So I'm finally joining the YouTube Poop community again. About three years ago, I started doing YTP's, and I got better over time. I'm not sure if any of my old ones can be seen on YouTube anymore, but either way, I'm finally getting back into it, and I'm starting with Bee Thompson's Vinesauce collab. My entry has been sent and accepted, and I'm quite excited to see the other entries!

 

But with that said, I was wondering if there was any other YTPers on the forums. I've always found the "art" of the YTP to be interesting, so if there are any of you out there, post your own poops. I'd love to see different styles and whatnot.

I'm an aspiring YouTube Pooper. So far I made 2 mediocre Pokémon YTPs and 1 decent one. But after making those poops, I've become more familiar with Sony Vegas and I'm more experienced now. 

 

I'm currently making an MLP YTP and it mostly takes place in the Crystal Empire. It's taking a lot longer than my other poops but I'm hoping to finish it by the end of Spring. I'm also planning a Little Mermaid and Hercules YTP.

 

My plan is to take only a few sources that I'm not only very familiar with but ones I have a lot of funny ideas for. One thing I like to use are homages to another source or franchise. I'm planning on using homages a lot in my poops. If I only have a single gag for a source I'll just release it as a very short gag video rather than a full YTP.

 

I had a Spingebill poop planned as well but I decided to cancel it after the recent Viacom takedowns though I will still make SpongeBob references or homages.

Ah, Sony Vegas. I remember using that back when I first started. At the beginning of this year, however, I sort of fell in love with Adobe Premier. Sony Vegas did me good though, especially with ear rape. RIP in Piece Sony Vegas.

Sounds like your poops are a bit of a mixed bag. I have no clue why, but my best poops come from reviewers, mostly JonTron and YourMovieSucks, and LPers, like Vinesauce (Vinny specifically) and Game Grumps. Possibly because it gives me two possibilities for humor, the hosts and the game/movie/etc. The MOAR the merrier, I guess.

What do you mean by mixed bag? Anyway I'm trying to make the best poops I can using sources from my childhood or ones I think would be funny to use.

I mean mixed bag in a sense of using a lot of different sources. Little Mermaid and Hercules are two that I don't see that often in the community, so it's nice to see a bit of variety! Spingebill and King of the Hill can only entertain for so long.

Golden Rule: Have fun.

 

But in terms of just editing, start simple. Do some research on what works for you. Progressively get more advanced as time goes by. That's it from me though, YouTube Poop is an art without (major) principles.

I actually became so much more familiar and experienced with Vegas throughout the Spring and I was able to make a pretty well done MLP YTP. It's nearing completion but I hope to upload it in the first week of June. It will be over 7 and a half minutes long. I hope it gets a lot of views because I worked pretty hard on it.

I used to be a YTP'er, but I stopped doing them because I lost the drive to make them. I almost felt like I was being forced to make them. 

 

However, I still enjoy watching them from time to time.

I've watched a ton of them and really enjoy them. I'm considering to start making a few, but I'm not sure how to start. I already have a lot of experience with video editing, I even attempted to make a YTP but got frustrated and gave up.
