I've been having a lot of trouble lately attempting to purchase VOCALOID4 from the official VOCALOID store. I tried to buy it from the Japanese VOCALOID store (as the English VOCALOID store does not have V4 and it may be months before it does) and it keeps giving me errors. First it said the card I was using is unusable, then it said the store was too busy. I was hoping to buy it from the official VOCALOID store as it not only has a downloadable version, but it also has a discounted version you can purchase if you have VOCALOID3 (which I do have).  Also, when I bought V3 from the English VOCALOID store it didn't have nearly this much frustration! I'd rather not purchase it from Amazon or Ebay since it will cost more and I don't know when I will receive it.  If anyone could help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it!

Vocaloid4 is out? I only have Vocaloid3. I wonder what the benefit of getting Vocaloid4 is. I kind of starting with V3 last year so I'm late.

Yep, V4 came out last month. It sounds a lot more realistic and has some cool new features from what I've seen. It has growl and something called cross-synthesis where you can sort of switch between appends. Some people in the US have V4, which is why I'm so confused right now as to why I'm having so much trouble buying something that should only take five minutes to buy. VY1 is the only Vocaloid for V4 at the moment, though.

 

 

I'm still not sure if this is VOCALOID4 sounding awesome or if it's just Kyaami's godly tuning. Probably both.

 

(dang it, now I want V4 even more!  )

I've found a few sites (Tenso, WhiteRabbitJapan, etc.) but I don't think they'd help with downloads, just for physical copies, since the VOCALOID store only has a downloadable version of V4. I think the VOCALOID store is just too busy, since it won't let me get to the payment procedures anymore.

 

Do you have a suggestion on a good V3 voice? Prefer English but Japanese is good too.

 

Avanna is the clearest English Vocaloid at the moment (in my opinion, anyway). There's also YOHIOloid, who has both a Japanese and an English voicebank. I actually don't have any Vocaloids (I got V3 for the V4 discount) but those two seem like they have pretty good voicebanks.
