Novel felt uncomfortable. He looked like something out of her fairy tales she's read. It put her in an odd spot and she didn't know what to do about her feelings. Hopefully he doesn't go to battle, that way she won't need to deal with emotions on the battlefield. She kept eyeing a few books that she needed to obtain but now felt really shy about asking.

Celestia shrugged. "I don't like the idea of war. But, Sombra won't go down without a fight. He's proven that entirely." She turned the corner, going up some stairs.

 

Seth looked at her. "Want me to get anymore books, m'lady?" he asked, smiling warmly. He looked were she was glancing.

Steel nodded -luna will be able to get this finished for me- steel thought absent mindedly flying to the castle he landed out front "hey lunar any idea where Luna might be" steel asked walking in -hopefully Ill be able to find her in time to get this done-

Novel let out a sigh "I keep these books on the very top shelves for a reason. There are a few more books that are bound in leather with pink gems on the spines. I need those to start." Surprisingly her voice was level, maybe because she was looking away from the stallion.

Lunar thought for a moment. "She may be getting weapons ready for everypony to choose if they don't have any," she said, landing beside him.

 

Seth nodded, getting back up on his hind legs and propping a front leg up on the shelf. He grabbed one of the books and looked down at her. "This one?" he asked, still standing and stretched out.

Now he was playing with her. Drat she had to look at him now. Her whole face flushed yet again and nodded "Th-there should be t-two more on that shelf" She let out a squeak. Why did Celestia send him to be her escort if he was so cute. With that she turned to walk to the other side of the room.

Seth nodded, grabbing the other two books and getting down, following her. "Here you go," he said with a bow, handing her her books. -Such a cute mare...- he mused in his head, smiling sweetly at her. "If you don't mind me saying so, Miss Novel, you are quite the looker," he admitted, smiling sheepishly.

Novel stopped and her face went red again. She let out a squeak before continuing to the other side, needing a few more books from the other shelves. She would ignore his comments, not wanting to embarrass herself further. There was a stool over here this time and she climbed up, stretching to the very top shelf to get a small leather book, and old by the looks of it too.

Seth blinked, walking over to her. "Do you need help? I can get it for you if you can't reach it," he offered, tilting his head slightly. "I'm sorry if I over stepped my boundries, ma'am..." he added, fearing she was upset with him. He liked her, but knew that a mere guard member would never stand a chance with somepony who was great enough to be hand selected to be in the army.

Celestia shrugged. "I don't like the idea of war. But, Sombra won't go down without a fight. He's proven that entirely." She turned the corner, going up some stairs.

Aurora follows. "When given no alternative, one must do what one must do. You have my support all the way to the end. Also, you wouldn't happen to know anything about a Being called a dual soul, would you?"

 

Aurora stays close but keeps a respectful distance away.

Novel was still red "I-its fine really" She stammers and struggles to reach her little book. The stool wiggled slightly and she was loosing her balance but she wanted that dang book! She reached higher and higher, but doing so made the stool wiggle more than it should be to be considered safe.

Celestia shook her head. "No, I don't think I am..."

 

Seth frown. "Don't be stubborn, Novel," he said, opening his wings and flying up above her, grabbing the book she was reaching for and handing it down to her. "Here you go." He smiled sweetly. He really wanted to kiss those beautiful lips of hers, but dared not to unless he knew she felt the same.

Novel was surprised at the gesture and her face went red. "Th-thank you Seth" She would offer a soft smile "N-now that the book list is done I have to gather some medicinal supplies." Novel goes to leave to head to her kitchen, knowing Seth will follow. She would admit, he is a lovely stallion and kind at that, but she just met him and has to be careful to make sure he is who he appears to be.

Seth flew in behind her, landing by her side. His wing gently grazed her, almost as a kind touch someone dear would give, as he close his wings. "Anything you need help with in here, Novel?" he asked. He blinked, blushing a little. "I-I'm sorry, but I guess I should have asked first before adressing you so casually. I'm terribly sorry for my rudeness..." He bowed respectfully.

Novel returned his bow with a soft smile "It's fine Seth, I-I just don't interact with other ponies very often" She looks away and walks to the kitchen "My herbs should be fine for me to get, but some company would be nice". Finally somepony to talk to and maybe someone who could be interested in her, at least as a friend

Seth perked up, smiling. He trotted over to her, watching. "I'm glad Luna let me be your escort..." he murmered, blushing slightly. "I've always wanted to talk to you since I saw you come into the castle." He blushed more, looking down. He hoped he wasn't being too friendly too soon.

Novel stopped for a moment and blushed "Th-thank you Seth" She didn't know what to say. She was never in this situation before and it was all new to her "Honestly I was so afraid of going to the castle" She sighed "First I was late and then everypony is so different from me, I feel out of place"

Steel nodded " alright I'll see you at dinner " steel said heading for the armory on his was there he seen Luna and flux - just great she's dealing with another pony- steel thought walking up to them "excuse me Luna but I need some help with something" steel. Said

Seth blinked, looking up at her. "I'm the only stallion in the entire guard who doesn't have some kind of mare awaiting him when he comes home every night. I feel out of place. I'm in my twenties. I should have at least some mares peaking interest in me..." he sighed, his ears lowering.

 

Lunar blinked, flying and landing down on the steps of the castle. "Well...now what to do?" she thought aloud, thinking.

 

Luna blinked, looking at him. "What is it, Steel?"

Her ears lowered at the comment, knowing exactly how he felt. Novel let out a sigh and brushed against him slightly, "I  understand the feeling a little to well myself" Her eyes were low and looking down, sadness clearly in them. Her heart ached for companionship. Yeah books were a substitute for that but after a while it can become very lonely with only books to keep her company

Celestia shook her head. "No, I don't think I am..."

Aurora looks to Celestia and asks, "Did I say something wrong?"

Aurora looks confused to her response. She waits while following Celestia.

(What are you doing? Are you trying to get us killed? I hope that isn't what you are trying to do. I will break our deal and come out if it is.)

"Celestia blinked, looking at her. "Of course not, dear. I just don't know who you're talking about."

 

Seth blushed, smiling sadly at her. "I can fix that," he thought aloud. His eyes widened and his hooves quickly clamped over his mouth, his face going bright red. He didn't mean to say that out loud!

"Celestia blinked, looking at her. "Of course not, dear. I just don't know who you're talking about."

Aurora says, "Never mind then. I was curious because I am such a being. My name is derived from both souls within me. The dominant soul is I, Aurora. The other is my other soul, Midnight. We are Midnight Aurora."

 

Aurora knows midnight is angry but they need to learn more about those with two souls.

Steel pulled out the blade he made it was a long sword made out of a Black metal it was rather large and unusualy light he held it out to Luna " I need this enchanted for lunar she wanted a new weapon" steel said "I wasn't sure about her fighting style so I grabbed this will it work for her"
