Noucome (My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy) is pretty good, it's really dirty and not for everyone but I thought it was funny.

A lot of people hated Saint Saiya in the US despite it being popular in just about every other place in the Earth, though I blame the neutered dub(it was the same company who made the early Sailor Moon dub)

Legend of the Galactic Heroes (commonly known as LoGH) is a great space diplomacy/warfare/government series. It's older and if you don't have the stomach for a lot of dialogue you won't care for it, but those that stick with it will be richly rewarded.

Lovely Complex (LoveCom) is one of my favorite romcoms. It's about a tall girl and a short guy and how they deal with relationships.

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees.
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

Amagami SS is pretty good and I don't know a lot of people who are a fan of it. It's great if you want a cute lighthearted romance show, and almost all the characters are likable and well-written. The music and animation are both really nice as well. Its only flaws is that it can be incredibly cheesy at points, and it can be a bit clichéd at points. Two of the arcs aren't that great either (one is really annoying and fanservice-y (though it does finish strong), and the other has an extremely long build-up with a very underwhelming conclusion).

Still, I think it's a worth a watch if you're into romance stuff.

Seirei no Moribito:  The story is interesting,  you have a killer style and a good influence of the Japanese folklore and believes thrown in!  You also get a lot of complex cannon built and evolving.  Also politics and layers!

Juuni Kokuki:  This anime comes with a high dose of fantasy and all,  a good main cannon and a few other sides that add into the main story and not take it!

Kemono no Souja Erin:  This anime might start out a bit of the light heart feeling but it changes as the story gets more complex!   One thing I love in this anime is you get to see the main cannon grow up and change!

I think Eden of the East is really underrated. I never hear anyone talking about it and I thought it was fantastic!

Toriko: if you like shonen manga like DBZ and Naruto, then you'd probably love Toriko. I think it sort've makes people skeptical to get into it because the story is centerd around food and ingredients. But Trust me, it's a lot better then it sounds, they story is epic! If your interested in it, I reccomend the manga over the anime, the last half of the anime is non canon and it ends way before the manga.

O-parts hunter (666 Satan): this is more of a darker shonen, but one of my favorite series of all time. It was made by Seishi Kishimoto (Masashi Kishimoto, aka the creator of Naruto's brother). This series begins like Naruto, but is a million times better! It starts out sounding really religious as well, but eventually mellows out into more of a sci-fi/supernatural series. it's pretty short, and it doesn't have an anime (only a manga), but the story and characters are incredible!

God of Highschool: this is actually a manhwa (Korean manga), but regardless it is awesome! First, Imagine the crazy fights in DBZ, then imagine them 100X better and with actaul martial arts combat. it goes as far as to explain each characters abilities, fighting style, and the different martial arts techniques they use. The characters don't just punch and kick each other at high speeds, they use detailed and amazing martial arts to make the H2H fights really interesting too see, and very enjoyable! Warning: it is not realistic, it's a fantasy/martial arts series with standard shonen powers. If you don't like this, you may not like G.O.H.

Tokyo Ghoul: a pretty dark series with some really brutal moments. It's got ghouls (basically intelligent Zombies) and humans living in the same world, but the problem is ghouls must eat people to survive. Throughout the series they hunt each other and fight, but the best part? You can't decide who is good or evil, who is in the right and who in the wrong. Is it justified to kill an entire race just because they must feed on humans to survive? is it right for the ghouls to murder people? It really does a good job on doing the old 'innocent monsters' story while still keeping them scary. I love it, but if your not a fan of blood and gore you'd best not watch/read this series.

D. gray Man: both the anime and manga are good, but the anime ends way before the manga, and has a different ending. if you like darker shonen anime with some religious inspiration thrown in, along with incredible characters and awesome plot, then you must try this series!

Katekyo Hitman Reborn!: this is a shonen that starts out as a comedy series. If you like shonen but not slice of life/comedy, then you'll either have to bear through the first arc (or two) or skip it, but I reccomend you don't. Some important plot elements are revealed in the beginning. This series is full of 4 things: action, mafia, badassery and comedy! I highily reccomend both the anime and manga!

Deadman Wonderland: gory, brutal, dark, and amazing. If you like darker stories mainly focused on the plot and characters, then you'd probably love this manga/anime.

^ ^ ^ all of these are highily underrated and ignored, and it's such a shame. They are all amazing, and deserve more love. Also, I know a lot of these don't have anime (or the anime sucks), but they are all worth a look.

Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate deserves much more attention. They're both really awesome action animes with a little bit of comedy and horror mixed in. It's extremely gory by the way, so I can't reccomend it to people with weak stomaches.

Definitely Zatch Bell for sure. If anything that show deserves at least as much love as what Naruto got if not more. It has great characters, a great storyline, great suspense, I could go on.

I agree that Ghost Hunt is underrated. (That reminds me, I need to start watching it again...)

Some others I wish got more attention are: Higurashi no naku koro ni and Gregory Horror Show, both of which are horror anime, and Arashi No Yoru Ni, which is a beautifully animated film about the forbidden roma--er, friendship between a wolf and a goat. (It's so cute and so emotional and I just >w<)
