What would you do if Hasbro killed off your favorite character?

Since Derpy is my favorite character I would have an absolute fit if they killed her off and probably go to war against Hasbro! Yeah, I love Derpy that much!

I'd be very sad, however:

- I love Derpy but not much more than the other characters.

- She hasn't appeared a lot in the show so far and had only 1 speaking role, I'd be a lot sadder if she had started to have more screen time.

 

I'd definitely continue to watch the show...

If DIscord died, I could see it as probably being as a final act to show that he finally has grown to be loyal to his pony friends, to protect them no matter what. I could see him sacrificing himself to save Fluttershy, and I'd be like

 

 

"Damn... Discord just died... My favorite character is dead and won't come back, but MLP just suddenly turned more epic! Like game of thrones!"

I'd be really upset Discord died, but yet, pretty excited for the new direction the show would be taking

I've been through this before. Sometimes being an anime fan is so painful. So many favorite characters dying...constantly...

I seriously doubt a show like MLP would kill off a character who isn't a villain, though, so Luna is safe for now.

First off, I'd be stunned. It'd be pretty ballsy of a primarily children's show to kill off one of their main characters. Now, don't get me wrong, I know Transformers killed off Optimus, but it's still a very rare thing to do and pull off correctly. If Pinkie was to die, I'd be upset. Would I stop watching the show? No. I've seen plenty of my favorites die in other shows and I've still kept watching. But it wouldn't be the same without our pink, fourth wall-breaking Element of Laughter.

If they killed off Twilight Sparkle I'd be pretty shocked.

 

But given what a brave decision it would be to kill off the series' lead character, I'd probably assume they had some pretty amazing changes to the show up ahead, and I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and keep watching at least for a few episodes to see if the changes paid off.

That might be the one thing they could do to make me stop watching.

 

I'm all for plot twists and pulling the rug out from underneath the audience, but killing off Rarity would be a rather dark turn that I don't think the series could recover from.

Nothing would really happen to me. Guys, yes, all of these are fictional characters, not like they're your friends or family or something.

 

For me, my favorite pony is Twilight. If the death was like a stormtrooper, I would just react like it was the normal death of a stormtrooper.

If it was dramatic... EXPLOSIONS! UNLIMITED EXPLOSIONS!

 

But I know I can get over with it. I watched Tennant's Doctor's death scene like so many times and even though he is one of my favorites, I didn't even feel any sadness and never complained about it. I wouldn't just send a death threat to The Moff just to bring back Tennant. I wouldn't also send a death threat to Hasbro HQ just to revive back Twilight. Ridiculous.

I always say I'll stop watching a show or reading a book because of stuff like this happening, but I never actually carry it out. I usually end up not reading/watching a show for about 6-12 months if I really like the character(Unless it is Game of Thrones or something, I have just come to accept that everyone dies lol). Though if they killed Luna off I would be rightly pissed and hate Hasbro with a passion, but like I said I would probably end up watching the show still, I just would like it a lot less knowing that they would do that.
