Bigger depth of why celestia has a Phoenix

While i was surfing you tube i cam across this video, I am somewhat surprised as to how much detail this show gives. It wasn't just a coincidence as to why Celestia has a pet bird and to why it was called the royal bird. Phoenix were almost always connected with royalty.

It can also be a reference to Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix...

I think that was a reference to something else.

Interesting. I'm not sure how much thought originally went into Philomena, but Princess Celestia is often compared to Dumbledore, so I took A Bird in the Hoof as a reference to that. I do think it's possible that she was created as an ideal royal pet as well. Also, Princess Celestia has lived for over 1000 years, so perhaps she needs a pet with a less finite lifespan like a phoenix who is reborn periodically.

It's an apparently immortal fire bird. That alone make enough sense for why a phoenix. Lol.
