thread for it. But I don't know if I could since I've pretty much lost total interest in it after Sparky showed up. The only clue is male, villain and followed the rules of having two episodes then a special. Which I think is the best of all of that shows specials. I'd list Danny Phantom's specials in order of Phantom Planet, The Ultimate Enemy(also known as one of the darkest specials I've seen in a kids show), Reality Trip and Reign Storm. Season ones episodes themselves were great but the first attempt at a special was rather underwelming and forgettable. Ultimate Enemy however was excellent and showed the team had figured out how to make a special fir the show that was well written and all. Plus the finales one of my all time series finales.

It was a fun show, though it's idea of ghosts always irritated me a little. They were more like extradimensional beings than ghosts as we know them. Also, ghost DNA? Rather strange. It's too bad they never resolved that storyline with the alternate future Danny, though.
