KakeiTheWolf 652 April 14, 2012 Share April 14, 2012 Probably because it would have made it harder to get it on board the train. They still have to get it on him to have him walk it into there. No matter how short the cart is, it would make it too tall. Unlike a cart, Big Mac could collapse slightly to shorten his stature. My Music: http://kakeithewolf.bandcamp.com/. No matter how short the cart is, it would make it too tall. Unlike a cart, Big Mac could collapse slightly to shorten his stature. They still had to knock down a wall of the train to get the cake in. Not sure I follow how using a cart to comfortably take the cake to the train station would have been a bad idea. Having it on Big Mac's back the whole way with ropes and force field to keep it stable seemed very awkward.

KakeiTheWolf 652 April 15, 2012 Share April 15, 2012 The Cakes' approximate weight would be about 1200 pounds, meaning... 300 pound lift. The cake is probably 250. Also, the cart just adds more problems. You still would have to get it OFF the cart. Safe transfer is easier when it's on Big Mac, who could lower himself closer to the ground. Whatever 2 April 16, 2012 Share April 16, 2012 Oh my Celestia, that is a lot of calculating...... And I think the cake must be made out of dark matter. Nothing else could possibly be that dense.
Sunny Fox 5,952 April 16, 2012 Share April 16, 2012 Touché, and well-played. Why, thank you. XD Oh my Celestia, that is a lot of calculating...... And I think the cake must be made out of dark matter. Nothing else could possibly be that dense. Neutron star matter is denser, I think. The density of dark matter isn't known, since no one can actually find it or study it. Happy minion of The Fabulous One! Feather Spiral 1,892 May 6, 2012 Share May 6, 2012 (edited) Sorry for reviving an old topic, but we need more of this "fiction science" thing (giving scientific explanations to apparent nonsense in cartoons and games etc). I have a magasine about old TV shows at home, and in one of the articles, they calculate the size of the soccer field in Olive&Tom. I just looked it up and found out it's called Captain Tsubasa in English; it's an anime series where soccer matches become as dramatic and suspenseful as... soccer fanatics think it is IRL. Anyway, according to the article's calculations, it turns out the field was nearly 1.75 kilometers long. XD Edited May 6, 2012 by Feather Spiral 2 I take writing commissions. Jomintine 0 January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 There a youtube video that finds both the heights of the ponies and the mass of the cake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X6p9NuBSgo For the mass, they find the density of regular cake, find the volume of the cake, and use that to find the mass. It ends up weighing 146kg.
