Favorite and Least Favorite DLC's

I think the DLC I've gotten excited about most was either the G-rank Silver Rathalos in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate or maybe the Ringed City for Dark Souls 3.

Least? Horse armor in Elder Scrolls Oblivion. >:I

Favorite: Dr. Ned's Zombie Island from Borderlands 1

I really like playing through this DLC so much. Seriously, I usually don't get the zombie appeal, but I really liked the way it was implemented here. The only part that frustrates me with this DLC is how easy Undead Ned is to kill for a final boss for a DLC. I can kill him with mediocre weapons in 2 or 3 minutes tops... Nonetheless Amazing DLC, with an interesting plot and insanely humorous, even for Borderland's standards (Definitely better than the forced humor in Borderlands 2).

Honorable Mention: Point Lookout (Fallout 3)

Least Favorite: Operation Anchorage from Fallout 3

The ONLY good thing about this DLC is the Gauss Rifle at the end (They were so broken in Fallout 3 :D). It's EXTREMELY boring and absurdly easy to play through, particularly for Fallout DLCs. Seriously, all you do is shoot at Chinese soldiers, that are super weak. The DLC is SO EASY, it can be beaten with a LEVEL 10. Most Fallout DLCs require you to be at least most of the way through the game to be able to even try to beat them. Operation Anchorage is just that awful.

Dishonorable Mention: Mad Moxxi's Underdome (Borderlands 1)

Least Favorite - Definitely Street Fighter X Tekken, if for no other reason than it being the worst example of on-disc DLC, especially when they're charging $20 for it

Favorite - I'm really liking FE:Awakening's DLC, but I'm gonna throw my vote for RDR Undead Nightmare as well, or most Rockstar DLC in general

God I'm such an idiot for saying this :P. In hindsight FE:A's DLC was atrocious

I stand by Undead Nightmare though. Runner up goes to Smash, it kept the Pre-release hype going even after the game, which was always some of my favorite parts of each game. Plus the new characters added(minus Corrin :p) were all great.

Also stand by my least favorite. With the Horse Armor being a runner up

I played Fallout New Vegas for years and loved every bit of it, but when I got the Ultimate Edition for PC sometime along the way, the game felt truly complete. I loved ALL the DLCs lol

Dead Money was heavily criticized and it was insanely frustrating at times, some folks I know just want to GTFO once they dispatch Father Elijah. For me, once that collar came off, I went straight back into the villa to find more goodies.

Lonesome Road however, was my most favorite of them all, great storyline and a boatload of interesting enemies and equipment. All the upgrades for ED-E immensely furthered his usefulness as a companion in the Mojave too. My favorite part was siding with Ulysses against hordes of Marked Men near the end, truly a battle more epic than the showdown in the Legate's Camp.

100% this

Dead Money is rewarding as fuck, Old World Blues has amazing character design and dialogue, and the ending to Lonesome Road made me cry

Fuck Honest Hearts though, that DLC was hot garbage and it adds basically nothing to the game.

The Witcher 3's two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

Also GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City.

I would pick bad dlc but I avoid dlc I know is bad.

Favorite DLC: Mass Effect 3 Citadel. It's one giant fanservice pack. Great soundtrack, a gorgeous looking part of the citadel, and full of goofy self referential humor all throughout. The party at the end is one of my favorite levels in all of gaming. It's the perfect send off to all the characters we grew to love throughout the series.

Least favorite: Pretty much any of the Arkham Knight DLC story packs. They're basically bite size missions that don't add as much as they should've IMO, with exception of the Mister Freeze section in The Season Of Infamy pack. I haven't played it in a while, so maybe I'm overlooking something.

I can add a new least favorite to my list: Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep from Borderlands 2. What a massive waste of potential. I love the setting, I love the idea and some of the music is great too, but everything else is sooooooooooooooooo by the numbers. Much like with Bully by Rockstar, this is a case of the developers taking a particular setting and going as cliche as they could possibly get. There are two sides to how the dialogue is in this DLC: Cliche medieval talk or making jokes about the fact that it is a roleplaying game. Not much else. They could have done something spectacular with it all, but instead they just keep the same gameplay that we have been going through for hours on end already. Nothing is different, except a new grenade mod type that is suppose to represent casting spells and that is almost nothing. It is just shoot shoot and more shoot. With how wacky they try to make Borderlands, there was a lot of potential for interesting gameplay here. Nope. Instead we get the same extremely hit or miss (mostly miss) humor. The boss fights are the same as every other boss fight in the game, that being totally awful.

The worst part? As hinted at by the title of it, your guide through all of this is the insufferable Tiny Tina, a character that is about as tryhard as you could possibly get. Her jokes are not funny, her random pitch changes in her voice come off as desperate and she is one of the worst characters ever. Her being at the forefront here automatically brings the DLC down a few notches, but it goes further down because of the sheer lack of creativity. I will say that the ending cutscene was really nice though.

Opinion is still the same pretty much. A couple of things to add:

Honestly, Dr. Ned's Zombie Island was basically already a Halloween tradition for me at that point.

I hardly erven remember anymore what Operation Anchorage is even about, but still remember how brutally easy and poorly implemented it was.

Sticking with tradition, I've been pretty welcome with most of the Smash DLC, even some of the ones I never really cared for(like Hero or Minecraft) I've been cool with and think they're worth while series to the series, and generally I'm fine with inclusions given they add a lot to the game whether it be bringing new franchises or add more to underrepresented ones

That said, unsurprisingly Byleth was a pretty shitty inclusion and really sucked out a lot of hype, whereas everyone else brings something new, Byleth is just more fucking Fire Emblem, a franchise I'm sick of seeing constantly getting multiple new characters every game, to the point where even Sakurai is getting sick of it. I don't want this to be a "3rd party characters only" DLC for Smash but bring in someone who can add a lot to the franchise, whether it's bringing in a new series, adding some who's been lacking, or even giving the rub to a really obscure game. None of their big franchises that's already gotten more than enough attention, no more freaking FE. Only way for Nintendo to top Byleth as the worst new comer is if they announce another Pokemon or Mario character(maaaaaaaybe except for Toad).

Zelda's the only exception to this though, they should have gotten more characters 2 games ago. The fact that the most it's gotten is multiple Links that play the same is kind of gross. I'd be totally open for Impa, Midna or one of the Champions becoming DLC fighters

Sephiroth for Smash has really hit the ground running since he came out, he's so much fun.

Byleth was also designed for patient and strategic players, and most Smash players (in my experience) are neither of those things, so there's that too.

Motorstorm's Devil's Crossing and Coyote Revenge DLC Festivals were fun, tearing up new tracks with new cars on an already great game.

As for my least favorite DLC, I'd say Fallout 4's Far Harbor. The map is fine, I liked to explore it a lot. I just didn't like the story that came with it, the lowest point was doing Dima's memory puzzles.

The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. Awesome story, fantastic new area to explore. This could've been a game in its own right. The other Witcher 3 DLC (Heart of Stone) was awesome too.
