Honestly, I do like it, but it depends on the person actually playing and commenting. There are some that I can't stand as they annoy the she-bang out of me, but others like Markiplier or Achievement Hunter are joys to watch and listen to.

he ones i dislike are the ones who talk through important cut-scenes, and dialogue.

He's fun to watch, genuine reactions. Had moments where he acts like a tough guy and says "Bring it on", then after a scare, he goes "Bring it off". Always hilarious.

He played one of my horror games! The entire video, quote that I most liked is "What The Fucking Fuck" xD

Oh man, been fan of him 4 years now, really happy to see his successful, and god, when he gone to hospital few days ago, I felt really sad :/

Sorta, a little interaction with the community is nice, and answering their questions, etc.

 

 

Hard to understand joke if you don't play civilization 5, but Marbozir cracks me up and hes not even funny very often but when he is...

 

(context - he had a load of camel archers that were surprisingly kicking the butt of higher units like infantry, rocket artillery, etc.)

When it comes to most Minecraft LPers, it's almost a given for the LPer to either be talking like 80-90% of the time whilst he's mining or crafting, or to be in a Skype/Teamspeak call/channel with running commentary from other players, particularly if doing something on a server (see: Direwolf20).

Commenting on the game is, to me, somewhat of a necessity in some cases. Sometimes the game would be pretty boring to watch if there was no commentary, as far as cutscenes go, there are some that you shouldn't talk in and some where it doesn't really matter.

 

As for Lets Players, I prefer those who are a little on the crazy/funny side. I remember watching so many Let's Plays of pyschadelicsnake because his commentary was so hillarious (With That Crazy Commentary Son)

If it's a game that is single player and has a story line to it then normally no.  If it's multiplayer then yeah sure.  Also might depend if I'm stuck on something or need to know about a strategy.

Yes, i usually do like to watch lets plays, it depends on the person though. A few of them i have found to be annoying, I like watching EpicLBPTime.

I only watch Let's Plays if the person has a good sense of humor. Sometimes it's cool when you have two people playing games together, and you get to hear really interesting conversations. 

But what can be annoying is when you're trying to just look for just a play-through, and once you click on the video: surprise let's play.

I like to see the reaction of the gamer sometimes but if it's something like a game with a story and if I can't hear what the game is saying while I'm watching and they don't have any text down below to tell you what they're saying, then I'll simply look up a no commentary video of it. Or if the game has someone speaking and I want to completely hear what they say.

 

(Example: FNAF and the Phone Guy is talking and I want to hear what he says.)

 

Also, cool to see more Markiplier fans. XD
