gaming What games on steam do you recommend

I am getting very annoyed at all the people who only play skyrim.

But, yeah, ALL OF TEH ELDAR SCRLLS

It is constantly recommended to me that I play Skyrim, and when I explain that it just doesn't seem like something that I'd be interested in, I typically get the "but this game..." treatment.

Annoying forcing is annoying.

People seriously need to calm down about this game and stop pretending it's god incarnate

Im not a super big gamer or Steam user but Civilization V is fun. In fact, when you start, its downright addicting.royal_civ_night_by_silfoe-d6rjufc.png

And there are a lot of pony mods made by lots of users, including yours truly. :smug:

Edit: that pic is not mine

Depends on the games you're into ^_^
For strategy I'd definitely recommend civilization 5 or endless legend (Slightly more complex civ 5 but with magic and shit xD Both are really addictive)

Action? Team fortress two (Its free so why not? xD)  , fallout 3 + new vegas and skyrim. Dishonored.

Quirky puzzle/sandbox thingys? Kerbal space program, besiege ( Like kerbal space program, but instead of spaceships its horrifyingly evil/hilarious siege weapons designed by psychopaths), Gmod (Can do pretty much anything for you there, from action to horror. Depends on what gamemode you choose : P)

For horror (Not into the genre but psh) Amnesia and outlast.

Probably mentioned too many games but  >.<

There's a few games I can recommend

Terraria

Borderlands 2

Borderlands the pre-sequel

Team Fortress 2

The Elder scrolls: skyrim and oblivion - Skyrim is popular from players and people.

Starbound - It's like terraria and minecraft

DotA 2 - I know I haven't played this, but if ppl played league of legends, then you should be able to play it

Final Fantasy XI Online - This is pay 2 play, but you need square-enix account to play as well

5 nights at freddy's - Popular

Gmod - Popular

and Left 4 dead - I only played 1st one on xbox360.

The only steam game i'm not recommending is maple story in terms of how many complaints, bad reviews, bad reputation, how boring the game is, a lot of botters and afk grinders, and of course how bad the party play is so there's no endgame contents and it's all about grinding alone and a lot of people just keep the area in the chs for themselves with mules and saying that their party is full, but their party isn't full so i can tell that they're lying by that kind of words and preventing people from joining the party and making it hard for them to reach their goals.

Something a little overlooked, but Divinity: Original Sin is a really well done RPG that topped the sales charts for most of last years summer sales, impressive for an indie game funded through Kickstarter. So if your in the mood for a more classic-style RPG I'd recommend taking a look. :)

Haven't played original sin yet (And as far as I can tell its a completely different sort of game)  but I'd also recommend Divinity: Dragon commander.

Has somewhat crappy RTS sections, but the politics and characters are brilliant.
