I separate them into two kinds: Elitist and respectful Gamers. The Elitist will deny anything wrong with their pc, while a respectful gamer will not.

You're looking at a small pool of people, then. Even look at the "pcmasterrace" subreddit, they're currently ripping on steam for implementing a paid mod system. Sure, they may joke about consoles, but very few of them actually think their PCs are perfect and everything. 

As for the comments on youtube, it's youtube and that kind of stuff happens all of the time, the comments are always filled with trolls of all kinds.

No, but "we" don't do what you think. "Filthy Peasants" are the people who spew bullshit about consoles that isn't true, and that's what makes them stupid. You're acting like every PC gamer despises and chastises every console gamer because they are a, well, console gamer. That's not what it's about, and you're choosing the minority that does do that to represent the whole PC gaming crowd.

We've all played those games where some immature kid is on and can't stop being a keyboard commando for five minutes. I love being called the n word by eight year olds when I'm playing battlefield. I especially love hearing people tell me to kill myself and that I'm trash when all I'm trying to do is have some fun online. Halo is the worst example of this I have seen.

I was talking about the platform, not the games. And like I said, I was only saying that in the first place to prove a point that I don't have blind loyalty to PC gaming, not to start a debate on whether or not PC is better than console, despite us both preferring PC.

That wasn't toward anyone here, that was towards a douchebag who couldn't show one ounce of respect on YT. It was a quote from what i said to him. Its all the same, they can easily joke about it, but don't even consider others feelings.

 

By the sound of things you're directing it towards an entire group of people, theoretical or otherwise, rather than a single person? You're identifying them not by what makes them an individual, but that they feel stronger about PCs being better than consoles, or simply that they're a PC gamer. By identifying them by their group, it understandably sounds like what negatives you direct towards them is directed towards a large portion of their group.

Personally, I am a PC gamer, and prefer PCs over consoles; I'll still make the PC master race joke sometimes, but only because I don't take it too seriously, as in reality each is better suited to different things. I overall think PCs have more potential, personally, but I don't ever meaningfully bash consoles (unless it's like, bad company support/choices and customer mistrust-made-manifest).

All things aside, this is probably the most liable to be offensive when you think about it though.   Nazi supremacy has a horrible thing that got a lot of people killed and ruined countless lives. Am I wrong in thinking a disagreement over luxury entertainment options is nothing like that...?

RRD doesn't happen that often anymore after the recall. Its either someone didn't know what they're doing or just happened to have bad wiring in their console.

Still, it's pretty bad that the original 360 was released with such a major hardware error in the first place.

@, I dunno man. I get that it was a rage moment, and that you're directing it towards a minority that likely deserve it.

Like I attempted to say, I think it was more the language that you used that kinda... made it sound a lot like you were bashing a wide group rather than an individual or a small one. Venting frustration is one thing, but publicly bashing the beliefs of whole group is too easy to get people defensive over. But, meh, I get it was just frustration.

It's good to generalize as little as possible, regardless. People are reeaaally individualistic, and the you'll get horrible people on almost any side of any division.

I don't hate PC gaming but the biggest advantage for consoles I can think of are exclusives like Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts isn't on PC, and I'm going to get a PS4 for Kingdom Hearts III but if there was a PC version I would get that. And before you say I could use emulators, I don't like using emulators.

From my experience, every single corner of gaming has assholes, whether you're playing on PC, console, or handheld devices. It's a very toxic community, and attempting to narrow it down to a single group is missing a lot of assholes.
