How would you like the MLP movie to come out as? Should it come out as an individual thing like The Simpsons movie and South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut, or should it be the first part of a whole film series, each one having its own plot? I'd personally like it to be made into a series, but it's most likely gonna be a one-time installment.

I'm hoping there's sequels to it, like EQ. I'd also like to see it be canon to the show itself. Considering they'll be their pony selves. Or at least, make nudges to the events in the movie, in the show itself.

I just hope it's not like EQ, where they don't make any mention of the movie in the show or vice versa. Would seem a bit silly to make a pony movie, and not make any references to it in the show that it was created from.

I say "the more ponies in my theater the better"

To see Ponies on the big screen would be a euphoric experience.

AS LONG AS THEY DO NOT!

Cinema release. Series. However if the series were interconnected, instead of making a sequil after the first one plan the next few so they all work together super well and are just plain awesome

A trilogy would be pretty sweet but I'm doubtful it would happen...then again you never know. Wouldn't it be cool of the MLP movie(s) rivaled the likes of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings? XD As long as it's done right and they give us at least one quality movie with a good story -- and ponies, not humans -- I'm happy.

Dude if Ponies in movies were shown at the same level as those movie series, I think I'd die from too much awesomeness...  I am going to be daydreaming of that day forever now. B)

I'd like to see a series of movies. Maybe if there was indiviual plots for each movie, as well as a bigger arc going on at the same time.

But then again, the likeliness of that is low. I'm fine with a single movie at least.

If they've already made two EQG movies, then they have to make more than one pony movie :squee: At least I hope so :(

All I really want in this movie is adventure and everything we know and love about ponies, and ONLY PONIES. No humans this time around, they have to stick to their own series :okiedokielokie: But.....it would be great if Sunset Shimmer pony could show up :squee:

The more Pony the better I always say :)

I expect the first film to be less connected to ongoing story lines that some would like (no return old villains for example). They will likely make it more accessible so some general information may be repeated. New characters will be introduced.

If this is successful, I expect more films that can then build on a larger arc.

Pure G4 MLP style preferably.

no humans allowed.

Top-notch written story and plot.

Hours of fun.

A movie that you can really just watch over and over again and still be in love with it.

Just the good stuff that they know we will like. Pure pony madness.

These are some of the things I think about when thinking of a Good MLP movie. May or may not get that movie but I can dream.

It is essential that the movie takes the same route that the comics & Equestria Girls do; let it be it's own self-contained story but still canonically connected to the FiM universe we know and love.

Along with that just make sure there is plenty of attention paid to the writing & characters, and I think we should be in for a treat.

We certainly don't know if there will be a MLP film just because they announced a new project. But if one was made, I would want them to focus on the writing and animation to make sure both are worthy to be on cinema screens. I don't want any nonsense. It has to be the best the show material has to offer. And no reusing of previous music or even sound effects. All original music.

It needs to be a bit darker than the show. EQG made the misstep of camping it down rather than raising the stakes. It needs to be similar to a two parter but more focus on characters, and a more personal conflict. I also think some big stars should be in it as movie OC's.

An FIM movie is guaranteed to happen. Hasbro confirmed it, and they were preparing to write the script for it.

What this movie should be is to stay in the style they're known for: well-done flash animation that only focuses on the ponies. We're here because of the equines and how well they connect to the audience through quality writing, not because a sterile and lazily built human world rips off Jem and the Holograms and Monster High.

Personally, of the two poll choices, I prefer it as something similar to The Simpsons Movie or EQG in itself: a part of FIM's continuity, yet allowable to skip over so you don't need to watch it to get familiar with the series.

I don't care much about how many movies they make, but if they do make several of them they should each be mostly independent, like most episodes of the show.

I agree with the others who say NO HUMANS, although by that point it's pretty much a given. It felt weird watching Equestria Girls and knowing that, although they looked and talked just like them, these girls weren't the same characters as the ponies we had grown to love.

Another possibility would be that the series will have ended by the time the movie comes out, and the movie will be the epic finale that will bring the whole thing to a satisfying close. I know that FiM will have to end some day, and I hope that when it does, it will happen before the franchise has grown stale (Even now, I'm starting to feel the writers running out of episodes) so our final memories of the series won't be of it being milked dry.

Well each movie could have its own storyline, just like movies for anime shows have their own storylines.

I will go out on a major limb and say the thing needs to be live action ala Transformers & Avatar. I am really aiming for market viability as I have given this thing alot of thought. While Bronies fit one of the best demographics (males 18-25) for movies, they are not enough to fill seats at the magic distribution number of 600 theaters.

You got to have a Megan type character. The human side of things is what sells the story. Transformers live action was for everybody and did much better financially than the animated movie which is more for the purists (granted alot of other factors at play). Little girls have to drag their parents to this thing (at least 2 tickets); hard core bronies would watch this thing alone. Little girls will imagine themselves riding a winged equine like the female character. Then they (parents) can drop cash the next Christmas or birthday so miss thang can have her own horse. A.K.A. My Little Pony. Live action is more expensive but is a 2-fer so to speak.

Also, the thing needs to be generationless as in not gen 1-4 MLP. It should pull from all 4 but it really needs to be its own thing and not just Friendship is Magic or a rehash of Gen 1. The movie could even launch a new gen of MLP.

Last, you need a Steven Spielzebra on this thing. Someone(s) who would quarterback this thing both creatively and market-wise. Throw real money and talent at it (and real distribution) and this thing would certainly be a cash cow.

So Hasbro and movie houses I will gladly write the screenplay for you :)

I hope it turns out to be an excellent sendoff to the series.

Am I the only one who doesn't want FIM to go past the point of bleeding the stone dry? Also I'm pretty sure the staff wouldn't want to work on the same show for their whole career.
