"Yes. It had to do with you and the moon's shadow. May I spend the remainder of the night with you?" Aurora looks relieved that Luna wasn't the shadow she dreamt about. Aurora looks around marveling Luna's room. She then looks to Luna waiting for her reply.

Luna blinked. "O-of course you can, dear," she said. Her horn glew and an extra pillow and a blanket appeared on her bed. "Come on to bed." She climbed up into the bed, then patted the bed beside her, smiling sweetly. She wondered what the dream was about. She was a little worried.

Lightning flair slept for a little while, he rarely ever got much sleep so he was used to getting up early but this time he was sound asleep because he was finally home he didn't have to worry about somepony trying to attack him or how he was going to survive the next day he smiled in his peaceful sleep

Aurora gets in the bed with Luna. She instantly can tell how soft it felt. She asks, "Why were you crying earlier, mother? Also would you like to hear about the dream?" Aurora feels comfertable and at home in Luna's room and Luna knows it. Aurora waits for the response from Luna.

Luna shook her head. "It's nothing, dear Aurora. And you can tell us all about it in the morning. For now, we must rest," she said, laying down. Her back was towards Aurora, and her eyes were low. She pulled the covers up and closed her eyes. -I don't want to burden my children with my selfishness...- she thought.

Aurora snuggles up to Luna as a foal would to their mother. "See you in the morning. The moon is lovely tonight." Aurora then begins to drift off to sleep beside Luna. She says as she falls asleep, "We love you always and worry for..you...mother...." *soft sleeping sounds*

Luna smiled sadly and drifted off to sleep soon after.

 

-Time skip to morning-

 

Luna was lowering the moon and Celestia was rising the sun.

 

Lunar woke up, sitting up and stretching. She blinked, noticing Steel wasn't beside her. -Was last night just a dream...?- she thought, her ears lowering.

 

Midnight was taking a shower. She wanted one last good scrub down before the bloodbath that was approaching.

 

Seth woke up. He smiled, gently nudging Novel. "Time to get up, love," he said softly, kissing her cheek.

Aurora woke refreshed. Aurora knew that with Luna near her dreams were peaceful. She looks around for Luna and finds her outside lowering the moon. Aurora is sad to see the moon lower and winces when the first light of the Sun shines. "Wow too bright. Guess I am not yet use to seeing a sun raise. Morning mother you sleep well. You felt sad last night. Midnight, my other half, sensed it."

Chronos was sitting on his bed. His night was peaceful except for one time when he woke up around 3 AM. Last night was the first time since his son was born that he was able to sleep without being disturbed, when He woke to discover that it was quiet, no crying, no slight squeaking from a crib, no sign of a young colt wanting his father... it made Chronos feel uneasy. He was not used to having a good night sleep. He got up and grabbed his helmet. He sighed and walked to the Window to see the sunrise, like he did every morning. 'might as well see what I have been fighting for' He always told himself to remind him why he watches it rise.

Steel and grell where out side training hard both was dripping sweat and and panting thy each had several rather serious looking wounds it appeared they had been soaring for a while and from the looks of the training ground they had bleed a lot the training grounds where covered in blood and steel and grell showed no signs of stopping they clashed again there blades making a loud clang

 

A group of crystal ponies approached the castle looking tired and worn out

Novel woke with a yawn and a stretch. She had a good nights rest and felt refreshed. "Good morning Seth" Novel mumbles through another yawn, opening her eyes to look at him. Novels ears turned towards the sounds of the blades hitting together as a puzzled look crawls onto her face.

Lightning flair woke up at four am and got up, he walked to that same cliff he was at the night before and jumped off, stretching his wings he soared up into the sky. It was all he could do to keep his mind off the events, he didn't like war or battle but when it came to survival he was determimened to go all out.

Lunar blinked, hearing the clank. She got up and walked out onto her balcony. She gasped, seeing the blood. -I knew we shouldn't have trusted him!- she thought, fearing Grell had seriously injured Steel. She opened her wings and flew towards the training grounds.

 

Midnight couldn't hear the ruckus due to the water running in the shower. She shut the water off and grabbed her towel, drying off. "Time to go stain my hooves in blood..." she groaned, heading to her closet. She had gotten up when Grell did, so she knew he was down in the training grounds with Steel. "I hope they aren't tearing each other up too awful bad..."

 

Luna and Celestia finished their rising and setting, landing on the same balcony. Luna blinked, noticing Lunar going over to the training grounds. "We hope she realizes their just training..." she sighed.

 

Celestia frowned. "I don't understand why they are beating themselves up so bad, though. It makes no sense to me," she added, sighing.

 

Seth smiled. "Good morning, beautiful," he said, giving her an eskimo kiss. "Time for the big day."

Steel and grell had locked blades steel gained the upper hoof by using his second dagger to stab grell in the eye they broke apart again grell pulling out the blade "I may not be able to die but I still feel pain" grell growled at steel the room off again In a blur of fighting

Chronos heard the clanking and there could only be two possibilities: The castle is under siege or very loud training. Since there is no fire and Celestia was able to raise the sun, Chronos went with the ladder and put on his helmet before he went to go see who was training so loudly. He decided to check the training ground and when he saw steel, grell, and all the blood He said "WHAT THE HELL, HAPPENED HERE!!! I haven't seen this much blood since the battle of Griffon's creek!" He looked at it shocked at how much blood two ponies could hold.  'how are those two not shriveled, pale, and color blind by now?' Chronos thought.

