Tree Hugger's fan art has drugs In it?

Hey, back in the late '60s early '70s I was a hippy.  Of course, like Bill Clinton, I NEVER inhaled.    I did know a fair number of people who dressed like Tree Hugger (well, allowing for the fact she's a pony & most of them were allegedly human).  Of course, I never saw any of them inhale either.  However, there were some very distressing rumors of the way some of them behaved.

 

In short, the character is about 20+ yrs. outdated, but the stereotype includes drug usage for a reason.

Oh, please. If it bothers you that much, than ignore it. Hoping for people to stop making art of her smoking pot is the equivalent to wanting to get rid of all the porn on the internet.

For me, some of things I would want to filter are artworks which contain the following: feet are prominent, adult characters in diapers, unrealistically extremely overweight versions of characters, etc.

 

I inevitably see those so I would appreciate it if I could filter them.

 

Derpibooru has the best filter system set up that I have seen. As long as the image is tagged correctly, then you're safe.

I'm pretty sure Tree Hugger was on something during the episode itself.

 

What did you expect?  She's a stereotypical hippie.  Granted, there could also be art of her chaining herself to a tree or protesting a war, but the internet latches onto one thing and runs with it.

 

And hippies are annoying; they were always attacking me when I visited Twoson.

Anyway,all this is the result of simple associations with some stereotypes. In fact it is not written anywhere that Tree Hugger is a hippie, psychedelic rock lover etc., but the creators of the character will definitely inspired by the hippie culture and maybe even a few new age spirituality.As the hippie culture was characterized (in general) also by the use of drugs .. people tend to represent Tree Hugger as a stoner.

I'm beginning to think that the creator(s) would have to pay more attention to "aesthetic" details of the character ..This may sound ridiculous, but I think even that a different touch to her appearance could remove her from certain stereotypes..

I know drugs are "bad" and junk and iv'e meant people who look like "hippys" some of who do and don't smoke but artist who depict her as a stoner do its as just a joke gag because stoners are funny too or smoke it them self. Like iv'e said you should have seen this coming.

Really? Have you checked out stuff on the show beforehand?  Its not even disrespectful, its nice art of a good character also being a stoner. Pot is just pot. Nice people smoke pot, weird people smoke pot. If anything it just adds another element to the character. 

Again, how is making berry punch a massive alcoholic, or Pinkie Pie a literal schizophrenic (Due to her getting pissed off once) any dfferent from assuming a guy who looks exactly like a stereotypical stoner is a stoner? >.<

I just don't get being pissed about this, this is like, the lightest negative (If you can even call it that) headcannon I've seen of a character in ages.

I'd understand something like "Oh shit I've seen this stuff on /mlp/ about fluttershy fucking bears wtf is with this fandom" or something ( Although that'd be tongue in cheek so I'd probably be ok with that as well xD)

Because bronies are highly visual they base the pony off their appearance and like to exaggerate on it. Take Rainbow Dash for example. She just has "lesbian" written all over her and people jump at the chance to highlight that. I know it can be frustrating but it's the internet.
