  1. 1. Do you prefer it when Cartoons play the intro sequence first, or after the first 2-3 minutes?

Often in cartoons, mostly those with a 22-minute episode format, the first minute or two of the episode is played, followed by the title sequence, then a commercial break. Do you prefer this format, or would you rather them get the intro out of the way first.

I prefer the intro being the first thing done in an episode. If for whatever reason the first two minutes of the episode is dramatic then any kind of theme could possibly drag you out of the experience.

I can go with either method. Of course I grew up with most shows having the intro first, but I can dig the other trend too. Honestly, I like how FiM does it, and another favorite of mine, Babylon 5, did the same.

It doesn't matter to me. I've liked shows that have the intro first (Arthur for example) and others who have the intro after the first few minutes (MLP for example).

All my life needed was a sense of someplace to go. I don't believe that one should devote his life to morbid self-attention. I believe that someone should become a person like other people.

I agree with this. Placing a scene first and then having the intro afterwards can break up the rhythm of the show even more than the commercials do already(unless you're watching online or a personal copy).

The truth is always rough.

It depends. If something important happened in the previous episode that I must know about, then I prefer to see snippets to catch me up, then the intro. If not, then I would rather watch the intro first.

I like how prologues gives us an idea of what the episode is going to be about. It's not one of the most important scenes in the episode, it's just starting off the episode.

When I first saw the show, the fact that it was one of the only cartoons at the time to have a prolouge caught my attention. Not many cartoons have prolouges, usually just sitcoms. This makes MLP different from other cartoons (until Gravity Falls came out, that show also starts off with a prolouge).