Grell and steel didn't stop fighting the where a literal blur of blades sparks rude comments and blood they heard chronos and both called out "training" as they fought on the blue finally stopped as they locked blades again chronos could see that grell had been fatally stabbed in the neck head and eye and steel had slash and hack marks all over his chest and legs

Lunar gasped, picking up speed. "Get the hell off him!!!" she screamed, tackling Grell at full force. She quickly drew her sword Steel made her and put it to his neck. "I don't care if this is just training! This is going too far!" Her voice rang throughout the grounds of the castle. She was using her Royal Canterlot voice she picked up from Luna.

 

Midnight heard all the yelling and looked out her window. She gasped, seeing all the blood and Lunar on top of Grell with a sword to his neck. She quickly dried herself and put on her everyday armor, jumping out of the window and flying down.

 

Luna groaned. "Perfect. She's mad..." She opened her wings to go stop them.

 

Celestia put her hoof in front of Luna to stop her. "Let her handle this. Maybe she'll prove herself to Steel that not all alicorns are 'weaklings'," she said, watching closely.

 

Seth blinked, hearing the commotion. "What in the hay is going on out there...?"

Grell smirked "have you not seen what he's done to me I'll ne blind for a few hours thanks to him besides no pony here could ever hope to train with steel and survive with the first three minutes he had laned a fatal blow so stand down or I'll fight you like me and steel fight all physical no magic and all out"

Steel didn't say anything but he was iirrated he hated when his training was interrupted "enough lunar let him up we have a fight to finish" steel said

Lunar glared at him, her golden eyes glowing. "You are lucky I don't want to anger him..." she growled in the royal voice, sheathing her sword. She got up off him, looking at Steel. "Next time, tell me you are going to do this. I thought this plothole was betraying us." She had nothing but hurt and anger in her glowing eyes. She opened her wings, jetting off. Dirt and rocks get kicked up as she takes off.

 

Midnight blinked, almost falling out of the sky as Lunar whizzes past her. She landed by Chronos, worryo n her face. "What's going on?" she asked him, her voice shaky.

 

Luna blinked. "Well, that ended rather quickly."

 

Celestia nodded. "Of course it did. Lunar doesn't want to ruin what her and Steel just kindled."

Chronos walked over and looked at Steel "Now I am truly looking forward to our duel..." He said before looking at Grell "Also harm her or anyone besides steel and I will make you wish you never came into existence. " Chronos said. He then looked at Midnight "Training taken to the extreme" He said to her.

Before luanr took off steel met her glare with a cold look that spoke volumes he want the steel she thought he was in fight mode his mind going non stop calculating attack paterns and counters

Grell got up readying his scythe he looked at steel with a similar look and they launched at each other again turning into a blur of blades Sparks and blood

Neither noticed what chronos said they where to focused on the fight

Lunar burst into her room through the balcony doors, slamming them shut. She slammed them so hard that the glass shattered. She was panting from the anger, her eyes wide and still glowing. They were flashing white every few seconds. She knew that if she didn't calm down soon, she was going to go on another rampage, but she didn't care. How dare he treat her like that! She was trying to save him from what she thought was a serious threat! She screamed/roared, her power and energy causing all the glass in and around the room to shatter into a million pieces.

 

Midnight's ears were low. "I hope they're gonna be okay..." She then yelped and jumped at the roar, whirling around and looking up at Lunar's room. "O-oh no! L-Luna!!!" She opened her wings and raced towards the princesses.

 

Luna had heard the scream. She opened her wings and jetted to Lunar's room. She bucked the door, kicking it down. "Lunar!"

 

Celestia noticed Midnight flying to them. When she landed, Celestia patted her back reassuringly. "Don't worry, Midnight. She knows how to handle Lunar like this..."

Aurora waits before stepping up to Luna.

 

When Luna calms Lunar down she steps over to her and asks, "Are you ready? Thanks for the nice rest. That dream didn't return. Midnight, My other half wanted me to also ask why you were sad? She sensed it last night before we slept." Aurora didn't care that Celestia was probably listening. She was worried about Luna.

Steel and grell where sti locked in battle the reason the fight was so intense was becusse grell is the only pony to not only last more the ten minutes in an all out fight it also mange to survive many fights monster how hard they fought it always ended in a draw

Luna looked at Aurora. "I'm glad the dream didn't come back, but I have an important matter to deal with, so please go back to your room before she hurts you." She then looked at Lunar.

 

Lunar scream/roared again, her magic causing a vase to go flying. Her eyes were now white, her hooves pulsating a black aura. She looked at Luna, still panting, gritting her teeth.

 

Luna's horn began to glow. "Calm down, my child... Everything is going to be fine..." she softly said, slowly walking towards her.

 

Lunar suddenly launched herself at Luna.

 

Luna screamed out in frustration, the magic shooting from her horn and causing Lunar to drop to the floor mid launch, unconscious.
