iceestarz 5,764 November 13, 2014 Share November 13, 2014 So my dad just totally blew up a minute ago. I finished my college application to West Texas A&M over the weekend, all I needed was for him to pay the fee and bam done. So I log onto ApplyTexas and pull up the payment part. He pays the 40 dollars and almost flips his lid at the cost. He then leaves and I pull up the SAT payment on CollegeBoard. He asks if I'm all done, and I'm like "um...well...you kinda have to send the scores in separately..." Then he yells at me and cusses me out because he has to pay 10 dollars for my SAT scores to be sent. And I just sit on the couch like okay then. Last time I back talked him I got cussed out so bad I started shaking and crying so I bit my tongue. To be even more polite he heads back into his room and yells at me "don't ask me for any more *apples*." Before slamming his bedroom door. I'm like well I don't ever really ask you for anything so not a problem. Don't you just love parents? He acts like we're broke. I mean I understand it's money gone, but I can't help the fact colleges have fees and crap. I would've paid for it myself but my parents don't want me to get a job until I get into college. So not really my fault that I have no money
N.W. 3,619 November 13, 2014 Share November 13, 2014 Eating pizza as the first meal of the day at 1 in the afternoon. I woke up around 12:30, went down to go eat something and grabbed a leftover slice of pizza, then my dad started telling me I should not eat leftover pizza as the first thing of the day, and that no matter the time of day it should still be something of "breakfast in nature"/ 2 Days later he did the same thing with some leftover Chinese or something, then proceeded to forget all about it. My parents have a tendency to do that, rant about something small and stupid then forget about it and never speak of it again.

QuirkyUsername 1,576 November 13, 2014 Share November 13, 2014 I may be bending the rules here as it wasn't a parent nor happened to me but when mum's stepdad was dating my grandmother he took them all out for some KFC. Mum was about 9 with my aunt of 6 at the time. Apparently burgers came in boxes at KFC back then (Still might in some places but it's wrappers here now) and being kids they put all the chips in one of the burger boxes. He absolutely flipped out swearing and going crazy because he thought mum and my aunt ate them all, sped them home, kicked them all out of the car and didn't speak to my grandmother for a week. A totally reasonable response to thinking all the chips were eaten. They weren't but even if they were I was stunned when she told me......still pretty damn funny though now. mars 4,862 November 13, 2014 Share November 13, 2014 The other day, my grandmother was pissed off because my sister came from Buffalo Wild Wings and brought me leftover wings. I was eating them, and my grandmother came into the room and said: "Oh, leftover wings?" And I just said yes and continued to eat. Then she walked off. The next day she's not talking to me so I ask her what's wrong and she begins angrily saying that I should have offered her some wings. Two things though. 1. My grandmother doesn't eat buffalo wings. She doesn't like them.2. She hates leftovers. She feels that giving her leftovers is "treating her like an animal".Honestly, I love her but sometimes I just smh.

~Sugar Sprinkles~ 638 November 14, 2014 Share November 14, 2014 One time I was making me some noodles and my mom was downstairs and randomly...like said that our one family friend got her temps finally and she is 25 mind you. I am 20 and still don't have my temps because of my fear to drive. I have REALLY bad anxiety and if I even drive, I could crash. Anyways, my mom was in a great mood that day (for once) and so was I. As she told me our family friend got her temps, she insisted she would "help me get my temps" because my parents do nothing but PUSH ME into getting my license. They don't even believe me that I have a fear -.- I mean, my boyfriend is like my taxi and he doesn't mind bringing me places. So, after she said that I simply said in the most polite voice possible "I don't know, I am terrified to drive and still need to build up confidence" and like..she BLEW UP. I don't even know how that made her mad?? I did not even say it in a mean or snobby tone. She went on about how she does not believe me that I am scared to drive and told me "there's no such thing as a fear to drive because everyone wants to drive". Like, okay?? It turned into a HUGE war between me and my mom and my dad was like...trying to stop this fight. I even told my dad I had NO clue what I even said or did. Anyways, they also don't realize my fear even built up more because a few months ago, I got into a bad wreck :/ Siiigh. That was a time I mainly remember my mom BLOWING up on me for something I did not even do to set her off. I said one sentence and BAM!!! Simon 4,557 March 13, 2015 Share March 13, 2015 Traumatic childhood memory time! July 4th, I was about 5 or so years old and my family was broke at the time and had no working vehicle. My dad spent the entire day sleeping, and then he woke up at about 6 pm and wanted all of us to go walk 5 miles with him to the Strip to go see fireworks. None of us gave a crap about the fireworks and we were tired and we didn't want to walk 5 miles... (and ffs I was 5). So he got pissed off, started yelling at us, slammed the door and left and didn't come back home for 3 days (probably cause he was fucking exhausted from walking that far). Another classic one was my dad used to always get mad at me and my siblings for not going outside... we were a very introverted, inside sort of family that preferred watching TV or playing a board game to standing outside tossing a ball waiting to get hit by a truck. On more than one occasion he went so far as to start yelling at us because we were studying and doing homework instead of playing outside. Yep, we used to get yelled at for studying. (Can't make this shit up). Last but not least in my bizarre dad blow ups, was Halloween when I was about 7. At that time we always went to this Church Halloween party thing that happened every year the Saturday before Halloween, so we went out for that all night like normal, got home about 10 pm. My dad was super bizarre about the house... he'd bring tons of shit into the house and pile it up everywhere so it was a complete disaster, but when we had something of ours out of place, he'd get extremely mad. Literally at one point we had about 200 giant boxes of crap of his piled throughout the house that he bought at an auction to the point you could barely walk through the house, and he'd get upset cause someone left their shoes in the middle of the floor like that was really the true cause of all the clutter. So this particular day the house wasn't really clean, and he had a bit of a fit before we left about it, but we didn't think much of it. We came home and much to our surprise the entire house was spotless... he'd cleaned everything. We got this look of pride in our dad for doing something, but my mom knew better and just had a look of horror. Sure enough she was right... he'd literally tossed everything of ours that wasn't put away to his satisfaction in the back yard in a giant pile to prove some sort of point. I even had to dig through the pile to find my shoes cause I left the house in a costume and didn't have them. Alright enough picking at my dad's insanity <

I was listening to music on my iPad using my headphones and my parents thought that I was talking to an 80-year-old man from Korea.
