The OC is my Ponysona. Her name is Veiled Spike. It's her name because it really brings sort of the gothy and metal vibe to her. The creative process is actually nothing. It was suggested to me by a pony name generator on DeviantArt.

Mist = Clouds. Blitz = Fast. Mist Blitz Special Talent is her ability to clear skies pretty fast. I kinda just thought it in my mind.

My Oc's name is Happy Spark, the cutie mark is a bomb with a happy face thats lit. Its brings out his personality because he is so happy and wherever he goes he spreads happiness and he is highly interested in explosives

In other words. He explodes in happiness hence name cutie mark and everything else.

I mostly just use sayings. For example: Willy Nilly, Jam Session, Olly Olly Oxen Free. If the expression fits with the pony's personality, that's the pony's name

Mine is Proton. It's a really cool name! I actually like to build the personality around the name. Therefore, Proton is really intense and creates strong bonds with his friends and family but those bonds can break easily.

I actually have two:

Timey Marey: I thought of it when I gave her an hourglass, thereby ending the life of "Ignition", her predecessor. Precognition of her cutie mark? Yes. Her name makes sense, since she's a mare, and works as a horologist when she doesn't have her espionage duties.

 

Pierce Goldeneye: Infusing an actor's name and a movie's title. Appearance-related. He actually does in fact have "golden eyes".
