[Fallen Valkyrie 525]

                                                                                   Chapter II

The situation worsens for the citizens of Crystal Mountains.Volunteers have eased the burden, but more refugees hobble down from the deep mountains. The storm there gains momentum, but the forces of good are beginning to rally. They’re sending their heroes to defend the land and its peoples. Someone must hold back the gathering storm.

                                                                              Gathering Storm

Storm was stil raging on but our two litle heroes started a walk annyway.And as they walked they could see guards runing to the northern gates,with bandages,food and supply,medical where there too.Actually there were a lot of ponys on north gates,but Tyra and Radiant couldn't see what is going on.As they got closes they could see there where lot of  hurt ponys,some had burn mark,some where blending and some passed out.
And as they wached this one pony comed from behaind  "You see this?I  found  this  group  not so further from ur  litly trouble wit  Ice elementals." and as he got closer they could see it was Tybalt "So wher are other two?Not in the land of dead I believe?" with grin on his face he asked.

Radiant looked over all the injured ponies and back at Tybalt "do we know what did this to all these ponies. Most look like innocent bystanders this shouldn't be allowed to continue!" Radiant exclaimed as his usual serious composure was pushed aside by anger, he hated seeing innocents injured especially to.such a degree.

 

Radiant took.a deep breath and calmed himself slightly but was still very upset. "Those two are still.at the tavern, I told them they should.rest up while I'd do some patrolling through the night." He explained.

Tyra blinked over at all the commotion, and saw all the injured ponies. Like Radiant, she began to fill with an anger of her own.

 

"No innocent ponies deserve to be hurt like this," she said sternly, scowling at Tybalt, "Tell me where the attacker went, I shall deal with him swiftly!"

Tybalt grin desapiered from his face "No Radiant,we dont know who or what did this,actuly they dont know what happened to them.Most of them say storm hit there vilage,ground start to open and black smoke started to raise to the sky,and some creatures droped from sky and pulled em down in hole.But what is worse order agents report that this is happening every where on mountains." He than looked at litle pony "Come down and clere your maind lile one,angry onces die frst..."

Blizzard woke up the next morning fresh as winter's first snowfall, "Aah, that feels better, I wonder if Caliber got any sleep?" He went to Caliber's room, "Wake up dude! Time to go! Raid and Ty already left, whaddya say we catch up to them?" Caliber didn't wake up so Blizzard gave him a gentle freezing touch, guaranteed to wake any pony up. "*touches Caliber with freezing cold* Wake up man!"

(OOC: before you guys start your thing let us finish the night part)

 

Radiant looked at Tybalt and back at the injured ponies "just make sure they get taken care of I'll continue patrolling make sure nothing like that happens here." Radiant said as he turned away from the injured ponies.

 

He cast his light spell which all guards in canterlot are required to know and a beam of light emitted from his horn. Radiant then continued patrolling the town.

Tyra snorted indignantly before trotting up to Radiant, walking at his pace.

 

"Whoever did this to those ponies shall pay dearly for their actions," she growled, glancing around for any strange activity, before recalling that Radiant said she could continue her story, "so as I was saying, my father is the chief of our village, and my older brother is being trained to take over one day."

 

She glanced over her shoulder, back at the scene. "I chose to travel around and learn as much as I can about the world, as well as help anypony in need, like right now."

Radiant looked around making sure nothing was amiss. "It's definitely an honorable goal to help those in need. As a personal guard I don't leave the palace often, but when I get sent out on a mission I help those that I come across." He said continuing to walk through the streets

 

 

After patrolling through town into the later half of the night Radiant finally made his way to the tavern where he slept outside the rooms of his allies to make sure no one would come after them without going through him.

 

Morning arose and Radiant went down stairs and got himself a warm mug of apple ciDer while he waited for his allies to awaken.

Blizzard came downstairs, "Good morning everpony! hehe I pranked Caliber earlier, but he didn't wake up, so I took it up a notch. When he gets out of bed, he'll slip and slide all around his room because I coated his floor in ice! It's gonna be funny. So how ya guys doin' this moring?"

Tyra let out a loud, long yawn as she walked downstairs, stretching her limbs and feeling them click and pop.

 

She spotted her companions and walked over to them, grinning.

"Good morning, my friends," she greeted brightly, "does anypony know where I may get some breakfast? I am feeling an urge for salmon this morn!"

Blizzard replied, "I don't know. Hmm I think I saw a fish market at the edge of town. Try there. Anyway I got a map yesterday, and I've been mapping out key locations on this thing." Blizzard then rolls it out on a table, "While you're out, I'm gonna do some mapping. Good luck looking for fish, I'm in the mood for a sandwich."

OOC: Not gonna question why your OC is a horse who eats fish.

Radiant smirked at blizzard after he explained his prank "i'll be waiting for the thud when he hits the floor." he said as Tyra came downstairs he listened to her question. "Well they have some food here, not sure about salmon. Come to think of it I could use some food to."

 

He walked up to the counter "may I get a juniper berry muffin?" The bartender nodded at him handing him a muffin from a display cabinet. "Thank you" Radiant said as he went back to his table to enjoy his muffin.

"Ah, perfect!" Tyra grinned widely, studying the map closely, then nodding as she planned her route, "I shall go and get some breakfast, I won't be long!"

With that, she trotted out the door, excited to get some fish.

 

Just as Blizzard said, just on the edge of town was a fishmonger, tending a stall with a wide selection of fish to choose from. Grinning, she trotted over.

"Some salmon, please," she ordered, pointing a hoof to the fish in question.

