Well, I've come back to this thread!

 

Here's a song from an album I bought yesterday.

Phenomenal album. You'd like it if you like ambient music.

Green Day, anyone. Amazing band, definitely one of my favorites. They have a perfect mixture between really punk and really emotional songs. Here's two of my favorites by them.

Why couldn't I be a teenager in the 90's? I'd get the greatest mainstream music (this stuff was mainstream! Insane, I know!), the greatest video games, and just a great decade in general.

 

One of their earlier, more "punky" songs.

 

Newer, more emotional song.

I'm pretty diverse. And I kinda dislike A7X (no offense) but, I'm not much of a metalcore listener. I prefer thrash and black metal (Slayer, Venom, Celtic Frost, etc.).

Somehow I think a reference to The B-52's "Rock Lobster" would be a more appropriate reference, given this sentence.

 

On another note, I do like the handful of hits that The B-52's have had, particularly Rock Lobster, Love Shack, and Roam, so good choice there.

Nothing wrong with some good ol' classical rock, right? This band is really weird for their time.

They played rock, but never really even liked the genre. Not to mention that most of their lyrics were very ironic and none of their songs were ever really very serious.

I'm still a firm believer that Hybrid Theory is the best alternative metal/ rap-rock album ever created. It's a shame that they don't make music like this any more
