I don't know how well late 90's WCW shows would age going back & rewatching them now.

We don't know how well late 90's wrestling in general holds up.

Nothing in WWE today can ever be as good as 2000-2004 WWE, that was the best time in WWE.

I got rid of the network because it was a waste of money when I have so many of them in my library.

For me, 2000-2006 were the best years in WWE.

So with all this attitude era talk and NJPWs super junior tag league underway, let's do this:

Create a 9 match dream supercard of attitude era stars (anyone in WWF from WM 13 to WM17) versus the current New Japan roster. Singles or tag matches only.

For example, I'm doing:

  1. Dr. Death Steve Williams, Vader & L.O.D vs. The 3rd Generation (Tenzan, Kojima, Nagata & Nakanishi).
  2. Davey Boy Smith vs. Davey Boy Smith Jr.
  3. Kurt Angle & William Regal vs. Minoru Suzuki & Zack Sabre Jr.
  4. Taz vs. Tomohiro Ishii
  5. The Radicalz (Malenko, Saturn, Benoit, Guerrero) vs. Los Ignobernobles de Japon (Naito, Evil, Sanada, Takagi).
  6. The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes.
  7. Steve Austin vs. Kazuchika Okada.
  8. Shawn Micheals vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi.
  9. The Hart Foundation (Bret, Owen, Jim & Pillman) vs. The Golden Elite (Young Bucks, Omega & Ibushi).

Your turn.

My list isn't very good & I'd really only want to see 1, 2, 3, 7 & 9 (Maybe) out of the matches I made:

  1. Eddie Guerrero vs Kenny Omega
  2. Chris Jericho vs Marty Scurll
  3. The Hardy Boyz vs Edge & Christian vs The Young Bucks
  4. Minoru Suzuki vs Chris Benoit
  5. The Rock vs Kazuchika Okada
  6. KUSHIDA vs X-Pac
  7. Shawn Michaels vs Kota Ibushi
  8. Triple H vs Tomohiro Ishii
  9. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Tetsuya Naito

@Denim&Venom You really liked my fantasy booking!? :pinkie:

Which match would you like to see the most from my list?

Whelp, time to stop watching Raw.

Spoiler

They gave the WWE Universal Championship back to the worst champion in the history of the company.

If fans weren't upset before crown jewel, they will be after. If not for the controversy around the title match, then it'll be for the end result of that World Cup.

I feel bad for those who lose to The Miz, I consider that another instant burial.

'Taker's already 5-0 against DX at 'Mania, so I wasn't surprised to see them win here (gotta even things out some, I guess).

That said, Lesnar Vs. Strowman was just a slap in our faces -- not so much because Lesnar won (wow, what a shock), but because Strowman's offense was literally nil (thus reducing him to "The Jobber Among Men") on top of it.

Personally, I'd say his Smackdown reigns as champion and feud with Kurt Angle in 2003 was when fans cared about him the most.

Well, among all of this WWE did something right.

People are talking about Crown Jewel and it's aftermath.

And like Easy E always says:

"Controversy creates cash."

There are worse wrestlers in the world to lose to, as crown jewel has demonstrated.

I had a "daydream" moment with Omega vs Guerrero. Man, that would've been cool to see. :sunny:

Suzuki vs Benoit was more of a "This would be intense!" kind of feeling. :o

It would be intense. I almost had Suzuki vs. Haku.

Now I know those two haven't fought yet cause both of them are still walking this earth.

That’s cool but I cannot take someone with that name, seriously.

And his gimmicks have been totally boring and annoying.

IMO, the heel in the business today is Sami Callihan.

How would you know? By your own admission you haven't watched any of his matches lately.

Besides, we all know the best heel is 'switchblade' Jay White.

Anyone who can make 'the torturer' Minoru Suzuki be cheered like a hero has to get some credit.

Either him or Bully Ray's work in ROH. I mean anyone who can make 'the most miserable man in wrestling' Silas Young seem sympathetic has to be doing something right.