The fishmonger nodded and grabbed a pair of salmon, plopping them in a bag and holding it out to the mare, who grabbed it in her teeth and gave some bits in return.

 

Quite happy with herself, she trotted back to the tavern, excited to get the fish cooking.

"I have returned!" She tried to yell, but it was muffled with the bag's handles between her teeth. She walked back to the table and spat the bag out onto it. "Does anypony know where I may cook these?"

 

OOC: She's a viking, and I think horses are omnivorous

Radiant saw her drop the fish on his table, he found the smell of them revolting. First time he had seen a pony actually want to.eat fish "you can probably ask the bartender," he said taking a bite out of his muffin and promptly followed it with his cider. "Otherwise their muffins are pretty good.

I hobbled out of my room.

"Not worth 70 bits..." I grumbled.

I guess I did get the next to last room, but still. I stretched out my wings and headed down to the pub to wash away some memories. It's five o'clock somewhere I figured, trying to convince myself I didn't have a problem.

 

I heard panicked voices coming from a room and knocked on their door.

"You ponies ok?" I asked

Pssh. I shouldn't have knocked cause no one was in there.

"I need to stop and just go get breakfast," I said to none in particular.

 

I went down and ordered an Apple fritter. Earth ponies have their ways with confections, I had to admit. Specifically those Apple ponies.

the ponies heard something coming out of calibers room. it was muffled, but they could hear what was happening. "yawn...huh? frostbite? meh, probaply from my duel with ice...WHAT THE-AAHHHH" CRASH! BANG! "why is the ground ice?!"  BANG! SHING! the door was kicked open, and caliber scrambled out, looking like he had been in a huge fight. "ice...blizzard...you are going down." caliber said, as he began walking towards him, "but first, breakfast!" he sat down, and began to ingest impossible amounts of food.

Blizzard was still mapping when he heard the prank worked, "Ok that's really funny!" He fell out of his chair laughing his flank off, "Woohoo! That's a good one isn't it?! Hahaha! *gasping for air and deep breaths* Oh man, ahem did you sleep well were your dreams cool?" He then got a sandwich from the bartender, and began to eat it. "I love grass sandwiches! Hey Caliber did ya have a cold  wake-up call?" He starts laughing again as he sits down to his map. 

OOC: Corncob, horses are herbivores, but your OC is fine since she's supposed to be unique.

caliber glared daggers at him. "i almost died." he said, "i only survived because i had my sword with me." on that happy note, he continued munching on what appeared to be his 50th sandwich. "so, tyra, you got any skill with that axe? or do you just swing it around...?"

"Ah, a good idea!" Tyra grinned, and trotted up to the bar to ask the tender, "Where might I be able to cook my salmon?"

"Well, you can use the fireplace there," the barpony explained, pointing his hoof to the fireplace, "just do it quickly, I don't want the place reeking of fish."

"Many thanks," she grinned, and slammed a few bits on the table, "some of your apple cider too please, it is quite nice!"

 

She grabbed her mug and set it on the table, noting a new pony entering from upstairs, followed by a series of bangs and familiar yells from above. As she grabbed her bag, Caliber appeared and looked rather enraged at Blizzard. Better to leave them to it.

 

She trotted up to the fireplace and set the fish on the little grill above the flames, watching excitedly; grilled salmon was one of her favourites.

 

She noticed Caliber asking about her skill with her axe, and she answered with a proud smirk.

"Did you watch me in the battle yesterday? My father taught me every move I know!"

Blizzard was apologetic, "Sorry, if you got hurt bro, just wanted to test something out, you know, if a battle's not going my way, I can freeze the floor and turn it in my favor. *snickers* And I see it worked. *serious face* but ahem, once again dude sorry, but you gotta admit it was amusing!"

caliber was consuming food at an alarming rate. "yeah, i saw you in combat yesterday." he said, "but i can tell you wernt going full out." he drunk a gallon of cider, "and yeah, ice, that would be useful. as long as you can find a way to make it only for them. not all of us can ice-skate like you."

Radiant smirks after hearing the commotion upstairs of caliber slipping on the ice floor. As caliber came downstairs Radiant took a drink of his cider and watched him sit down with loads of food being dropped in front of him.

 

Radiant's was beginning to feel sickened watching caliber down so many sandwiches. 'where does he put it all?' He thought to himself.

 

Radiant manages to finish his muffin and cider. He left the tavern and stood outside beside the door unable to watch caliber inhale food anymore. He stood at attention. Out of habit as if he were guarding the door.

Blizzard got to thinking as he took another bite of his sandwich, "Ice grips! There's an equipment shop across the street! They sell ice grips for you hooves so you won't slip! I'll go buy some!" Blizzard rushed outside and came back with the black hoof coverings, "Here Caliber, take these, if I pull that move you can slip these on, so you won't slip on the ground, plus the mountain is slippery too, we would've needed these sooner or later. Try 'em on guys!"

Tyra smirked as she cut up the cooked fish and brought it to her table, proceeding to stuff it in her mouth and wash it down with her cider.

"Where did Radiant go?" She tried to say, through a mouthful of fish.

 

She couldn't help but cock an eyebrow at Caliber. She knew warriors had large appetites but that was just crazy.

 

She noticed Blizzard dash out, and just as she finished up her fish he'd returned with some strange shoes for Caliber. These two ponies were certainly unique.

Blizzard then turned to Tyra, "I got some for you too Ty! Try them on, because if I freeze the floor while we're fighting, or if we walk up a slippery mountain, you won't slip. And by the way, Raid is outside 'guarding' the tavern door, must be some old habit." He then gave Tyra the ice grip shoes.
